Good points logophilia.

Funny enough Uk interview questions are so predictable and repetitive. They asked my cousin questions about accommodation, transport and post code as far back as 2014 (I think that was the year they started interviewing students).

I remember doing a mock interview on the phone for him way back then. It is well.

@ justwise..No she lives in London...please how do i rectify this mistake?please help

Someone already told you how to rectify the mistake. I understand you could be panicking cos this is your first time but you honestly have nothing to worry about.

If I were in your shoes, I would not change it IF (1) my sister stays in London legally (2) I would be arriving Uk at least a week before my program starts. If these conditions are met, see my answer below.

Interviewer; where would you stay while schooling?

Me: I would stay in London with my sister for the weekend I arrive England while I view houses I already looked up online in Sunderland. I should get my own apartment within 3 days of arriving England. Let the interviewer know you have seen some online but you want to inspect them physically before you make payment. Emphasis on staying for a while and would get your apartment soon.

There is no right or wrong answer for most questions asked by the interviewer.... all you need to do is give a good reason for your answer.

Hi @justwise thanks for your help on this forum...I intend to study for a masters at university of Sunderland by september....I took the tb test and for some reason i cant even place put my sister's address as my Uk address instead of my intended school...would that be a problem??if yes?please how can I resolve this...Also i've worked for bout 4years after graduation ....Nysc and internship inclusive....do i need to submit employment letters at my interview and can 4 years be termed as a long gap....

If I were in your shoes, Well my answer is simple. Tell the truth. You have a sister in UK right? Is she in same state with your school? If yes, I would answer the interviewer as such;

Interviewer; where would you stay while schooling?

Me: I already looked up some houses online but would physically go check them up when I enter the UK. While looking for the house, I would stay in my sisters place for a couple of days till I get my own accommodation closer to the school.

4 years long term gap? No. You were working and now you have decided to pursue a masters along your profession to better position you in your industry.
Normally, only documents listed on your CAS are documents to take with you but you can take others along if you feel like.

“Nigerians tolerating bad service is true”

You schooled in the UK and should know better to stop with the generalisations. You also should have been taught that before you make conclusions, you should have all information. How did you even come to the conclusion that @akfaa tolerated bad service based on initial information given by him?

Thank God @akfaa has given further details to show it has nothing to do with accepting bad service.

Lastly, some Nigerians I know have been challenging authorities since university days. They did not need exposure to the western culture to demand what is right.

Do have a beautiful weekend.

If I had a scholarship and all I had to do is pick a uni to study at, I would make them beg me to study in their uni. There’s almost no school I know about that takes longer than 5 working days to respond to you, unless the school is backwards. You are doing hem a favour by picking them to study in their uni, not the other way around so you should be served accordingly.

Unless the school is the one giving you the scholarship, I advise you go to a school that would treat you like a king. So yes, if a school hesistates to respond to you, mail them explaining your displeasure at their service, then look for another school.

I know how my school pampered me throughout, even when I was sick. I had small problem with my housemates and they sent me vouchers and a letter of apology. Even my friend that had problems with UKVI, my school sorted it out immediately! I mean, You are paying money to study, it’s not free, you deserve to be served better! Simple.

You need to slow down madam, I think it is the school that is giving him scholarship. His options are limited and YES there are many schools in UK (I know many) where the international department are so slow in dealing with issues.

Please bear in mind that there are many schools in UK.

Mynd44:
Awww……touching but……the reason we have a justice system is that every angle is observed.

The beauty of the justice system is also that technical officials, witnesses and everyone are called to hear their bit before a judgement is given and here are the facts in her case

"The speed that skipped and flipped a jeep over the road demarcation will be considered ‘Reckless and Endangerment‘ because the VIO dept checked the jeep brakes, the engine and all the mechanical and electrical of the jeep but the result shows nothing wrong with the jeep and confirm that the accident as due to ‘OVER SPEEDING‘ in which the result was on record"

Does She take the courts for jokers? How will a car jump over a road divider and you claim you were not over-speeding?

"After the accident, Ibinabo left the scene of the accident without checking for any survivors, she took the license plate and registration out of the car and fled from the scene, that was considered “HIT AND RUN”. The people at the scene of the accident recognized her as Ibinabo Febresima, and stated she was drunk.”Driving Under Influence” of whatever she had "

Muliple witnesses confirm that she left the scene by herself and removed the car plates. They named her and testified to this

"The State Department of Transportation has to use the VIN number to locate the Owner of the jeep, in which the owner was Daniel Wilson. That was my very first time of hearing the name of Ibinabo Febresima. The Doctor died at the scene of the accident because the jeep was on top of the Honda accord driven by him and they couldn’t save him on time because of the seat belt and the weight of the jeep, the brother and the other family friend in that car had survived. Did she know the state of mind and the emotional instability of the people involved in that accident up till now, Ibinabo has never been in a Comma. "

Her jeep was so high in the air, it jumped over a read divider and landed on another car. The last time I saw this was "fast and the furious"
She wants to argue that she has been depressed, thibk of the family, the patient, what the country lost.

"After all the evidences against her, with the result of the VIO by the State department of Transportation, The DPP office took over and charged her to court and she hired Festus Keyamo in which after reviewing the case he withdrew by saying he cannot represent her because it’s a bad case.

Even lawyers stayed away from her case cos they knew it was hopeless

She said and l quote “I CAN’T DO THAT, BECAUSE IS GOING TO DAMAGE MY CAREER” what an ego, she cannot apologize publicly, I feel like kicking her ass. She’s worried about her stupid career, What happened to the career of the Doctor, who happened to be a ‘MEDICAL DIRECTOR AND THE HEAD OF THE DEPARTMENT OF PHYSICAL REHABILITATION MEDICINE AT GENERAL HOSPITAL LAGOS.

This part is just lovely. Very lovely

Taken from an interview with Dr. Giwa's sister. https://www.bellanaija.com/2016/03/read-late-dr-suraj-giwas-sisters-open-letter-on-ibinabo-fiberesimas-sentence/

All in all, instead of appealing for public sympathy, allow the supreme court give judgement and we can finally close this.

But Ibinabo should know that contesting for public office in light of this is terrible for optics. Surely her handlers cant be that insensitive to put her up to this and her endorsing it even before the supreme court gives judgement is just a show of insensitivity

You made sense until you said “contesting for public office is terrible” you must be joking right? 12 years.... so she should not move on with her life cos the case is still in court? Let the courts decide but she cannot continually put her life on hold. While waiting for the decision of the court (we all know how long that can take) let her move on with her life and do whatever she wants.

It’s painful to the Giwa family but life goes on.... this is the truth.

Hi guys, I really want to commend the work you guys are doing on here and I pray God bless us all. Please I have a question as someone about to become a partner in the Uber/taxify business.

I have a car (tokunbo 2007 Toyota Corolla)and about to give it to someone on higher purchase. Please can someone on here help me with the neccessary details such as what is the expected number of guarantor(s) to demand, should I ask for bulk part payment before the commencement of weekly payments? How much is normally demanded weekly and what is the overall interest that should be added? Please feel free to add any other thing I might have missed out.

Please note, i already made enquiries and the driver also already told me what he can offer (he is an experienced driver on Uber). I just feel I should also get inputs from my Nairaland family. God bless you all as you take time out to answer. And yes, I also have a lawyer to be involved cos I am not based in naija at the moment.

There is so much envy in the system, I am stunned with people’s ability to waste amazing energy on shit that has nothing to do with them most especially those old, bitter and ugly peeps on Nairaland such as yvelchstores, texazzpete just to mention a few.

Someone else’s winnings and happiness has nothing to do with you, there is an abundance of joy, wealth and prosperity out there and no one is taking yours. Focus on your own hustle, so that you can ball hard anyhow you want cos it’s your money and you owe no one any explanation.

Envy is an excuse to not do, not work, not grind. Free yourself of hate and envy and focus on your work.

thank God u know I am a entrepreneur. Kindly show proof of how well of u are.
Exchanging mentions with a small boy isn't what I woke to do. I have a business to run. U go answer to ur boss. Talk is cheap.

Aunty, first of all it is not “I am a entrepreneur” rather it is “I am an entrepreneur”. You can do night time classes with your hustle to brush up on your English.

I don’t look down on any job, any legal hustle is welcomed. I won’t go down that lane with you and yeah I report to my boss and earn in pounds which is the second highest currency in the world. I am so proud of my salary job.

My point is don’t condemn anyone’s choice of how they spend money, it is theirs. Stop hating and focus on your hustle if indeed it is only cloths you sell and don’t beg and sleep with “we small boys for money” as your side hustle to feed.

If you want to know more about me, go to the travel section of Nairaland and you will find out about me. My integrity is very solid on this platform and I have been on this platform even before you thought of joining.

Ask about me and you will know who you messing with. Now go and hustle, you need to sell cloths remember?
