Education / “We Are Not Resuming” – Adekunle Ajasin University Lecturers Dare Management by Olajumokeibk(f): 11:57pm On Nov 21, 2013
Following the statement
issued on Wednesday by
the management of
Adekunle Ajasin University,
Akungba-Akoko [AAUA], in
Ondo State, ordering
students and lecturers to
resume on November 25,
the Academic Staff Union
of Universities [ASSU] of
the institution, today
dissociated itself from the
purported resumption.
It would be recalled that
the Authorities of the
institution, through its
Registrar, R.B Olotu said
the AAUA has pulled out of
the ongoing ASUU strike,
adding that students are
expected to resume for
the second term next
Monday.
But in a statement issued
by the state chairman of
AAUA’s ASUU, Dr. Busuyi
Mekusi, he insisted that his
members were still part of
the ongoing national
strike.
He urged ASUU members
to disregard the circular
calling for resumption,
stressing that the
University Chapter of ASUU
was in support of the
action of its national body.
The statement reads, “We,
the executives of ASUU,
AAUA chapter, wish to
dissociate ourselves from
the purported resumption
of academic activities in
the university, as its
members are still part of
the ongoing national
strike by the Union.
“Members should
therefore, disregard any
pullout to abandon the
struggle, and be steadfast
until the present position
is reviewed by NEC. The
Union also wants to make
it abundantly clear that it
would resist every
tyrannical propensity to
intimidate and harass its
members”.

Ok, let's assume the population of men in Nigeria is 70 million. 1 out of 10 is 7 million in this case. My dear, you can see that your man is not even a rare breed. We have 7 million of them out there. Enough to service the marriage industry. Therefore, you have nothing special in your hands.

And u think u re right ? I bet u don't understand one thing

Let me go straight to the points;
Cut down the heating and water usage as much as possible.
If you pour hot water into a bottle and wrap it up in a towel, it stays warm for a very long time.
Don't just throw away the water even if the water gets cold, Instead, use it to brush your teeth, wash your face and to do the laundry.
Don't use the water by having it run from the faucet, pour it in a bucket to use.
Instead of using the washer, hand washing saves on water and electricity.
Ah... Don't use the electric kettle to boil the water, boil it on the stove top.
Don't throw away the used water, but use it to flush Urine down the toilet.
Always unplug any electronics that aren't in use.
Electric kettles and Electric blankets, anything that gives off heat uses lots of electricity, resulting in high bills. Rice Cookers are only used to make rice but not to keep the rice warm.
Reduce the use of a boiler to heat the air, keep your coat on to keep warm.
Search the house to make sure that there is no drafty air blowing into the house.
Blocking those drafty spots will also be of huge help. So warm.
Keep good ventilation and fresh air as it is good for air to be in its natural state when sweaty.

If men are this caring and cherished by women, then why the usual fuss from 99.1% of Naija gurls?
Myster Sage, I quote U. Men like my man are damn 1 out of 10 and it takes a good, humble and submissive woman to keep one.

I am a student of Adekunle Ajasin University Akungba-Akoko and I got the SMS Alert earlier today that all students are to resume on the 25th of November 2013 and lectures are to start a week after. Intially, the school's Vice-Chancellor had earlier planned to pull out of the strike but due to some internal problems, he decided to shift it to this date and I am sure all other students will have received this message. I think its a good developement on the student's part because I am tired of sitting at home aimlessly and getting fatter grin. Its time to continue the struggle of pursuing my goal.
