They'll charge you a fraction of the amount it'll cost for a traditional jailbreak. You can actually do it yourself since it's very easy. All you need is the .pup file for latest CFW about 200mb in size.

It's jailbroken then. You'll have to reinstall the CFW. Doing so will format the hdd and thus you'll lose all your files, saves and trophies that are offline.

yes ooo. It actually happened when one day when I was playing fifa 14 my sister mistakenly touched the power cable and it off instantly since then almost all games I install on the HDD give me error 8... Or Hangs at 0% loading trophies.

I took it to ikeja computer village,they tried all their best(formatted,reinstall new games) but it didn't work. I guess those guys don't really know much about ps3.

One Tom Clancy End Of War game CD I have works well so I guess the problem is from the HDD

Have you tried reinstalling the cfw? You'll lose all your games though. But it should fix it.

Those videos are all fakes. There is no gta5 for android and there never will be. Even the ps3 and xbox360 versions were said to be almost impossible to make.

So far so good i haven't come across an ODE kit. In the electronics market. Hell jailbreaking nand ps3s is said to be impossible simply because there is no progskeet or teensy hardware flashers around. ODE is quite expensive and can be used only once per console. So it's logical for it to be fewer than other hardware kits for the ps3. It costs between $60 to $80 on ebay. If you take that into account and you do find someone willing to install the ODE it would cost something circa 15k upwards. That is if you even find someone that can actually fix it.

yes, with the latest cfw installed you have a whole lot of options available for you. You can create backups from your cds and play from hard drive. You can play directly from disk. Backwards compatibility with ps2 and psp games is also a possibility.

I would advise you jailbreak it instead. You might be cheated out of new console and given one which wouldn't last as long as yours would.

You didn't specify locations for getting the bootable disk. And most gamers here have either a ps3,ps4 or high end pc. We couldn't care less about Linux running on ps2 since it's a 2nd gen console.

He should accept 4k or 5k. Like i said it depends on how good you are at negotiating.

Yes and it's cheap too just 200 at most. If you want to play it via a flash you'll need to rip the entire disc.

Jailbroken ps3 slim is 32k at alaba. Not new sha.

It's not entirely a complex process. But it is kind of long though.
Here goes.

Requirements

Pc or a good smartphone

Your game in Iso format

Your Sd card formated in fat32 format

Openps2loader.elf latest version (this is optional, it is however advised that you update you opl otherwise you might run into compatibility issues when trying to launch games)

Procedure:

Download your desired game online. Visit coolrom or other iso sharing sites for your game. Just google "crash nitro cart ps2 iso" you'll get links to download from. Some of the isos are archived so you'll have to decompress them before you can get your iso game.

Google and download the latest version of opl you can find. Try googling "opl latest version download". After download, extract the archive and you'll get a file name with a ".elf" extension. Move or copy this file to your flash or sdcard that'll contain your game.

Create a folder named "DVD" in the flash or sd card. Now copy your game in iso format to into that folder.
Next plug in the flash and boot up your ps2. Since it's already hacked youll see the freemcboot splash screen.

Once you boot up your ps2 hold "R1" when you see the fmcb splashscreen. Ulaunchelf will boot. Now with it navigate to "mass" which is your sd card, locate the ".elf", highlight it, press "R1" to bring up option, chose copy, navigate back to home directory, open mc1, open "apps" folder, press "R1" again and then select paste. Now you've copied opl to your fmcb memory card.

It doesn't matter if you're running on the latest firmware. With the hardware flasher you can downgrade to 3.55, then install a cfw over it. If you can't do the downgrade and cfw installation yourself, get an expert to do it for you.

Yes it can be jailbroken. All you need is E3 nor flasher. It's a solderless and a self-explanatory process. If you aren't too keen on tinkering, you can get someone to do it for you. It shouldn't cost more than 5k at most.

To get half life 2 and portal running you'd however need root with gltools installed. For better gaming experience you really need gltools with it you can force Multisampling Anti-aliasing up to 16x on any game.
