Nairaland / General / Re: Gays In Nigeria by OkraSoup1: 6:51pm On Jun 24, 2009
That's the funniest thing ever.
There have to be gay people in Nigeria. In fact, I remember a long time ago reading articles about the emerging gay scene in Nigeria.
Then again I haven't lived there for about 20 years so I don't know.
Why do you ask?

Fashion / Re: Victoria Beckham Spends £1.5m On Birkin Bags by OkraSoup1: 2:35am On Jun 23, 2009
I'm trying to figure out if the leather those bags are made from come from super cows as in the leather regenerates when the bag gets old. If you took a knife to that bag would it not tear.
Absolute nonsense those purses are. Some of them are alright but the prices are outrageous.
Romance / Re: What Can I Do To Get The Heart Of My Babe Back? by OkraSoup1: 12:22am On Jun 23, 2009

Romance / Re: Which Of Them Should I Marry by OkraSoup1: 12:18am On Jun 23, 2009
Wait, your post is confusing. You had a girl, then met another girl in june then started an affair with a girl in your office and now the office girl and the girl you cheated on your ex with want you to choose?
---
Clearly you're not in a position to pick one and get married.
Nairaland / General / Re: Your Worst Nightmare by OkraSoup1: 12:04am On Jun 23, 2009
As a kid I used to always have these dreams where I'd fall into a body of water. As I'm sinking I notice that I'm eerily comfortable in the water and also that I can breathe in the water. I usually fall through the body of water into a space with no water. As in I look up and I can see the water above me but there's no water at the bottom where I've landed.
One time there were all these creatures that looked liked really large worms but with human heads calling out to me, asking me to save them, that they needed my help. What was scary was how familiar they seemed to me but I didn't know them so I'd just stand there confused and concerned at the same time.
Always had a lot of water dreams with characters coming to me or offering me things or saving me. One time I dreamt I was puking mermaids.
Nairaland / General / Hello by OkraSoup1: 11:41pm On Jun 22, 2009
Hello there,
I just joined the board today and figured I should say hi.
I've lurked here off and on but don't really know anyone or how to go about introducing myself.
Some basics:
I live in Bowie Maryland right now.
Planning on going to Nigeria for the first time since 1998 in about two weeks. I'll be in Lagos for a few months. I don't really know anyone there other than my mum but I'm so looking forward to it. I miss Nigeria and need to detox from the hell of America for a while.
I love Okra soup
Looking to enjoy myself and hopefully make some friends through the board as I realize I barely know any Nigerians.
Okay , that's it for now. grin
Romance / Re: Is It Possible To Be In Love Without Money? by OkraSoup1: 11:36pm On Jun 22, 2009
Of course it's possible to be in love without money.
Problems only come up when party a and party b have different definitions for love ,
Oh , and if party c, d, e, f, g come along for the ride unannounced. LOL.
