The Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB) has recently released a list of 19 items that are prohibited from being brought into the UTME examination hall. This move comes as part of the board’s efforts to ensure the sanctity and fairness of the examination. In a weekly bulletin, JAMB stated that all eyeglasses will be thoroughly inspected and any that may compromise the examination’s integrity will be confiscated. It also warned that anyone found with any of the banned items in the examination hall may face severe sanctions. According to the memo, examination officials are authorized to scrutinize eyeglasses or similar devices, and if they are convinced that such an item may compromise the examination’s sanctity, it should be confiscated. This applies to both JAMB staff and ad hoc staff.
