It is true. Thats the hidden truth FG didn't reveal about the program. Once u be on the federal payroll under the N-POWER program u may not be able to get another federal appointment because it would show you having two federal appointments. But if your connection is very powerful, you can land another federal appointment and bone N-POWER

Schlumberger hardly bring out advertisement for specific roles. So the only technique to getting an invite is by applying for a role per time then keeping updating ur cv frequently on that particular role. Because whenever an opening shows up for that role schlumberger goes into the talent pool and review the most recently submitted applications and screen for invite. I got this idea from someone who got a job with the coy but left for chevron after two months

Please find out very well from your friend because i have got people in Dubai working but i have never heard of factory job with such as attractive salary. scam of the highest order. once you didn't school in the UK nor have any online certificate affiliated with any UK school or college whatsoever. u may not be able to work over there. it's very rare to see a Nigerian with his/her Nigerian certificate 'alone' getting a secured white collar job in the UK. please be wise

guys. m seeing this payment from another perspective. FG may want to even use some criteria for the payment. such as maximum age not more 24years, not more than two years of completion of NYSC and so on..... just to reduce the number of youth that will indeed benefit. please don't be surprised if such yardstick is used. that's when we will know FG is not different from all these so called companies in terms of criteria for eligibility.

I will try to be there. The person who told me actually has someone working at their ilorin branch so when I applied I was thinking I would get called for test interview in ilorin.

I really like this thread. oil and gas jobs in Nigeria are more of connections and man-know-man. however professional certificates coupled with one's degree can also help. idpe in lagos and mudschool in ph can help if one can afford the training, though very expensive. some online trainings like OSHA can help too esp if one is eyeing offshore jobs. one can gain the basic understanding about rig operations.

A friend of my brother actually got his job at Schlumberger by gate crashing. Although he had to go through a tedious process of sending repeated emails trying to convince some senior recruiting or HR manager, am not sure which one again, but he eventually got the job. May I also add that he did really well in their recruitment exam & process.
