It sounds funny when the point you raised contradict your explanation. You first said it can be done in UK, then you went ahead to explain that the stringent immigration makes it impossible for international students to become citizen. Lol

This is not about bragging, but the most immigration friendly country to international student as at today is Canada. Apart from the cold (that one can get used to with time) and international tuition (that's even lower than that of UK and US), Canada is such a lovely country for international students

Nah...that would be Germany bro.
You dont pay tuition, you work and earn cool bucks(probably more than those in Canada €>$, ability to work full time...)

The only 'little' challenge is the language.
Then the big challenge is job after studies.

But if you actually just want to "study" and return, Germnay toh badt.

You may be right in your experience. But I have seen 3 graduates of Engineering who got jobs without much efforts... Elect , Biomed and Computer Eng.respectively. It all depends on what you hold. Within 3 months, yes..you can learn the basic things, communicate and interact...with time, you will become perfect. There are some professions that do not require much talks or deep communications...you do not need to spend one year studying Deutsche in this case. Once you are able to communicate, you are good to go and while on the job with time, you will become a guru in their language. However, I never said you would be prolific in Deutsche in 3 months. With time as you communicate on the job, you will blend well...all you need is the basics in Deutsche. Even English language is not learned perfectly in one year but if you dedicate time to it, read novels, communicate frequently, you can do better, even in a shorter time. Please you don't have to shout at my comment. That you spent a year looking for job does not mean somebody else won't get hired gainfully, in a matter of months after graduation.
I dunno about EE, but I know the computer eng/IT jobs far outweigh the applicants, and as for Biomed, I would love to get in contact with that guy please, let me get informed as regards tips. I know personally two persons who studied Chemical Engr who found jobs in over 2 years, i also know someone who got a job immediately after studies but that was far back in 2003. That said anyways truly the language requirements depend on what field on is in exactly and if one is going to interact with Operators who obviously only speak German in the Plant. In the end, we pra for God's Grace sha... Cos living in this place as a foreigner who is neither a student nor employed is crazily crazily expensive.

My goodness!!! You have come to troll this thread too with your negativity and message of pessimism after you were banished from the German visa thread for the same reason. I BIND YOU!!! Why do you only always have the bad situations to cite. Why is it that you have never had a story to tell about someone who made it. At least, he made mention of 3 of his friends who got jobs there. Several news similar to this, I also regularly hear of. Is it that good things do not happen around you there. This is beyond you claiming that you like to speak reality rather than give fantasies. You need to check deep within; do some soul searching.

But he was saying the truth naaaa.
Why dont Nigerians like hearing the truth?
The only job you can just get no stress is in IT. Every other job is very difficult to get, even Germans go two, three years without jobs. Now no one prays for this and again it depends on how lucky you are, but knowing the truth so one can prepare adequately for challenges ahead doesn't hurt.

Did you study Engineering in your bsc? If yes, go check the australian skilled migration thread. You don't need work experience for Engineering to get permanent residence in australia.

Lol! In Finland, after your master's degree if you are ok with CLEANING jobs you will be fine earning around 1500e per month. Some black PhD students do cleaning/ delivery jobs here... Just to let you know... Finns won't give you white collar jobs... #facts

I hope you know the current exchange rate. With 1500 euro per month you go marry, by land, start foundation, complete your house.. Your mate wey dey wear tie go work for 9ja go dey live for rented apartment for mainland dey suffer for traffic dey go work for island and it would take them years if at all they can to earn equivalent of that sum in Naira. Dey there dey despise humble beginnings. As long as you have a plan I see no reason why doing good paying odd jobs should be a problem.. Even if e mean to wash dead body sef.. I pray say i no do am oh.. Key word is "PLAN".

Every school is supposed to give graduating student a copy of their transcript for personal keeps.
some officials in these schools do not know this...and even if they do if you do not wet their hands then you are OYO.

I have a problems of Transcript...

the uni I attended here doesn't give out Transcripts to students...

And in some online applications, we need to upload our transcript... how do I do it?

I need to pay 40,000 to my school to post it to another school in Germany. my fear is what if they reject my admission application, my money is gone.

Easy look for someone working in ur exam and records department and wet him hand..

Or look for a Corper working in any of the exam and records department or PG school of any University in Nigeria send it there and again wet him hand...

Or some embassies require or certify transcripts. You can send it to them and get it back later

Or ask your Department to give you a STUDENT COPY of your transcript. Then you take it to a high court and certify it. You can then upload that.

Well, 'quality' and 'standard' are subjective ascriptions, so they can hardly be measured statistically... I only offered my subjective opinion.

Part of what I do on the side involves working directly with random students of random universities in the UK and USA, and more importantly, engaging with the course modules and coursework assigned to students in both countries. Therefore, my opinion is based strictly on my personal experience as someone who has had the opportunity to make assessments of the comparative academic rigour/standard that I've encountered.

I'm excluding the Ivy League schools in the US and Oxbridge schools in the UK (because I've not done any work with students in those schools so far) and basing my opinion on the 'regular' universities in both countries.

The same UK wey dey dash people distinction anyhow?

Yea, but you can learn their language in 3 months. It's not difficult if you're serious with it. There are also a lot of universities there that run programmes taught in English. If I was given 2 options...to school either in the uk where I won't be guaranteed job after my programme, even if I stayed forever OR to school in Germany where I'd only spend 3 months of my time learning their language which isn't difficult at all... and allowed to stay forever with good job, even marry one of their beautiful tall girls, I think I'd prefer Germany. Amazingly, their tuition isn't as crazy as that of UK or elsewhere and they will allow you to work while schooling. I had my MBA in Frankfurt and if I had wanted to stay, I'd have done just that.

Lol. Stimmt. Ich weiß. Deutsch ist nicht so shwer...but you first have to learn how to communicate before learning the German terms or vocab required to work in your specific Field or industry.
Of course you cannot place UK and Germany in same sentence as regards immigration policies... True the girls are beaitiful, fit and tall but how many go gree date you?
True you can make millions (Naira) whilst in Germany as a student, the only places that rival Germany in this regard are maybe Swiss or Aussie..

And since you didnt stay, where are you now?

Modified: the main koko is getting a good job after studies.. Although street sef go still pay.. But man pikin no fit remain for street all him life na

If you have an MSc, ur chances are high provided you have the right age, work experience, English score and if your spouse also have a BSc, good age and work experience then u are likely to get it. Remember you also need to have the required amount of money in your bank statement

I'm not married. Money wouldn't be a problem. I'm in my mid 20's should be 28 when I'm ready for the move. My grades also should be very good. The only problem is work experience. I have only six months experience done in Nigeria (intenship) and 5 months experience working here in automobile industry. My field is Process Engineering.. So you see the problem is experience. Any way around it?

No objection bro, you've said it all. I was wondering why nobody had ever mentioned Germany as one of the promising destinations for students. I can count at least 3 of my brother's friends who studied and stayed back there with sound jobs. The entire EU, including UK depends on Germany for technological and manpower development. Jobs are looking for people there. 2 guys among the aforementioned were on scholarships throughout their schooling in GmbH, which their Univ gave them.

Germany is good but the language is a problem.
Germany is 100 times better than UK still.

It depends on your motive for going to the UK. If all you want is highest quality education, then, then there's no better destination than the UK. Quality and standard of education there is top tier; better than the USA in my view.

However, if you consider your student visa a black market ticket to permanent residency and a fulfilling white collar career in the UK, then you might want to have a long, deep rethink. You're probably going to end up disappointed and stranded.

Uk schools better than US schools?
Anyways opinions are like ass holes...

I am 100% sure that Canadian Federal Express Entry immigration programme will give someone who has a masters from Nigeria, the same score they will give to another person with a UK masters. All they require is a degree that is equivalent to Canadian degree. If you use World Education Services or other company, you will discover that a Nigerian masters is equivalent with a UK masters. I am 100% sure of this.
