90' + 2'City seem to have given up, and the stadium looks almost entirely empty. Liverpool are comfortably holding onto possession as they look to run down the clock. 90' Substitution-Adam Lallana Kolo Toure 90'The fourth official has indicated that there will be four minutes of added time. 89'Sterling flies down the right flank before cutting a great pass into the path of Fernandinho. The Brazilian does well to cover so much room but can only send his first-time strike wide of the near post. 87'A City attack breaks down, allowing Liverpool to break forward. Ibe flies forward on a run but ends up losing his balance at the vital momnt, allowing the hosts to regain possession once again. |

87'A City attack breaks down, allowing Liverpool to break forward. Ibe flies forward on a run but ends up losing his balance at the vital momnt, allowing the hosts to regain possession once again. 85' Yellow Card-Nathaniel Clyne 85'What a chance for Sterling! A curling shot from Delph is pushed into the path of De Bruyne, who immediately cuts the ball back to the former Liverpool man, but he somehow ends up completely missing it from close range. He really should have done better. |

83'City fans are quickly making for the exit in the wake of that goal. Liverpool are cruising towards a famous victory and certainly deserve it after putting in a wonderful performance from start to finish. 81' Goal-Martin Skrtel GOAL! What a strike by Skrtel! The resulting set-piece finds Benteke, who nods the ball down into the feet of the centre-back, who immediately unleashes an absolutely phenomenal volley that flies past Hart and into the back of the net. That is surely that for the Reds! 80'Great save by Hart! Ibe embarks on a great run down the right wing before sending a pass straight into the feet of Benteke. The Belgian charges into the box before testing the City goalkeeper from close range, but the Englishman pushes it away with a vital diving stop. 78'Again, De Bruyne does well to get down the left wing before curling an excellent cross over to Iheanacho. The youngster takes a quick touch before unleashing a low, curling shot, but it's mishit and ends up flying wide of the far post. 77' Substitution-Roberto Firmino Christian Benteke Firmino makes his way off the pitch to be replaced by Benteke for the final 13 minutes. 76'The resulting set-piece bounces over the far post, where it finds Iheanacho, but the youngster is unable to get the ball out of his feet in time and is quickly dispossessed before he's able to get a shot away. |

49'Sterling and De Bruyne link up well on the right-hand side of the Liverpool penalty area before the latter fizzes a dangerous pass across the face of goal. It almost finds Aguero but Lovren does well to get in front of the Argentine to stop it from doing so. 47' Yellow Card-Emre Can Fernandinho immediately gets involved in the action and flies down the right flank before being brought to the ground by a sliding challenge from Can, who receives a yellow card as a result. 46' Substitution-Jesús Navas González Fabian Delph City have decided to make a double substitution during the half-time break. The first player to come on is Delph, who replaces Navas. 46' Substitution-Yaya Touré Fernandinho And the second is Fernandinho, who takes the place of Toure. 46'And we're underway once again! |

What an excellent first half that was! Liverpool have been absolutely brilliant and have ran riot in front of goal, and they head into the break with a well-deserved two-goal lead. However, Aguero's excellent strike has given City a chance of pulling off what would surely be one of their best ever comebacks, setting us up for what is certain to be a wonderful second period. HALF-TIME: MANCHESTER CITY 1-3 LIVERPOOL 45' + 2'The resulting corner is just about dealt with by Liverpool, but City come forward once again. De Bruyne twists and turns on the left flank as he tries to find a way past three red shirts, but he's eventually dispossessed before Milner thumps the ball away from danger. 45' + 1'That goal has made all the difference for City, who are looking far better when in possession. Kolarov charges down the left wing before sending a dangerous low cross towards Aguero, but Skrtel is just about able to stick out a foot to send it out for a corner. 45'The fourth official has indicated that there will be two minutes of added time. |

44'GOAL! Aguero has pulled one back! A poor attempted clearance from Skrtel can only find the aforementioned Argentine, who flies forward and skips past Lucas before beating Mignolet with an absolutely excellent curling strike from 20 yards out. 42'A Liverpool attack breaks down, allowing Toure to pick up the ball inside his own half of the pitch before sending a lofted pass towards Navas. It's completely overhit, however, and ends up bouncing into the safe hands of Mignolet. 40'Once again, City enjoy a lengthy spell of possession deep inside the Liverpool half of the pitch but fail to do anything with it. They've really struggled to find a way to deal with the visitors' impressive pressing. |

' Yellow Card-Lucas Leiva Aguero is cynically brought down by Lucas midway inside the Liverpool half of the pitch, resulting in a yellow card for the Brazilian. 37'City are finally able to push forward once again, with Sterling looking bright down the left flank. He's able to get a cross away but it can only find Skrtel, who heads the ball up into the air and into the hands of Mignolet. 36'Firmino goes close again! Lallana whips in a cross from the left wing that Coutinho brings down well before chipping a pass into the path of the aforementioned forward, who immediately spins and beats Hart with a lovely volley. It's sent slightly too far to the right, however, and ends up missing the far post as a result. 34'Firmino almost makes it 4-0! Once again, Firmino flies through the disjointed City back line to take advantage of a poor pass from Fernando, but this time his low strike is parried away by Hart. 32' Assist-Coutinho 32' Goal-Roberto Firmino GOAL! It's 3-0! Can holds up the ball on the edge of the City penalty before sending a lovely back-heel into the path of Coutinho. The Brazlian flies past Sagna, who is completely asleep, before teeing up Firmino, who is then easily able to tap the ball into the back of an open net from close range. The hosts are completely falling apart! 31'The hosts scream for a penalty, but nothing is given! Aguero breaks into the Liverpool penalty area before firing a low shot towards goal. It seems to strike the arm of Skrtel, who had dived to ground to get in front of the strike, but the referee ignores the pleas from the City players and allows play to go on. 1 Like |
