Politics / Leaked Audio: INEC Consultant Caught, Says Tinubu Plans $170M Bribe - Gazette by ochejoseph(m): 11:19am On Feb 25, 2023

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y8ERE_pzZSQ

A top consultant of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Olatubosun Adeniyi Kuku, has been caught on tape revealing that Bola Tinubu, the flag bearer of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), would offer $170 million to the commission’s officials to manipulate the results of the presidential elections across Nigeria.

Asiwaju is giving INEC $170 million,” Mr Kuku, who described himself as the number one consultant for the commission, told an official in the audio obtained by Peoples Gazette this week. “We will share it around; everybody will do the bidding.”

Among several other midsize businesses, Mr Kuku was identified by The Gazette as the owner of Winning Keys Consult Ltd., located at 9, Usan Street, Durumi, Abuja, which claimed to have helped candidates win elective positions.

Mr Kuku, who said he visited Mr Tinubu when the former Lagos governor promised to bribe the electoral officials, disclosed that he had received N8 billion worth of election-related contracts from the commission.

Last 2019, it is N7.8 billion the contract they gave me. Ask him who I am. They call me the Hembe Lembe of INEC. That’s what I do,” the consultant said.

In interviews, Mr Kuku repeatedly said he was not the one on the tape.

“It is not me,” the said by telephone on Friday morning. However, after The Gazette told him the voice was authenticated to be his, Mr Kuku abruptly hung up.

When The Gazette made another attempt to reach Mr Kuku shortly after his initial denial, he quickly said in Yoruba that the audio was recorded long ago and wondered why it could cause any troubles now. He failed to elaborate when pressed.

Whereas it could not be ascertained when or where the meeting Mr Kuku said he had with Mr Tinubu took place, his position as one of INEC’s biggest consultants was confirmed by The Gazette. INEC consultants have long been known to exploit their access to the electrical office towards personal inurement.

Yet, the electoral office strongly pushed back and summarily disowned Mr Kuku when asked for comments about the tape, which a pro-democracy activist described as “beyond disturbing.”

“The INEC chairman and national commissioners I know cannot accept money from any contestants,” spokesperson Rotimi Oyekanmi told The Gazette Friday afternoon.

“The processes that have been put in place have assured that no single person or any group of persons at all can influence the outcome of the presidential election in Nigeria,” the INEC spokesman added.

An INEC official said Mr Kuku’s status as a consultant with the agency would be placed under immediate review.

Bayo Onanuga, the APC Presidential Campaign Council spokesman, did not immediately respond to The Gazette’s request seeking his comments on the audio.

But Mr Tinubu has strongly denied all charges of corrupt practices or any attempts to compromise existing democratic processes. He was among the presidential candidates who signed a peace and fair pact in the weeks and days leading to today’s presidential election, saying it was only a continuation of his pro-democracy activity that peaked during the 1990s military junta.

Still, the candidacy of Mr Tinubu, a top contender in the presidential race being a choice of the ruling party and a key ally of President Muhammdu Buhari, has over time been tainted with age falsification, ill health, corruption and drug dealing allegations.

Ahead of the party’s presidential primary elections in June 2022, sources told this outlet that Mr Tinubu offered delegates bribes to secure their votes as the APC flag bearer.

The delegates confirmed to The Gazette that the APC flagbearer induced Ogun delegates with $25,000 and Adamawa $10,000.

Voting rights activist Greg Adesuwa said Mr Kuku’s disclosure about what he did with Mr Tinubu was not entirely new to Nigerian elections, which have for decades been characterised by violence, ballot box stuffing and outright rigging often linked to candidates and their political agents.

“This INEC contractor said Tiinubu was looking to bribe officials to the humongous amount mentioned, that is beyond disturbing,” Mr Adesuwa told The Gazette. “I hope the security agencies will work to investigate the man’s claim and hold all his co-conspirators to justice in this country.”

Mr Adesuwa said Nigerian politicians should move beyond seeing election as a violent and corrupt process and instead focus on polishing their ideas to make them sellable to the masses.

Politics / Atiku Vs Tinubu Vs Obi How They Stand On National Development Benchmarks by ochejoseph(m): 10:00pm On Feb 23, 2023
It was Peter Drucker who said that "effective leadership is not about making speeches or being liked; leadership is defined by results not attributes". This Saturday offers millions of Nigerians especially young people the opportunity to look beyond emotions, tribal affiliation, or religious sentiments to elect a President with a proven capacity to lead us out of the current mess we have found ourselves.

The purpose of this write-up is to help us look at the vital areas of national development and the capacity of the leading candidates to deliver based on their experience and antecedents.

Education: In terms of educational qualifications, Atiku is the most educationally qualified among the leading candidates, with an MSc in International relations from Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge, UK. Obi has an average Bachelor's in Philosophy from UNN, while Tinubu has a questionable degree in accounting from the United States.

In terms of their contribution to education, Atiku is far above his competitors towering above them in terms of direct and indirect contributions to the development of education in Nigeria. As Vice President, his passion for education led him to directly intervene in the plight of Anambra school children who were left at home for over two years by Mbadinuju, it was also under the OBJ - Atiku led government that the Universal Basic Education (UBE) programme was launched.

Atiku built Africa's first development university, the American University of Nigeria where rescued Chibok girls were given scholarships. He has also vowed to pay all the withheld and outstanding salaries owed ASUU members and other university workers to underscore his commitment to education.

Tinubu, on the other hand, has no history of support for education beyond a few secondary schools he built during his tenure as governor of Lagos, same goes for Obi and none of them have also gone back to school to earn an additional degree since leaving school.

Peter Obi's record on ASSU strikes and lecturer welfare is also abysmal. Under him, University students stayed at home for years while he owed some educational workers for 36 months.

Job Creation: If there is one qualification the next Nigerian leader needs is the ability to create jobs. Tinubu is the worst when it comes to this benchmark because even though he eats from virtually every taxpayer in Lagos, he has no business that creates real jobs in manufacturing or other key sectors that drive the economy.

Obi is not far behind because as a trader, Obi's major supermarket businesses are import-based most of which take jobs from Nigeria and send them overseas to countries where those goods are manufactured. In contrast, Atiku's businesses are massive creators of jobs. In some states, Atiku is the highest employer of labour after the government because his companies are into manufacturing, agro-based products, and other key drivers of job creation in the economy.

Power: No economy can develop without power. Energy generation is the single reason why most companies are not making profits even banks are now closing early because of the prohibitive cost of power generation. Peter Obi travelled all the way to Egypt to learn about power generation yet he does not know the meaning of "green energy"! This is after 8 years as governor of one of Nigeria's biggest states.

Tinubus's credentials in power generation are far better than Obi's because he single-handedly championed the Lagos state Independent Power Project (IPP) handled by the American Company, ENRON to generate 90 megawatts of electricity which led to some improvements in power supply in Lagos.

Atiku's first-class hands-on experience in the areas of power generation and transmission is one area Nigeria stands to benefit from when elected into office. The OBJ - Atiku-led administration built or started most of the power-generating entities we have in Nigeria today. The PDP-led administration of Jonathan and Sambo completed the rest.

Healthcare: Tinubu and Obi's records in the provision of healthcare are also very poor. Under Obi, Anambra State Government employed medical doctors were on strike for 13 months as a result of his refusal pay the right salary, poor conditions of service, and lack of proper working equipment, Nigeria cannot afford such tragedy. Lagos under Tinubu had healthcare centers that are known for delivering the worst healthcare services. The claim that Tinubu met one functional ambulance as Governor is also false.

Atiku even as a private citizen is actively involved in the provision of healthcare for Nigerians beyond what he did while serving as vice president between 1999-2007. Long after leaving office, Atiku Abubakar went into partnership with the Saudi German Hospital to establish a 100-bed hospital and referral center in Abuja among many other interventions in the health sector.

Security: We cant talk about the 2023 presidential elections without talking about who among the candidates has the experience to tackle our current security challenges. It is a fact that the Obasanjo-Atiku era is the most peaceful period since our country transitioned to democracy.

It was a period when the term bandits was alien to our dictionary. As the number two man in that government, Atiku has the requisite skills and experience to rejig our current security system like they did between 1999 to 2007. Obi, on the other hand, lacks experience in security matters which explains why the Ezu River tragedy where hundreds of people were murdered under his watch is still a mystery. Tinubu on the other hand lacks the energy needed for a robust engagement and monitoring that our collapsing security architecture requires.

Preparedness: Its unfortunate that Tinubu the "Emi Lokan" coroner appears totally confused and directionless after being handed his party ticket. To date, he does not have a real policy document, the entire APC manifesto of 2015 he helped prepare which they disowned and failed to implement has suddenly formed the foundation of the documents they released recently. Tinubu also fumbled when it came to naming a running mate resorting to placeholders, even when he finally found one it was a one-sided Muslim Muslim aggregation that is currently tearing the nation apart at a time religious sensitivity is at an all-time high. A man who does not know how to comport himself when the National Anthem of his country is being recited or played is not ready to lead.

Peter Obi towers above Tinubu when it comes to his level of preparedness even though he also employed the services of placeholders for running mate, his inexperience in handling responsibilities at the national level is a minus. Like Tinubu, Obi has no real policy document that tells Nigerians what he plans to do if they vote for him. Beyond mad men's tales and vomiting crammed statistics most of which are wrong, the LP presidential candidate does not appear ready to lead a complex nation like Nigeria.

Atiku and the PDP on the other hand appear to be the most prepared candidate and political party. Atiku is the only candidate that wrote and released his policy document with a clear blueprint of what he intends to do when elected into office. He named his running mate on schedule, inaugurated his multi-ethnic and multi-religious campaign council, and flagged off his campaign council right on time as directed by INEC.

Conclusion
Those who have mismanaged our country are always happy to see us disunited when it comes to the choice of a presidential candidate because as long as we are divided we will always enthrone our oppressors. Nigeria does not need a President that will learn on the job, Nigeria does not need a rookie to experiment or complicate an already messed up system, what Nigeria needs is an Experienced Atiku Abubakar to reset our country, get it working again and return her to the path of greatness.

May God Help Us to Help Ourselves This Saturday!!!!

God Bless Nigeria!!!

Politics / Yakubu Dogara Blast Tinubu Says Emilokan Is Heresy by ochejoseph(m): 4:18pm On Feb 22, 2023
The former speaker of the House of Representatives Rt. Hon Yakubu Dogara has described TInubu's "Emilokan" as heresy. In a series of tweets released by on his official Twitter handle he wrote:

"As we go to the polls remember that we can not put a set of people, half addicted to rage and the other half addicted to delirium, into leadership and still hope that we can rise above the contradictions which define their very nature; for they will only reproduce themselves.

Note also that Democracy anywhere does not give permission to its citizens to be their worst selves. A people who knowingly suborn the gormless into leadership positions have wittingly or unwittingly resolved never to rise. Come on Nigeria, we are better than this!

Doing things for others and demanding that they pay you back amounts to doing the right things for the wrong reasons- the very definition of heresy. Is it said that, "the most truly generous persons are those who give silently without hope of praise or reward." #emilokanisheresy

The former Speaker of the House of Representatives, has previously asked Christians in Nigeria not to waste their votes by voting for the Muslim/Muslim presidential ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2023 election.

Widely expected to be elected as the country's next President this saturday, Nigeria's former Vice President from 1999- 2007 H.E Atiku Abubakar just addressed Nigerians via Video broadcast where he charged Nigerians to recover the country by voting massively for PDP at all levels.

Atiku a former vice president is credited with introducing much of the reforms that characterized the Obasanjo administration including the invitation of technocrats which ensured the seamless introduction of GSM phone technology in 2001 and the exit of Nigeria from the Paris Club list of debtors with the redemption of the final US$1.487 billion, par bonds between November and December 2006.

Politics / What Atiku’s Election As President Means For Sports In Nigeria – Dr Oche Otorkpa by ochejoseph(m): 12:20pm On Feb 17, 2023
What Atiku’s election as president means for sports in Nigeria – Dr Oche Otorkpa

The Deputy Director, Online Media for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Campaign Council, Dr. Oche Otorkpa (FRSPH–UK) has said that PDP’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar is the best choice Nigerians will make in the February 25th general election because Atiku will bring more development and unify the country including using sports.

According to him, Nigeria’s population is largely made up of youths between the ages of 18 and 35 and as such, the country needs a leader like Atiku who understands young people and has the ability to harness the energy in them through sports for greater development of the country.

Dr. Otorkpa said this in a statement to newsmen on Friday.

According to the Deputy Director, Atiku is a sports enthusiast whose manifesto also clearly contains concrete plans to revive the country’s sports sector which has been in failed state for decades.

He said with the support of his running mate, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa who is also a sports enthusiast, Atiku’s government, if elected, would reset the fortunes of the sector and “rekindle the hopes and aspirations of our people.”

His statement reads thus:

Nigerians agree that sports especially football is a major unifying factor in the country. When it comes to sports, Ahmed Musa, Nwankwo Kanu, and Rashidi Yekini belong to all irrespective of tribe, religion, or the part of the country they come from. The passion for sports here is deep and the commitment is total.

Young people constitute the bulk of sports enthusiasts on the planet and available data indicates that Nigeria has the largest population of youth globally, with a median age of 18.1 years. In Nigeria, about 70% of our population falls under the age of 30, and 42% are under the age of 15. The size and youthfulness of our population should naturally give us an edge in the global sporting arena.

However, despite the sea of talented young lads in our country and the inextinguishable passion of our people for sports, our nation continues to trail behind in major sporting events both on the African continent and the international scene.

Apart from serving as a unifying factor, sports in Nigeria is a huge goldmine whose economic potential has remained untapped by businesses and investors. Nigeria needs a leader who understands young people, a leader with good business acumen, and the ability to harness the energy of young people using sports as a tool to significantly boost government revenues and concurrently serve as a catalyst for reviving our dying economy.

The 2023 Presidential election offers our country and its young people the opportunity to elect such a leader, one with the capacity to RESET the fortunes of sports in our country and rekindle the hopes and aspirations of our people.

That leader is His Excellency Alhaji Atiku Abubakar the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party. Lovers of the English Premier League as well as sports enthusiasts in Nigeria describe him as the undisputable champion of sports development in our country. When it comes to sports and youth development, Atiku towers above all other presidential candidates with none coming close.

A passionate Arsenal fan and follower of both local and major football leagues around the world, Atiku has never hidden his passion for the development of sports in Nigeria. As Vice President of Nigeria from 1999-2007, Atiku and President Obasanjo superintended over some of Nigeria's greatest moments in sports development. During that period they built the Abuja National Stadium, the Games Village, as well as the neighboring infrastructures which hosted the All Africa Games in October of 2003. The main structures used for that event are still being used today to host major sporting and non-sporting events in Nigeria.

Under the PDP Led administration of Obasanjo and Atiku, sports associations and federations no matter how small were rejigged while facilities at major stadiums in the country were also upgraded which enabled Nigeria and Ghana to jointly host the African Cup Of Nations (AFCON) in the year 2000, exactly twenty years after the nation first hosted the 12th edition of the prestigious African football competition in 1980.

Beyond the passion for sports, electing H.E Atiku Abubakar and Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa a first-class medical doctor and a star table tennis player will redefine sports as we know it in Nigeria because at the core of Atiku’s policy document is a national plan that seats well with sports in view of the fact that it seeks to restore Nigeria’s unity through equality, social justice, and cooperation, among various people which epitomizes what sports and sporting events stand for.

This Presidential election is a battle between a PDP candidate who fully understands a league table and the intricacies of sports and a confused APC candidate who dances reggae when the national anthem of his country is being played. May God Help Us To Help Ourselves on the 25th of February, 2023.

After what happened today in Gboko any doubt about the acceptance of H.E Atiku and Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa across Benue State should be completely erased.

The massive reception accorded the unifier at the Palace of the Tor Tiv, a home coming for our Presidential candidate is a clear indication that the good people of Benue state know the difference between a pretender and performer.

This is just a royal visitation, not the rally. Benue is Atiku 100% and a vote for H.E Atiku and Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa is a vote for two good men who mean well for our people.

As one we can get it done!!!

Politics / Atiku To Nigerians: Don’t Allow Tinubu Turn Nigeria To His Personal Property by ochejoseph(m): 6:04pm On Feb 05, 2023
Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Waziri Atiku Abubakar, says the Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, plans to acquire Federal Government properties across the country if he becomes President.

Atiku’s Special Assistant on Public Communication, Phrank Shaibu, said this in a statement while reacting to Tinubu’s claim that Atiku sold off government properties and diverted the proceeds.

Shaibu stated that Lagos State where Tinubu has been ruling directly and indirectly since 1999 has become his personal property.

He noted that Tinubu in an interview with The News Magazine some 10 years ago, said he returned to Nigeria after the June 12 struggle with nothing.

Tinubu stated that “They dispossessed me of the house, as well as my office on Saka Tinubu Street. My vehicles and everything else I owned. They claimed they found bombs in it and dispossessed me of it. I was totally cleaned out. I had only five shirts, £2000 pounds and jackets”.

He said Tinubu became the first governor in history to sign an obnoxious pension law that guaranteed lifetime benefits for himself and his family.

The obnoxious pension law provides that a former governor of Lagos gets a residential house at any location of his choice in Lagos State and one residential house in the Federal Capital Territory for the governor on two consecutive terms.

Tinubu’s law also stated that he will get six brand new cars every three years, 100 per cent of the basic salary of the serving governor, free health care for himself and members of his family; furniture allowance, which is 300 percent of their annual basic salary house maintenance allowance, which is 10 per cent of basic salary utility allowance, which is 20 percent of the salary and car maintenance allowance, which is 30 per cent of the annual basic salary.

Other benefits include entertainment allowance, which is 10 percent of the basic salary and a personal assistant, who will earn 25 percent of the governor’s annual basic salary. Even former Presidents of Nigeria do not enjoy such largesse.

This is the state-sanctioned profligacy that Tinubu entrenched as a former governor.

He added, “Tinubu’s residence at 26 Bourdillon Road, Ikoyi was initially falsely presented as the Guest House of an oil company. Later, he purportedly bought and used public funds to rebuild and renovate it. The Lagos State Government bought the property and paid an undisclosed sum to him and thereafter gave the property back to him under the bogus Pension Bill he signed into law shortly before he left office in 2007.

The annex of the Lagos State Guest House in Asokoro, Abuja was bought by the State Government in 2006 for N450 million, purportedly to protect the main house from security breach.”

Shaibu alleged that the tollgates along the Lekki-Epe Expressway, the Alpha Beta Consulting which has exclusive rights to collect taxes on behalf of the Lagos State Government as well as many other revenue generating firms in Lagos are under the control of Tinubu.

Shaibu stated, “If Tinubu becomes President, he will take ownership of the federal secretariat, Ikoyi; the Tafawa Balewa Square and every other federal property in Ikoyi to the detriment of Nigeria.

“Already, his wife is a senator, his daughter is market woman leader. His sister-in-law is a commissioner; his son enjoys advertisement monopoly in Lagos. His godson, MC Oluomo. If Tinubu takes over as President, the entire country will become the property of his family. Nigerians will become second class citizens in their own country,” he added.

“The World Bank says 2 out of every 3 Lagosians live in a slum. But how can Lagos tackle its housing deficit? In just four years, Lateef Jakande built over 30,000 housing units. Jakande lived in Ilupeju all his life. Can the same be said of the self acclaimed architect of modern Lagos?” he asked.

Politics / Atiku Loves The Masses, Hates Influence Of Bullion Van On Elections - Shaibu by ochejoseph(m): 8:11am On Feb 04, 2023
By Phrank Shaibu

The remarks credited to the Governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Nasir el-Rufai concerning the crisis arising from the currency scarcity across the country comes across as a low point in the profile of the self-acclaimed Accidental Civil Servant governor.

At a point when the masses of Nigeria are groaning under the weight of the currency crunch, it remains inglorious that the Kaduna State governor would, rather than sympathize with the masses, prefer to go on political entanglement over the issue. For the avoidance of doubt, the currency crisis (and indeed all other crises), as it stands today, is a mess created by the APC and it will be imprudent of the Kaduna State governor or anyone else to associate the PDP or its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar with the crisis. Ads by It is curious why Governor el-Rufai and other elements of his ilk in the APC had to wait this long before they found it contingent to speak in disapproval of policies initiated by their own political party. Perhaps, it is because for them, self-interest in an election season is more important than public interest.

As a matter of fact, the lingering fuel scarcity and, indeed, the currency crisis of which el-Rufai so bitterly complained about did not just start today. In major cities across the country, Nigerians have been contending with the problem of fuel scarcity for almost two years in some places like the Federal Capital Territory, while el-Rufai and others crying foul in the APC turned blind eyes to the plight of Nigerians. On the contrary, Atiku Abubakar and the PDP have persistently brought the attention of the country to the sufferings of Nigerians by the APC administration in the past almost eight years.
Nigerians surely know better who loves them more between Atiku who has remained on the side of the masses and the presidential candidate of the APC, Bola Tinubu who has never come out in defense of the people against the hardship that the APC has subjected the country to since it took power in 2015.

If Mallam el-Rufai is interested in knowing who hates the people of Nigeria, he should look in the direction of his political master who drove two bullion vans into his residence on the eve of election day in 2019. The APC and their presidential candidate are crying foul to the currency change policy because they fear the policy will frustrate their plan to take advantage of the impoverishment of Nigerians by the APC through vote buying, a situation that has already commenced, in the 2023 election. Of course, the ordinary masses of Nigeria can not stand up to the evil plans of the APC, but that is where Atiku comes in as the bulwark of anti-democratic forces. Atiku loves the people of Nigeria, and he has sufficiently demonstrated his love even at times when it was risky to do so. What Atiku hates, on the other hand, are politicians whose only intention is to compromise the electoral process through monetary inducement.

We know those politicians who keep stacks of monies at home and in bullion vans to buy votes. They are the ones who, the once upright Mallam el-Rufai comes to the open to defend, and they are the ones who are afraid of the currency change policy.

Politics / Only Nigerians Who Want Tinubu As President Will Vote For Obi Or LP - Dr. Oche by ochejoseph(m): 10:09am On Jan 30, 2023
A well-known tribal "warlord" on Twitter was last week quoted as saying "only Nigerians tired of bad governance will vote LP". Unfortunately, that statement was an attempt by that pseudo-nationalist to manipulate patriotic Nigerians into voting for a tribal candidate who stands no chance whatsoever in the 2023 Presidential election apart from acting as a spoiler hellbent on enhancing the fortunes of our oppressors.

The 2023 Presidential election must not be reduced to an ethnicity contest or a circus run by an emergency church attendee trying to manipulate churchgoers into thinking he has an overnight solution that could transform Nigeria into Dubai overnight. A magic wand he failed to use as Governor of Anambra state for 8 years where public hospitals and universities were closed for over a year and many people died.

Wisdom and foolishness are not the same. According to the Institute Of Security Studies, there have been more than 40 peaceful (post-election) leadership changes on the African continent since 1990. But only in 16 cases that involved 13 countries has the opposition triumphed. This clearly tells us that opposition wins on the African continent don't come cheap.

The padded results of the 2019 presidential elections indicated a difference of 3,928, 869 between the APC and the PDP. This figure included trees and ghosts counted by the APC and included in the final results. The actual figure was 1,615,302 votes in favor of the PDP.

The 2023 Presidential election is expected to be different with the introduction of the BVAS and increased voter awareness. The number of votes and margin of a win by any candidate is expected to be smaller and tighter.

There are 21 APC governors trying to shove Tinubu down our throats, this excludes the sea of other federal and state appointees hellbent of ensuring that the current disasters in government are sustained.

At the Republican State Convention in Springfield, Illinois on the 16th of June, 1858, Abraham Lincoln paraphrased Matthew 12:25, when he spoke of a house divided:

And Jesus knew their [the Pharisees'] thoughts, and said unto them, "Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house.

To Judge APC for the calamity they brought upon us is up to God, but to ensure they never win the 2023 Presidential elections is a duty that requires the efforts of all patriotic Nigerians with the ability to see beyond their noses, tribes, or religion.

Nigeria's best chance of getting rid of the current cankerworms in government is to identify and queue behind the strongest opposition party and a candidate with the capacity to wrestle power from our oppressors. Dividing our votes among parties we know cannot win will only enthrone our oppressors.

As of today, that party is PDP with H.E. Atiku Abubakar as its Presidential candidate and Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa as his running mate. A vote for LP or Peter Obi is an indirect vote for APC and Tinubu the Bulaba coroner, a mistake that comes with tragic consequences.

May God Help Us to Help Ourselves On the 25th of February 2023.

Watch Full Video Above.

Always known for taking sides with the people, the Presidential Candidate of People's Democratic Party, H.E Atiku Abubakar has released a video on his position on the January 31st deadline of the ongoing currency redesign program of the CBN.

In a video he released, Atiku Abubakar called for a slight extension of the monetary conversation policy to ease the burden of the policy on ordinary Nigerians especially the unbanked population in the rural areas.

Reports from commercial banks indicates that as at yesterday, virtually all banks were still paying the old naira notes to customers making withdrawal over the counter. New notes are only available at the ATMs where a daily withdrawal limit of 20,000 exists.

Most, traders including transporters have stopped collecting the old notes triggering crisis in market places and restaurants across country.

Atiku understands the economy, he understands our people, and understands how businesses work. With Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa as his running mate they are poised to make our currency strong again and help our economy grow.

A vote for H.E Atiku Abubakar and Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa is a vote for two good men who mean well for Nigeria.

Politics / Confirmation Of Tinubu's Severe Dementia Means APC Has No Candidate- Dr Otorkpa by ochejoseph(m): 7:27am On Jan 24, 2023
We told the World that that APC has no candidate, because years of using and dealing with hard drugs in the US has taken its toll on him. Now one of their no nonsense directors has confirmed what we have been saying all this time.

Here is How the The People's Gazette Reported it:

"Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, is physically and mentally unfit to govern, Naja’atu Muhammad has disclosed in an explosive interview.

Speaking with DCL Hausa, Ms Muhammad said that the former Lagos governor might be battling severe dementia, which is identified by memory loss and also result in loss of the ability to carry on a conversation and respond to the environment.

“I sat with him for two hours in London; when you talk of green, he will give you an answer of red. He can’t even decipher. He has very serious dementia; I believe he has Alzheimer’s because he cannot even hold a cup of tea,” she said.

Ms Muhammad, a former APC chieftain, recently resigned from her position as director of civil society engagement in the APC Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) on grounds that she could no longer serve national interests in clear conscience if she continues to support Mr Tinubu’s presidential bid.

Ms Muhammad clarified her comments in the interview, confirming the former Lagos governor’s widely known terrible health situation.

She revealed that during a two-hour private meeting in London, Mr Tinubu slept for almost the entirety of the time she was with him.

“Asiwaju that I sat with for two hours, he slept most of the time, it was Bisi Akande that I was really talking to. Most importantly he is not only physically unfit, he is mentally unfit, whether we want it or not, this is the truth,” she said.

She added that while Mr Tinubu’s associates may feel the burden to repay him for the political goodwill he has shown in the past, but not as far as to entrust leadership of Africa’s most populous country in his frail hands.

“But when you talk of the leadership of over two hundred million people, you know that if you remove tribal sentiments, you know that he is incapable; those that will rule are those around him. This is the reality. He is mentally deranged – I said it,” she added.

A spokesperson for Mr Tinubu did not respond to calls and messages seeking comments on Ms Muhammed’s assertions."

Anyone who wishes Nigeria well cannot support Tinubu for President. its pure wickedness to inflict such a calamity on already suffering Nigerians.

H.E Atiku Abubakar and Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa are two good men who mean well for Nigeria and are ready to RESET this country to enable her retake her rightful place among the committee of great Nations.

The Presidential candidate and his running mate were earlier received at the Minna Airport by leaders of the party in the State including Dr. Muazu Babangida Aliyu a former governor of the state, Hon Abdullahi Hussaini MaiBasira the Director Finance of the campaign who hails from the state and Barr Tanko Beji the State Chairman of the party.

The colorful campaign also had a parade horses and camels all arrayed in beautiful attires as party faithful sang victory songs ahead of the presidential election scheduled for February 25th 2023.

Politics / Presidential Election: Straw Poll Favours Atiku-Okowa Ticket by ochejoseph(m): 11:17am On Jan 19, 2023
As Nigerians prepare to elect a new president on February 25, a straw poll has put Atiku Abubakar, the candidate of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, as favourite to win the election ahead of other candidates.

Adamawa State-born Atiku, from the north east, is running with Ifeanyi Okowa, current governor of Delta State on what is known as Atiku-Okowa ticket.

The straw poll conducted by Guardians of Leadership and Democracy, GLD, a pro-democracy group with focus on leadership, good governance, sustainable democracy, innovation and human capital development, put Atiku in clear lead over three other top contenders for the job.

Straw poll, also known as straw ballot, is usually an ad hoc poll carried out to determine the slant of opinion on an issue or popularity of an individual or group of persons within a community.

In modern political communication and marketing, it has become an effective quickfire tool to gauge popularity of issues or suitability of persons for a position.

The group has in the past conducted straw poll (both online and offline) on several national issues and on popularity of categories of Nigerians for certain offices including whether Nigeria should adopt the Parliamentary system of government or continue with the extant Presidential system.

Many respondents to the poll conducted (online and offline) across diverse categories of Nigerians, according to GLD, projected Atiku to win the presidential election.

A press statement issued in Lagos yesterday by GLD Executive Secretary, Dr. Robert Ebelo, said the emergence of Atiku as presidential candidate of the PDP altered earlier projections of the possibility of the next president emerging from the southern part of the country.

The statement explained that most of the respondents from the north picked Atiku over other candidates.

In the North-West geopolitical zone, which comprises the seven states of Sokoto, Zamfara, Kano, Kaduna, Katsina, Kebbi and Jigawa, with a total of 22.67 million registered voters, most of the respondents picked Atiku over others.

However, in the South-south, which is traditionally a PDP stronghold and the zone of Atiku’s running mate, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, the Atiku-Okowa ticket was in clear lead; followed by Peter Obi and his Labour Party.

According to the statement, the 2023 Presidential election contrasts with the norm in the past where the race was always reduced to a two-horse race with one horse being the dominant one, making the contest too easy to call.

Some of the criteria considered by respondents, according to the statement, include ethnicity, fitness, ability to create job and wealth, experience, among other human development indices.

Politics / Atiku's Leadership Of The Economic Management Team: Oby Ezekwesili Lied- Dr Oche by ochejoseph(m): 3:30pm On Jan 18, 2023
Atiku's Leadership Of The Economic Management Team: Oby Ezekwesili Lied - Dr Oche Otorkpa

It was Caesar J. B. Squitti who said that "Human half-truth logic, dates back to Adam and Eve, when he tried to deceive God with a truth, 'we knew we were naked so we hid', leaving God to understand that something was wrong with Adam's logic, because if Adam knew THE TRUTH, he would know that you can't hide from God.

Few days ago, Mrs Oby Ezekwesili failed in an attempt to rewrite history when she joined the league of political hirelings who myopically think that embarrassing H.E Atiku Abubakar with false claims can prevent him from becoming President.

In a tweet posted on her handle, she claimed that Atiku was never the Head of the Economic Management Team as Vice President from 1999-2007. That tweet on its own clearly shows that the woman is either suffering from amnesia or had no idea of what the Nigerian constitution says, if not madam "empirical evidence" would have simply looked at what the constitution says and stop trying to make a fool of herself.

The National Economic Council (NEC) is established by the provisions of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999, as amended; Section 153(1) and Paragraphs 18 & 19 of Part I of the Third Schedule.

For the sake of those she misled with that whimsical tweet, here is what the Nigerian constitution expressly says about economic management in Nigeria:

Part 1 of third Schedule, paragraphs 18 and 19 of 1999 Nigerian Constitution, as amended, states that there shall be National Economic Council which shall comprise the following members –

(a) the Vice-President who shall be the Chairman; the Governor of each State of the Federation; and the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria and this Council shall have power to advise the President concerning the economic affairs of the Federation, and in particular on measures necessary for the coordination of the economic planning efforts or economic programmes of the various Governments of the Federation.

https://statehouse.gov.ng/policy/councils-committees/national-economic-council/

Madam ‘beggar with receipt’ can quietly support her tribal candidate without spewing half truths and manipulated facts. Atiku led the economic management team from 1999 till 2007, that team included the current Director-General of the World Trade Organization Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, who successfully renegotiated and paid off Nigeria’s entire debt with the Paris Club before the current disaster's in government plunged our unborn children into the biggest debt trap in the history of our country with over ₦70 trillion in debts hanging over our necks.

On the leadership of the economic management team, these were the exact words of Atiku:

“I’m not a messiah. I do not promise Eldorado or $1 = N1, but I always ask that we should look at the economic progress we made under my leadership and what I am doing in private business and judge me by those. As VP, I assembled what is arguably the best economic team ever in Nigeria. It was made up of young, world-class professionals, who came home to work. Some of those professionals are now political leaders, governors and world leaders in their own right.” – Atiku Abubakar.

Thanks to those patriotic efforts, men and women like Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Mr. Kekere Ekun, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, Bode Augusto, Ms Ifueko Omoigui and other first class professionals were invited to help grow the Nigerian economy.

Fortunately, many of those in that team are still alive today, and will speak shortly on how Atiku assembled them and the contributions they made for the advancement of the nation's economy.

No amount of mud slinging can stop a man whose time has come, H.E Atiku and Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa represents Nigeria's best chance of coming out of the economic doom it has been thrown into by the directionless APC government.

Casting your vote for Peter Obi like Madam Oby and her cohorts are promoting is tantamount to voting for APC because even Peter himself knows he is not going anywhere in next month's Presidential election.

To whom brain is given, sense is required. May God Help Us to Help Ourselves On the 25th of February 2023.

If you are supporting APC it is time to stop, and conscientiously review your actions, whether some of the things you are defending are defendable.

Aside the drug related crimes for which your "bulabally" candidate has been convicted, the baba does not have the mental capacity to even make a one minute speech, is that the kind of human being, you want to stand before the world and address the United Nations General Assembly?.

First they stole Donald Duke's picture, you guys defended them, secondly they stole another picture from Indonesia, you guys said it was the right thing.

Now that he has "beheaded " Ebuka from his own picture and mounted his helpless self what do you have to say?

You cannot handover the destiny of over 200 million people to such characters. We did it in 2015, and we are still paying for it as a nation.

Lets us galvanize support and vote massively for a party that believes in one Nigeria, a Party that abhors nepotism, a party that is truly Nigerian in every sense.

Support H.E Atiku and Dr. Okowa to help Nigeria Recover!!!!
