Students should be given time to adopt to the environment not judging them only with their first semester results ,I remember during my days my first semester result was more than poor but after that semester my results became wonderful, so mr Senate give them the needed time and don't attribute it to the stopage of post utme Biko, most of them will do better from their second semester.

The leadership of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has directed its members particularly those living in Anambra State and its environs not to go out between 6pm November 17 to 6pm November 18 in a bid to boycott the gubernatorial election in the state.

The group alleged that the Federal Government of Nigeria in cahoots with some governors of APC and some other leaders from the zone have plotted to unleash more killings on them during the Anambra 18th Governorship Election.

In a statement by Emma Powerful, Spokesman of the proscribed pro-Biafra group on Thursday, he disclosed that the intelligence unit of the separatist group had infiltrated a meeting where the plot to create a scenario of crisis and violence during the election in the name and guise of IPOB was hatched.

Comrade Powerful said that the intelligence before them hinted that thousands of miscreants have been booked to storm Anambra State on 17th of November with Biafra flags, emblems and other Biafra identifications to cause confusion and pandemonium so as to get the opportunity to substantiate their claims that IPOB is a violent terrorist organization.

He alleged in the statement that the hired miscreants have been promised a hefty sum of money each and that all the logistics had been put in place to enable them storm Anambra state during the forthcoming election, during which they would engage security personnel and innocent civilians in a violent confrontation.

The statement reads: “This evil plan concocted by the APC government in concert with Nigerian military and supported by unscrupulous South East governors is solely intended to cement their dubious efforts to label the great IPOB a terrorist group. Up till now, all efforts to convince, cajole, intimidate and bribe some countries of the world to designate IPOB a terrorist group has failed.

“They hastily came up with this plan to incriminate IPOB in a violent incident in the hope of turning world public opinion against a peaceful organisation agitating for self-determination through the instrumentality of a referendum.

“IPOB intelligence unit successfully infiltrated the meeting where this bloodbath was being planned. We uncovered the secret venue in Lagos where APC Party stalwarts from the South East and South South geopolitical zones met last week to finalise these murderous attacks.

“The meeting was attended by former Governor of River State Chief Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi, Minister of Science and Technology Chief Ogbonnaya Onu, Labour Minister Dr Chris Ngige, Imo State Governor Rochas Okorocha, former Abia State governor Dr Orji Uzor Kalu and Chief Raphael Lebeanya Uwazuruike the leader of Biafra Independence Movement (BIM).

“At this meeting, they resolved to provide arms and ammunition to a group of men that will be assembled by Ralph Uwazuruike and his BIM group since they need to give the attackers some form of Biafra colouration.

“They are to unleash a coordinated and violent attack against innocent civilians in Anambra State and border towns whilst dressed in Biafra and IPOB colours. These targeted killings of ordinary people are scheduled to commence from the evening of the 17th of November and last till the early hours of the 18th during the planned sit-at-home election boycott in Anambra State. The whole idea is to create the erroneous impression that IPOB is responsible for these attacks which will, in turn, lead to another wave of sustained military attacks on our homes.

“This will inevitably leave thousands of Biafrans dead because the Nigerian government knows that the world has consistently turned a blind eye to killings of civilians in Biafraland do they know they will get away with it. For the APC government led by Major General Muhammad Buhari, this will help convince the United States of America, European Union, France and the United Kingdom that IPOB is a terrorist organisation and to tag it as such.

“It is also on record that USA, EU, France, Britain and many other civilised nations of the world has made it abundantly clear to that IPOB with a registered presence in over 88 countries of the world cannot be regarded by any sensible government as a terrorist organisation.

“This dubious meeting was deliberately held in Lagos rather than anywhere in Biafraland to mobilise APC thugs and those who are not IPOB members to come to Anambra and surrounding states to wreak havoc on peaceful populations.

“We are not surprised that South East governors are still collaborating with Hausa Fulani Islamic North despite their role in instigating Operation Python Dance II which brought, even more, death and destruction to law-abiding citizens in Biafraland. Should Buhari’s APC government decide to go ahead with this plan, the world must hold Nigeria and South East governors responsible.

“Biafrans must be at alert because corrupt politicians in the South East working in tandem with the civilian killing Nigerian military will stop at nothing until they carry out of their devilish plans to implicate IPOB. They have mobilised vehicles, printed fake Biafra flags and IPOB uniforms; they have acquired automatic rifles and guns for this dangerous crime against our people during the election period.

“Biafrans are therefore required to observe a curfew from 5pm 17 November to 5pm November 18, 2017. Anybody found outside within this period will be killed by these thugs and men of the Nigerian Army. Every Biafran, especially those in Anambra and neighbouring states must not venture into Anambra State either on foot or aboard any vehicle.

“The evil plotters promised to give out the sum of 20,000 Naira each to those who volunteer to kill their fellow humans in Biafraland particularly those who would be travelling to or coming out of Anambra State during the election period between 17th and 18th November. As a responsible people oriented mass movement, we are worried about this cruel plan to massacre innocent people once again in Biafraland.

“We are advising every Biafran to stay in their homes and not venture outside from sunset on the 17 of November to sunset on the 18th. The Nigerian Army, Police, Navy and Civil Defence Corps are coming to Anambra State to kill as they did in Abia and Rivers during their illegal and murderous Operation Python Dance II. If you don’t come out, they will not kill you. Stay safe, stay indoors."

These are the words of an unrepentant, die-hard Boko Haram Commander, 22 years old Abba Umar, an acclaimed Kanuri from Shuare, Damboa Local Government Area of Borno state Boko Haram sect leader who confessed to have led several attacks before his arrest.

Coincidentally, 2019 is the year for the presidential poll in Nigeria and when the next leader would be sworn in.

Umar who spoke to Hotmannewsblog.com in Hausa last Thursday, October 12, 2017 insisted Abubakar Shekau’s emergence as Nigeria’s leader in 2019 is only condition for the group to drop their arms.

He also claimed that the Chibok school girls and other kidnapped women are sold off to willing buyers either to be married or as sex slaves. Umar would however not disclose who the buyers are.

“I married to two wives aged 15 and 16 years respectively. I married the first one when I was 18 and they were both in various stages of pregnancy before my arrest. I have not heard from my family since then. I don’t know whether they have given birth successfully or not”, Umar revealed.

The hardened young man was arrested in 2014 when his operation to bomb a mosque in Gombe was botched as the IED refused to detonate.

According to him, he would be fulfilled even if he dies today, because of the successful high profile attacks he has led as commander.

He listed some of them to include, but not restricted to the attack of the 33 Airforce Base in Maiduguri, Giwa Army Barracks, Bama Army Barracks, Police Mobile Base in Damboa, all in Borno state as well as Damaturu Army Barracks in Yobe state.

Umar who named one, Ibrahim Modu as his spiritual teacher confessed that after every successful attack, he immediately relocates to Sambisa Forest to plan a fresh operation.

“I have been in detention for three years and five months, which is; since 2014. If I die today, I am fulfilled and I know I will go straight to heaven because I have done my bit of what Allah wants me to do, which is to kill the kafirs (unbelievers) in our midst. So, I am not afraid to die. If it is the wish of government let them kill me right away. I know where I will go to.”

Umar revealed that he decided to go on a suicide mission to attack the Gombe mosque in 2014 as he was in a hurry to die and go to heaven, but was unfortunate that his effort was botched as the bomb laden in a Sienna vehicle he drove refused to detonate.

He disclosed that luck ran out of him as he was immediately arrested and taken to Abuja where he was initially detained before he was relocated to his present detention facility.

On why he failed in his Gombe mission, Abba Umar affirmed that the IED could not detonate because God destined so. “It was simply not meant to succeed, maybe, because Allah loves His faithful that was in the mosque to pray to Him that fateful day. Maybe, it’s the prayers of the residents of Gombe that worked against me that day. Allah knows best”, surmised the unrepentant terrorist leader who boasted that he is capable of operating all kinds of deadly weapons.

Ifeanyi Ejiofor reacting to a demand by the group that he (Ejiofor) and some other members of the IPOB be arrested, said the publication is misleading and baseless.

Ejiofor said the demand made by group is an offspring of inciting tantrums.

However, stating that LAWCONS does not exist, Ejiofor called on the group and its leadership to meet him in court as a party to the suit already filed against the Nigerian army chief of staff, Tukur Buratai.

He said: "From my far reaching research and extensive consultations, with the high echelon of the NBA, and other allied organizations, there is no such group, known and going by the name Lawyers of Conscience.

"Because if such persons exists, I will first extend my deepest sympathy to the supposed parents/guardians of this faceless group for wasting their hard earned resources, injecting these breeds of empty, and relatively uneducated rascals Into our poor society.

"If I know them as lawyers, I would have also add that these manifestly uninformed political hirelings really need to go back to university to understand how law work."

He also urged the group and its members to research and study more on the ethics of the law profession and its rules of professional misconduct.

He said that even non lawyers seem to be more learned that the members of the group who have described themselves as lawyers of conscience.

"From the poor content of the publication under reference, it depicts tantrums hurriedly put together by hungry motor park touts solely sponsored for a hatchet task. I will be failing in my duty as a lawyer if the intention of my rejoinder is to join issues with them on tantrums which does not bear the face of any known law.

"The publication which shows the level of frustration faced by the persecutors. I make bold to say therefore, that before the article will be given the undesired credit, I will request that the hoodlums who are acting the script written by their pay masters are fully unmasked. Removing their veil is significant in the circumstance, since they are operating under a pseudo name. It will assist with the full identities and particulars of the quacks behind the publication, for a job poorly executed.
