Politics / Re: Buhari Is Using Economic Recession To Punish Nigerians – Fayose by OLADD: 9:27pm On Dec 04, 2016 |
I don't know how Nigerians expect someone who did not show simple remorse for the death of Corpers and other Nigerians in the aftermath of 2011 elections to feel their pain for 'ordinary hunger'. A conscientious and humane leader will strive to improve the living conditions of the citizens rather than complicate it. |

Though the ex-president hasn't told us the reason for his decision to stay away, I nonetheless think that's a smart and sensible move. Don't ever dine with serpents and chameleons. Simple. 193 Likes 8 Shares |

yarimo: Buhari and EFCC aren't God, so stop threatening Fayose and let the future take care of that. The person that condemned Obasanjo to death in 1997 is no more but the Ota man is still hale and healthy today. |

HtwoOw: But your satanic party (APC) can beg somebody like Orji Kalu, a man under EFCC prosecution to join its fold? I think you're sick. Besides, Fayose is not a scammer and deceiver. He won't fit into APC conmen structure. |
Politics / Re: N30b Loan: Presidency Blasts Sanusi by OLADD: 11:09am On Dec 04, 2016 |
Though I don't usually take Sanusi serious having been confirmed as a serial alarmist, the APC and Buhari must pay for taking the Emir's words on the so-called $20b 'missing NNPC money" hook, line and sinker, without confirming its veracity, and using same to rubbish Jonathan. People in this government are just shameless. |
Politics / Re: Recession Worsens On Niger Delta Crisis, Despite Agric Rebounds - Thisdaylive by OLADD: 6:39am On Nov 22, 2016 |
SUMMARY: 1. Contrary to the widely held belief, Niger Delta crisis is not the main contributory factor to the nation's recession since the oil sector only constitutes less than 15% of the GDP. The president and VP are wrong to always premise the economic woes on plummeting oil revenue. 2. Lopsided foreign exchange policy is substantially responsible for the lull in productive activities in the manufacturing, agriculture and other sectors of the economy which constitute the remaining 85% of the country's GDP. In other words, Buhari's economic policies are the main reasons for the recession. 3. Even if hostility in Niger Delta ceases and global oil price rebounds, it doesn't guaranty our speedy recovery from recession since our GDP growth is not mainly galvanised by oil revenue inflow. 13 Likes |
Politics / Re: Goodluck Jonathan Celebrates His 59th Birthday Today by OLADD: 6:54am On Nov 20, 2016 |
Suurulere: Son of Lucifer, can you just shut it up? Always twisting facts to whip up sentiments. Jonathan never said stealing is not corruption in the manner you and other mischievous elements are brandishing it and at no time did Okonjo Iweala ever accuse him of lacking the will to save. She was ostensibly referring to the governors led by Ameachi and Fashola who dragged the ex president to the Suprrme court for not sharing the ECA fund. So stop lying and be real for once. You better concentrate your venom on Buhari who claimed Abacha was not corrupt but celebrates recovery of his loot from Switzerland and other places. Lest I forget, happy and glorious birthday to Goodluck Ebele Jonathan the architect of modern day democracy in Nigeria. 53 Likes 4 Shares |
Politics / Re: Chibok Girls Release: Presidency Rejects Claim FG Paid $21m Ransom by OLADD: 9:09am On Nov 13, 2016 |
Here they go again! Can Shehu Garba tell the world why Boko Haram will choose to release 21 Chibok Girls without any ransom, yet continues to kill other Nigerians in droves via suicide bombing? Can he also tell us if the lives of Chibok girls are now important than those of Colonel Alli, 38 missing soldiers and other Nigerians murdered in cold blood by Boko haram? For your information, stopping Boko haram from holding territory in any part of the country is never a mean feat, no militia has the power to continually occupy any territory without eventually succumbing to the superior firepower of Nigerian Military. Boko haram held sway and hoisted their flags before 2015 elections because of northern complicity including statements made by Buhari and other leaders who tagged the fight against the sect as a fight against the north. At a time during Jonathan's reign, the north was ready to wage a civil war to stop military presence in the north. They only began to realise their mistakes after power shifted in 2015 but Boko haram continues its deadly activities. Until this govt tell Nigerians the whole truth about Chibok girls abduction and release, they would never experience peace. 2 Likes |
Politics / Re: President Muhd Buhari- Donald Trump Is Much Like Me by OLADD: 7:27am On Nov 13, 2016 |
But every fear expressed in the "hate speech" has manifested in Buhari's 15-month reign. They said he's a bigot and sectional leader; he has proved to be one. He was accused of been sympathetic to Boko haram, no single Boko haram leader arrested in the last one year has been prosecuted .They said he's not intellectually and economically sound; he has plunged the country into recession under one year in office. There's none of the issues raised in the so called hate speech that hasn't come to pass, so who's now vindicated? 1 Like |
Literature / Re: Your Problem Is Ignorance : Soyinka Hits Back At Internet Trolls by OLADD: 7:10am On Nov 13, 2016 |
Soyinka, a man who often places himself on a pedestal he surely doesn't belong. This was the same man that threatened hell if MKO Abiola ever died in detention. Indeed, Abiola died in gaol but our professor couldn't do jack. He simply vanished into obscurity thereafter. Gosh! 99 Likes 9 Shares |
Politics / Re: RIVERS RE-RUN: We’ll Match Wike Threat For Threat, Amaechi Vows by OLADD: 6:35am On Nov 13, 2016 |
Politicians often think all Nigerians suffer from memory loss. This shameless minister claimed he didn't engage in physical struggle with anybody during his tenure as governor in Rivers but he invaded the State House of Assembly in a commando style causing commotion and preventing lawmakers from performing their legislative functions. Amaechi is turning Rivers into theater of war just because of election while Buhari is pretending as if nothing is amiss. Let's pray APC does not pull Nigeria down because of power. 45 Likes 2 Shares |

The moment INEC acceded to the request of National Assembly and promptly fixed the reruns for Dec 10, my instinct told me something was in the offing. Without any doubt, APC in connivance with INEC massively rigged Edo gubernatorial election. The delay all this while was to perfect the rigging of Rivers elections. Nigeria needs divine intervention from APC darkness. 19 Likes |

WORDWORLD: Is it not curious that the same USA has been hobnobbing with a particular section of this country while neglecting others in the last two months? I am not a tribal jingoist (and would never be one) but the handwriting of their evil machinations is just too bold for those who choose to see. Nigeria needs prayers. |

Blue3k: Don't be deceived. This govt has been fooling Nigerians with the tale of negotiations There is every reason to believe that officials of this govt know one or two things about Chibok conspiracy and have been trying as much as possible to convince Nigerians about its authenticity. No negotiation is going on with Boko haram. Period. |

onatisi: So Buhari's govt has been busy "negotiating" with a faction that holds the Chibok girls (in conjunction with Swiss govt) while the other faction continues to kill people at will? Don't believe those craps my friend. |

WORDWORLD: Well said. Honestly, I can't comprehend why people should go to such extremities all in the name power, money and fame. I don't understand why some Nigerians should waste the lives of fellow citizens for the sake of political economic and personal aggrandisement. Where is Abacha? Where is Mobutu Sesesoko? Where is Idi Amin of Uganda? Where is Solomon of the biblical days? Vanity upon vanity. All is vanity. |

obo389: Thank you for this post. The fact that our gallant military men and women have been risking their lives (with many dying in the process) yet, can't find just one of the Chibok girls in Sambissa and environ clearly attests to the mystery of the abduction. How can regiments of soldiers comb a mapped area for more than 2 years, releasing many hostages but couldn't locate 217 humans? Think about it. 2 Likes |

timeman: This suggests you did not read through the topic before lunching into your pool of bashings. Chibok was a grand conspiracy to tarnish the image of the last administration but it doesn't take anything away from the fact that it was a script carefully orchestrated by powerful northern oligarchs who wanted power at all cost using some innocent girls. The unfolding dramas (stage managed escapes, negotiations and release) after April 14, 2014 were meant to give substance to the scam. The organisers would do anything possible to cover the plot. 3 Likes |
