OgogoroFreak: Well, wouldn't want to mention the item for personal reasons.
But my ₦15,000,000 gave me roughly $75,000. I got the item at bulk price of $100 each and bulk ship at $10 per item. I sold them here in naija around 68k - 70k each when dollar was almost ₦500. Inbox the item so I can help you share it with fellows |

Agbeni33: please i need explanation on this issue.
I went to stanbic bank last week(12 /02/2019) for last week auction. i filled the form and it was submitted. the lady said are should come back on the 13th which is the real day for the auction to know the rate at which the TB will be bought.when i got there she told me that she bought the TB from the primary market that i will receive email and debit alert message. since then i didn't see any email message nor debit alert. to my greatest surprise someone else paid money into my account and i discovered that the money i recommended for the TB as been deducted without debit message and email message. my question is, does that mean that my bid as been successful? if yes, why is there no any evidence? the lady attended to me said are should be expecting message since last week. please what is the solution? For a successful bid, you are supposed to receive a confirmation email from stanbic stating: >the face value >Discount value >Transaction fee >Safekeeping fee >Effective Date >Maturity Date >Rate |

I never said anyone is dumb. However, you can choose to remain ignorant if you want. There are better ways of doing things and perhaps it's beyond your reality to think it possible to earn such an amount on a monthly basis. It's your choice Kindly start a new thread on that. Thanks. 2 Likes |

Kemade2007: Pls house I need your advice on this I have #300k with Stanbic MMF which gives me #149-#150 per day. My questions are -should I continue with the MMF or -redeem it and put it in Treasury bill since I don't need it in the next 6months. Thanks How did you open Stanbic MMF account? Does it requires opening a deposit account first? |

Uzee24: Please House, does anyone here use Diamond bank for NTB transactions? I submitted a bid at my branch even though I was asked not to specify any rate, I am still yet to hear from dem. I would like to know if anybody on this thread bidded for Feb 15th using Diamond bank and if so, did the person go with the bank rate or specified his/her own rate and what is the outcome? I did with diamond bank using my own rate(17.15%, 182 days) but yet to be debited. I am not expecting anything because the same thing happened at the 1/2/17 auction; I bidded with the same rate but they didn't submit it |

Investment / Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by Onboard1: 5:52pm On Feb 03, 2017 |
slimtriggaman: to the best of my knowledge (Gurus in the house can correct me), there are three major scenarios;
1.) If you go with bank rate, the success or failure of your auction depends solely on the bank
2.) If you go with your personal rate and your rate is higher than CBN stop rate and your bank uses a lower rate within CBN stop rate, your auction would not be successful.
3.) If you go with your personal rate and your rate is higher than the bank rate and lower than CBN stop rate, your auction would be successful, assuming the bank acknowledges your auction request.
What will make a bank not to acknowledge someone's bid? I asked this because I wrote a letter to my branch manager(Diamond Bank) to bid on my behalf using 13.7% for 91days and 17.15% for 182 days. Till now, I have not been debited. I'm not in naija but I reached my account officer to verify if manager submitted the bid. He said he wasn't on sit |

Please I currently bank with FBN, Eco, & GTB. Pease which of these are the best for TB purchase from the primary market. I am looking at N1.5M for 91 days.
Thanks for the response (s) I think ppl mention GTB and FBN more frequently. Visit your branch and ask. Good luck |

That's exactly what they should debit. The interest is calculated per annum not just 91days as it is there.
I will calculate ur transaction above like this....
N1,000,000 ÷ 100 x 13.8 ÷ 365 what you get after solving is the correct interest. You have been paid all.
If you actually took time to read from beginning you shouldn't miss how its calculated.
Didn't know that ![shocked](https://www.nairaland.com/faces/shocked.gif) Thanks |

I need help oooo I learned about NTB here on this thread(not experienced). I tried my luck at this last auction through DIAMOND BANK I invested 1m at 13.8% rate for 91days tenor.
I also learned here that the interest is paid upfront.
But I just got alert and was debited #965,594.52 instead of #862,000.00
Will they credit me the difference later or should I contact my branch with complain. I'm confused, has someone experienced such thing before?. |

Take a cue from Spyder880. Be open with such enquiry. Nothing beats transparency and being a straight shooter in this business. I actually came across your posts for the very first time today. If your client forbids you from revealing cost details, then that's a different issue.

Had I known I would have since gone with them and avoided diamond bank with their terrible customer relations. Must you have account with the bank(e.g: fcmb) before you can place your bid through them? |
