Teachers - 30% - How can the student learn when the teacher has not taught?

Students - 20% - What will he do if he reads and don`t understand?

If we have a Vice president that cannot act, Then I think we should do away with the office of the Vice president.

When shall we have a Nigeria where what matter is "what I can do and not where I come from.?".
I have always said that "I don't care where my president comes as long as he is performing well." Even, if his from the moon I don't care. I think Nigerian should develop that attitude. We should strive to make sure that the right person take the job. .

Quota system and Federal Character will not lead us any where but will destroy Nigeria.

Politics / Re: Primate Ayodele’s 2010 Shocker -democracy Will Break Nigeria by ojofu(m): 1:26pm On Dec 27, 2009
Nigeria’s version of Nostradamus, Primate Babatunde Elijah Ayodele, is known for his bulls-eye predictions. So far, about 80 per cent of what he predicted would occur in 2009 have come to pass. These include Nigeria’s qualification for the World Cup by a slim chance as well as the sacking of some state governors courtesy of the courts. He also spoke about President Umaru Yar’Adua’s health challenge among other predictions.

Hmn, why not 100%?, why would God say something and 80% would come to pass?.

Everybody in nigerian knew that we had a slim chance of qualify for the world cup we the draw was made, so I that call that prophecy but just logic
and after that 2007 election, most Nigerian at the Judiciary sack will some state governors so I would say prophecy my ASS.

Instead of asking us to change our hateful, Tribalistic, unkind, boastful and corruption filled way, why would God ask to pray. Will he answer such prayer?. God will just be laughing at us. It is good to pray and have faith but remember faith without work is nothing. All we need to do is to change
from our evil ways and God will start answering our prayer.

Anyone who Does the same thing and expect a different result is simply mad.

If NFF wants to sack Amodu, they should do it now, because after the nation cup it will be too late.
My take on Amodu is that, he is just depending on luck and sometimes players determination to win matches. it is very clear that we are struggling. We either sack Amodu or contimue struggling.

You should give us more history: age, injury, occupation, when is the symptom worse-morning or evenings, sex, other medical history.
From what you have so far, it's likely you have arthritis. Do you have stiffness, pain, and swelling in other parts of your body or joints? Correct diagnosis is important before treatment is recommended.

I am 27 year, no injury, the symptom is worse when working especially when doing stuff like reading, bending down to pick up things, working with computer, infact anything that involve bending my neck. the pain is usually from my neck up to my cervical region. I have stiffness but no swelling. I have already change my pillow and my mattress.
thanks for your help.

I have noticed with dismay that everytime a comment is posted we all get negative replies mostly. I think we should cultivate the habit of thinking positively and not condemning anyone at the slightest possible chance. If we begin to ask ourselves what we have contributed to the progress of this country. I don't mean contributing to ourselves but to others out there. change is a gradual process. I think its a nice move for Government to look into this issue as the result may fall back on them and then changes can be made to avert futher occurrence. Look around you and think of speaking positively about your country. So many comments like dead country, useless country, that's why the white helps on in singing this aloud since we started the song. I urge every nairalander to change from the way we see things and it would speak better of us. THINK POSITIVELY!!!

The only people that can think POSITIVELY of these country are the POLITICIANS, GOVERNMENT OFFICIAL, GOVERNORS, LOCAL GOVERNMENT CHAIRMEN, COUNSELLOR, GOVERNMENT CONTRACTORS AND ANYBODY THAT IS CORRUPT.
How can one think POSITIVELY when you have, no water, no light, no good roads, poverty everywhere, you enrolled for a five years course in the university but graduated after ten years(no bi because you get carryover oh), general insecurity, industries are collapsing, fuel is imported, when we have more than enough,

I Feel like crying cry cry cry cry cry.

Imagine that you are the son of a richman but you are living like the son a poorman, won't you complain. angry angry

THE ONLY THING WE SHOULD REJOICE ABOUT IS THAT THEY DON'T CONTROL THE AIR WE BREATH IN. infact air for dey scarce too.

The easiest job to do in Nigeria today is either to be a Lecturer in the University or to be a Teacher in Government school Because they are not supervised. They do what they like.

If you are lecturer, maybe you go to work by 8am, sign the attendance registrar and if you like, disappear till the following morning.

It is not the fault of the students. The teachers are the products of institutions which someone said are unemployable.

What do you think these teachers will pass on to the children? Garbage in garbage out!

Couple of years ago, my younger sister used to fail her exams in high school. We decided to investigate the reason for her constant failures. As it turned out, every time she went to school, the class teacher would ask them to place their head on the desk and sleep while she (class teacher) went about selling the lollipop, ice cream and all other sundry items she brought to school, and at the end of term, she would set exams for students she had hardly taught anything.

We had to change her school and there was marked improvement in her academic performance.

That's my point, If the students have not learnt then the teacher has not taught.

One of my lecturer will never come to lecture until two weeks to exam then he will give some handout so that you can use it to prepare for the exam, now tell me how can one read and pass his course. With some lecturer, It is cause to ask question in class. The most annoying part is that you cannot complain to anybody because if you do, those lecturer will victimise you.

Why is it that the FG has so much power, trying to control everything, yet they ain't even good at it. The best thing for Nigeria now is to privatize the industry and all they have to do is regulate it. If they privatize it, there would be more control and supervision.

You spoke my mind jare. In my own opinion, i think that the system we are running is not structured properly.
why would only one man (FG) control all the resources we have in this country. if more power is given to the states, maybe would be able to manage our resources better.

Today, if a state should generate power, it would first deliver this power to the national grid for it to be share equally among the federating unit. This is why most state will not generate they own power. Does this encourage investment in that sector?.

This country is structured in way such that all the money we generate is kept in one place, then anybody(mostly gay) that has access to it, can cut it his share from it and distribute the rest.

Them suppose read their books of course (notebooks, textbooks, workbooks and evry, evry). The teacher can teach but not every one will grab, thats just the truth of the matter.

Teacher go only try teach and cannot put that knowledge directly into the pupil's brain, abi. At least I once taught and this is what I do -After teaching and summarizing, I try to evaluate and if 80% of my class population gets it then I forget the rest.

I Agree with but lets not forget that before this Neco and Waec, the entire educational system was shut down because of strike (ASUU, Nut etc) and sometime you go jak well, well but you no understand until someone put you through.
See, I am student, though i have written my final paper. If I tell you what we went through in the hands of teacher, you would prefer staying at home reading than going to school at all.

ONE OF OUR TEACHER ONCE TOLD US THAT THE LECTURE NOTE HE IS USING TO TEACH IN THIS JET AGE WAS PREPARED TWENTY- FIVE YEARS(25) AGO.

@ Ojofu,

It actually gets worse than just adoption. Your kids will soon learn in school social studies at tiny ages, that 'marriage is a union of man and man, or man and woman or woman and woman'. And they will start thinking about this and playing homo-doll house and homo-relationships from kiddy age.

I wrote about all these issues and more, elaborately in the book.

This world is going crazy, Signs of the End time i would say.
