A middle – aged man, simply identified as Samson, has beenreportedly found dead in a hotel room at Ugboroke in Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta state after allegedly taking an overdose of $ex -enhancing drug, Punch reports. Punch learnt that the deceased, married with three kids, was found dead with his manhood standing erect. Sources close to the deceased said the man believed to be in his late 30 s had boasted in a beer parlour of his plan to use $ex – enhancing drug to impress a new girlfriend he had been wooing for three months. Another source , who spoke in confidence , said the deceased had gone for the opening of a drinking bar , where he decided to visit a nearby chalet with his girlfriend.

Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye has reportedly retired as the Head of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Nigeria. Just last year, the church slammed those calling for the 74-year-old to retire as head of RCCG. Pastor Johnson Odesola, Special Assistant to Pastor Adeboye on Administration and Personnel, said at the time that the church’s constitution did not state that anyone above 70 years should not lead the ministry. He said: “Whereas the constitution provided that the deputy and assistant general overseers are appointed to retire at 70 and enjoy their retirement benefits for life, there is no such provision for the general overseer.”

Fire guts Nigerian Breweries Lagos office, Ogun market
Goods said to worth millions of naira were on Sunday destroyed, while more than 300 structures were razed after fire gutted the Lagos State office of the Nigerian Breweries Plc, and the Kara Cattle Market in Ogun State.

The brewery fire, which occurred in the Costain, Iganmu area of Lagos, occurred around 4am and destroyed some sections of the facility.
PUNCH Metro gathered that a large number of crates, containing empty and filled bottles of drinks, as well as two containers, were engulfed in flames.

Although the main fire had been brought under control, emergency officials were still battling with pockets of fire on the company’s premises as of 5pm when this report was filed.
