So far we don't re-draw our borders as some naive and misguided southerners do not want, southern Nigeria will be wide open to these foreign invaders under the canopy of one Nigeria. They will alter the demographics and it will be game over |

I didn't believe the police statement immediately I read it yesterday. The speed they used to conclude it was Irigwe youth was too suspicious. Their only evidence was that there was a mass burial of irigwe people so it must have been a retaliation. Without any investigation fa? |

Did you say Muslims occupying Jos North? Have you ever been to Jos? I entered Jos from KD very late years ago and our bus stopped at Bauchi Road. My friend I called to pick me up from the park was very reluctant and explained this unwritten understanding to me. |

Terrible. But how did the police conclude that the murderers are Irigwe youths? I have my suspicions because there is an unwritten agreement since the major crisis that Muslims generally occupy Jos North while Christians hold Jos South.
Both sides have generally kept to the agreement ever since. 21 Likes 4 Shares |

Will you call that normal? That only the rich can lead the people? That the masses are always under the tyrannical mercy of the elites. Wil you call that democracy in its true sense? Bro democracy is a goal. The most powerful people anywhere in the world are the ones that will decide who gets to win. That's the harsh reality When you have few cliques with all the power dictatorship very likely emerges. But in a state like Anambra aka Light of the nation ![cool](https://www.nairaland.com/faces/cool.png) aka Home for all ![cool](https://www.nairaland.com/faces/cool.png) with so many powerful interests there's a high level of scrutiny you hardly see in other states 2 Likes |

What about Ijaws taking control of their oil, sell and manage it 100% as they like. And other regions should try taking the route of China as you explain and want above? Don deal? Ijaws are not interested in progress. They had resource control in their province under the old Eastern region but igbophobia made them form an alliance with the north in 1966. Gowon scrapped resource control immediately and north did not allow the Niger Delta get any meaningful oil derivation until Igbos supported them to get 13% during the 1995 constitutional conference organised by Abacha. 5 Likes |

Out of all 4 Regional Military Governors, Ojukwu was the only one who welcomed the announcement of Decree 34.
Ojukwu stated that the decree will go a long way in strennghtning unity.
A few months down the line in Aburi, Ghana Ojukwu will be demanding for a return back to Regional assembly.
What changed? Igbos where no longer in power. KwaraRat: The Fulani and Igbo share more in their political outlook than they will like us to believe.
Both are fierce one NIgerianists - don't be fooled with Biafriasm which is only a consolidated form of Igbo Marxism after losing out to Fulanis in 1966. Biafra can not exist without minority tribal and coastal lands and so in essence is an Igbo version of a mini -Nigeria.
Both the Fulani and Igbo are dependent economically on the greater Nigerian state.
Both the Fulani and Igbo have reconciled and teamed up when you least expect it and are continuing their alliance up till this moment.
The PIB bill was facilitated by a deal reached by the Fulanis and the Igbos wherin the Igbos have been promised border oil wells in Delta, Rivers and Akwa Ibom if they support the Fulani stance which the Igbos did.
This is not the first time these Igbos have been aligning with the north to the detriment of the Niger Delta and south in general.
The Fulani is more than comfortable in handing over to an Igbo than they will any other tribe in Nigeria including even the Hausa.
What about Niger Delta slavish devotion to the Fulani since Boro and his ilk declared war on common sense in 1966 ![tongue](https://www.nairaland.com/faces/tongue.png) 1 Like |
