The Osu/Ohu system is still strong in Igboland and has not been abolished.  While I am very much against it, if you marry this person with or without your parents wishes you will be condeming your children and their children to the same fate. Unless it dies a natural death by then.

There is no comparison between Jenifer Hudson and the so called Genevieve. Remember that the last stages of American idol is not about talent, it is who the public like and vote for so Jenifer did not make it. But she has an amazing voice and her acting in the Dreamgirls was impeccable.


I have not seen anything anyway near to Jennifer's acting in any Nigerian actor male or female. In addition to Nigerian films lacking depth, substance and being unnecessarily violent, the actors (male & female) do not know how to act. It is as simple as that.

I wish her luck in Holllywood but please don't insult Jennifer Hudson's acting by comparing her with ANY Nigerian actreess. There is just no comparison.

Whatever Bush's record or unpopularity, he is still the President of the most powerful country in the world. Yar'adua or whatever you call him must be very disappointed that Bush refused to meet him. If he did this would have been giving legitimacy to the non-election that took place in Nigeria.

Talking about role models, gross misconduct, indiscipline and outright violation. The film industry should get the log out of their backsides. They should talk - who bans or discplines them about the trash they produce. Do the films have to be so violent and do they have to promote money rituals. What are they teaching the youths?
