Nobody has done that either because at the end of the day each state will develop at its on pace.

SonOfEl:

i dont care whether he is even from my village, point is, anambra should not in any way be a yardstick for abia. Lets just criticise abia without downplaying its dignity, worst of all, using anambra to standardize abia.

Listen very well my friend. Nobody is castigating Aba or Abia state for being the dirtiest/unorganized town and state. Go back through this thread. Your brother b2mario is having a mental problem. He goes about insulting Anambra people on this thread and thought somebody like me will allow it slide. Of course I will fire him back with the harsh truth. Learn to find out how issues cropped up in the first instance. I will always keep b2mario under check with the harsh truths until his madness is fully cured.

SonOfEl:
ANAMBARIANS AND THEIR CHEST BEATING. WAS ONITSHA NOT ONCE UPON A TIME THE DIRTIEST UNPLANNED PLACE IN THE EAST? YET DID WE CASTIGATE ANAMBARIANS? NOW THEY TALK AS OF THEY ARE SUPERIOR TO OTHER IGBO STATES. INSECURE FELLOWS. A SIMPLE GOOGLE SHOULD CURE YOU OF YOUR IGNORANCE ABOUT ABA, ABRIBA, OHAFIA, AROCHUKWU, ISIKWUATO, BENDE, UMUAHIA, IKWUANO BOTH HISTORICALLY, ECONOMICALLY AND CULTURALLY.

Yes I am talking about rural roads because there is no road in Aba but shambles and filth. I mentioned rural thinking that since you do not have in the urban areas that you might have at least small in the rural.

As for our urban centers, we are on another pedestal and developing to a world class status with flyovers, malls, 5 star resorts, airport, refinery, road infrastructures etc, while your state is still low and backward with rotten and decayed infrastructures. I weep for you guys each time I pass Abia state.

There is no comparison between our state and yours because while we are advancing with good governance, your state is still very under developed with at least 92% of its roads in a horrible condition.

I have shown so many rural roads apart from Osumenyi which is just one part. I have shown Achina, Uga, Neni, Akwaihedi, Akwaeze, Agulu etc these are the towns I visited and their roads beats everything your entire state can offer.

Learn to face the harsh truth my piggery friend.. cheesy

B2mario:

Lol, uncordinated man here you come again. Are we talking of rural roads, we are just talking of urban settings, Aba and Umuahia, Onitsha and Awka.

If you prefer rural roads i will demand that you post your own on your thread while i do mine here.

Let the truth be told, you might have better rural roads than ours because of Ngige and Peter obi who did nothing to upgrade Onitsha and Awka but concentrated more on rural roads in Anambra south and central.

And you people should stop showcasing Orsumehi as the pride of your state cos it has no match to just Ozar, Azumiri, Obehi, akwaete talk more of places like Umuokpara, Ubakala, Umudike, Igberre, Ohaofia, and Abiriba.

Stfu! The person you quoted is not from Anambra but Abia state. He is a concerned Abian who faces reality.

SonOfEl:

as far as am concerned, criticisms about my beloved state are most welcomed. This should aba and abia as a whole to sit up. However, any anambran trying to downplay abia and its people to superiorize anambra is indeed suffering from a terrible complex. Abia has leadership issues, yet that dosent rob it of producing entreprenurial gurus and first class human capital, high literacy rate and rich cultural history. Abia has a smaller population compared to anambra, yet its potentials rivals anambra anyday anytime.

Please vote the dustbin man.............. grin grin

B2mario:

That dustbin man is better than anybody that will come with Anambra party. Tomorrow now you will tell the whole Nigeria that you give us a gov.

I'm not against my good brother, Alex Otti but i had rather support PDP, APC, PPA, UPP than to support APGA. I don't want what happened in Imo to happen in Abia.

Your people are very mean and might want to use APGA influence to hijack projects and appointments in Abia.

Chai, you've missed. Otti should come up next time with another party. He should have used APC.
Politics / Re: Welcome To Abia State: God's Own State (pictures) by oneeast: 8:31am On Dec 31, 2014
That person is telling you the truth. You do not have a state but hell. It is as simple as that. Your state is largely underdeveloped due to non state and federal presence. All the roads leading to your state are in shambles. Fact!

As for comparing the two states, there is no basis because your state is not only filthy but littered with horribly bad roads, unconducive environment and retrogression due to mal-administration since 1999.

Stop trying to say things that will make you feel good. Just face reality for once, your state is dead and needs resuscitation. There is no basis to compare your filthy, disorganized, piggery state to ours. I will always be here to tell you the harsh truth.

B2mario:

Lol, you think i don't know you? Nwoke Anambra disguising as onye Abia. Ha chokwara iwu ndi Abia, it's very expensive to be Onye Abia, the most civilized people in Nigeria.

Onye Anambra ama fashion, unu ka na eyi Aba n'oji.

But bro just be truthful to yourself and humanity to this question I'll ask you now, whatever you say is what I'll take and if you lie, spiritually you've mortgaged the future of your generations.

Aba and Onitsha, Umuahia and Awka which ones are finer and better?

Read the above things very well and anything u give is what i will take and leave everyother thing to nature to do its part.

You don't seem to get it. You do not have a state, what you have is hell. Ask anybody your state is hell. All the roads in your state are hell. Did you watch the youtube posted up there by your brother? Your state is the worst and most under developed state in Nigeria. The only thing you pigs have is those dirty shoe making shops. The worst roads and most decayed environment is found in your state. Fact!

Be sincere to yourself for once. Even your own people are telling you that you have no state but hell. Elect a sane person next year if you want development. Go to our thread and see real development traversing all parts of the state. Your state is still very backward and rural.

Get a life, my state has the best road network that beats everything your filthy and hellish state can offer. cheesy

If you like go and elect the dustbin man, he will teach you guys another level of underdevelopment. cheesy

B2mario:

which roads are horrible, the ones custonized13 and I have been showing here?

Bro it's not an insult, your state is the least developed in SE. Do you know that i grew up in Anambra state and I'm a regular observer of that Anambra thread where you and your folks always post pictures of Night show. The only meaningful picture i saw was that of Awka bridges.

And why do you people always love to show Orsumehi, is it the only good place in Anambra?

In as much as i know that Abia has some problem, it's an insult for someone to compare it with LAWLESS and UNDEVELOPED Anambra. Get that pride off you and take the truth!

Stop tiring your pants and tell yourself the truth, your state can not be like mine in the next 50yrs.

We have got it right from the time of Ngige to Obi and now the technocratic Obiano. Go and get it right when next you have the opportunity.

We have good governance that provides infrastructures, healthy environment, health and educational infrastructures, etc

Your state has the worst roads ever not only in the SE but Nigeria. The pictures are there for anyone to see.

What you people are suffering is peculiar to you guys. Vote in a sane person if you want change if not continue with the dustbin man and you shall continue to be in the woods.

B2mario:

Me TA Orji apologist? You don't know me before.

I'm here to defend my state not the govt that has failed my beloved city, Aba.

Before now some people who relied on internet has called Aba all sort of bad names based on what they got on internet.

I've criticise Abia and her govt but my defense of state started when some Anambra indigenes who i know too well that they are suffering the same problem of bad governance claimed that their state is better than our beautiful state and swear to deal with anybody who mention their state on the vanguard of bad governance.

While as someone who grew up in Osha knows that the city can not be compared with Aba in anyway. Get your fact!

I and Customied13 have not said that Abia is not bad, it is just like other Nigerian states and maybe placed among the 1st 10 finest state in Nigeria and 2nd in SE after imo state, why it will be placed before Enugu state is that outside the Enugu city no other place can be compared with Aba, Umuahia, Ohaofia, bende, Abiriba, Ukwa etc.

Those things you noticed about our govt I've noticed them before you, and we are here to correct the impression that Abia is the worst state in Nigeria while in the actual sense Abia is the 10th finest state in the federation.

We have almost everything except seaport and Airport but believe me by February next year our airport will start working.

Each time you talk it becomes obvious that a pig is talking. I am telling you that you do not have a state what you have is 'hell'. Aba is hell don't you get it? So it is insulting to say that you have a state. Onitsha is more or less like London compare to the slum settlement called Aba where every filth in Nigeria is resident. A town with all its roads unmotorable and filled with filth and mad people.

Since you told me that you are from Aba I started seeing you as a pig. I pity you because you are still campaigning for Okezie what Oriji did to you guys will be a child's play compare to what this dustbin man will do. For 16yrs you guys have been in the wilderness. Let hope that you get it right this time by voting Otti. Go to Anambra thread and see pictures of real development and not this thing you are running all over the place with your poor language.

On the state comparison. Anambra is by far more advanced on infrastructure, health, education etc just name it. You guys are very backward with the worst roads in the East. Take a look at Aba and you will weep. be sincere to yourself. Abia state is in bondage. Even ordinary rural roads in Anambra beats every damn thing you can boast of in your dirty urban areas.

Get a life in your hellish state. cheesy

B2mario:

I saw your above post but i didn't want to reply it because you spoke like an animal but I'll reply this you speak like a human being.
Just respect yourself cos the wound you caused on Abia image is still burning in my heart. And why I've not felt to react the way you've been reacting is just because of th respect i have for Anambra state as an Igbo state. But oneday we must display our madness and that day is not far fetch.

And pls stop comparing Onitsha with the great city of Aba because both has no match. You are using Onitsha which can boast of only 2 dual carriage( Asaba/enugu rd and Onitsha/owerri rd which are federal roads) to compare great Enyimba city(Aba) where all the major roads and some inner roads are dual carriage way.

Bro you need to grow up, stop acting like a kid, Anambra as whole needs a general overhaul. Travellers know the real state of your state but are afraid to say it out because of you and your likes.

This is the 19th page of this thread and 70% of it are pictures while your own state thread is more than 110 pages while one hardly see up to 40 pictures of real development in Anambra state.

The major thing is that a refinery is already taking off at Otuocha, thereby creating the much needed employment in Anambra. The only benefit of NDDC is just the NDDC projects and nothing more. We shall drill our oil and sell directly and make our dollars for the further development of the state. Anambra is the winner here.

Do not say what you do not know. Ayogu eze is an unlettered clown who think he can stop the oil bill. Does it he not know that Anambra has been drilling oil in the Anambra Basin? He should go and find out why he was not given PDP ticket. Ask Olisa Metu. You cannot fight Anambrans without paying dearly for it. Let us not go there yet.

passion007:

The Igbo person is generally law-abiding. If a case is before the Boundaries' Commission and awaiting jurisdiction, we don't attempt to pre-empt the court decisions. In that light, I don't see anything Ayogu Eze said that should have rankled anybody. Andy Uba was being mischievous sponsoring a heavily contentious bill. We are grateful the house put that bill aside, or Andy would have succeeded in erupting fresh violence over the Anambra borderland.

You are a clown. Anambra has the biggest economy in the SE and that covers whatever shiit you have down there. We have the real industrialization- auto-making and not shoe-making. We have the best road network, we have the largest economic center, we have oil and largest gas reserve with a refinery, we have the most influential and brightest minds, from the time of great Zik, Achebe, Ojukwu, Chike Obi, etc We are leading the pack in all facets. You can take that to Aso Rock!

The fact is that Anambrans are a different people operating on a different pedestal.

Abagworo:

The bolded is part of the delusion that makes you assume ridiculously.

If every State makes such statements, it will always be right from their point. Let us take Abia for example and notice that the only Igbo military head of State, the only Igbo army chief, the only Igbo military VP etc. are from there, why do they not claim jealousy when people criticise Abia. Mind you they also have the largest and most industrialised city, oil reserve, the finest State University etc.

Why is it that when people criticise Abia they do not view it as jealousy or hate?

I have warned you to stay off Anambra thread or what will happen to this Imo thread will be unimaginable..
Politics / Re: Few Pics From Imo State by oneeast: 10:12am On Dec 30, 2014
You are silly I must confess. The only difference between Orji and Okorosha is that the former didn't borrow while the later borrowed over 200billion within just 3yrs.

Imo state today has the worst road networks. Owerre is very dirty with its bad road that litters the town. I am ready to post the current pictures of Owerre and Imo state that I covered last week during my tour to prove my point to you.

Imo state has sunk and needs a proper rescue. What is your development status on the following: network of roads, education, health, industrialization, job creation etc..the result is zero.

Abagworo:

You are simply deluded. Orji recently appointed an Anambrarian as Abia chief judge. The only Igbo State where everyone can aspire to be anything is Abia. The rest are more localised especially Anambra. Why is it that criticism is viewed by you as hate but yet most of the pictures of bad roads in Aba originates from Anambrians living there. If I post pictures of bad roads that dots all over Onitsha, Chino will view it as a fight whereas if Arthur Eze posts pictures of bad roads in Aba, Abians will view it as criticism and air their view without hate.

The sooner you stop thinking from a deluded point of view the better for you.

Why are you always looking for enemy where it does not exist? What has Onitsha got to do with this thread? Why not focus on providing pictures to prove your point than ranting all over the place all in a bid to feel good.

Now let me make it clear to you..Abia is a disaster. Its an insult to write Aba on the same page with Onitsha which has good roads and clean environment.

Aba represent everything dirty, bad roads, disorganization and filth. I must confess to you that you do not have a state but 'hell'. Vote in a sane person like Otti if you wish to see good governance..if not you will continue yapping without substance. Aba is the worst town in Nigeria. I felt pity for you guys when I watched the video above. smh for you.

I am ready to derail this thread for you if you will not mind your filthy state.

B2mario:

Nwanne, Aba is not bad as they portray here. I can equally fault you for relying on internet, atimes make up time to visit some Nigeria cities so as to know their real conditions. The paramount aim of what I'm doing here today is to prove some people wrong based on their wrong perception about Aba, but in actual sense Aba still needs some attentions from state and federal govt.

Aba is not dirty and cannot be, just that it's having a drainage problem which is affecting some of it's roads that are far from river.

Then coming to Aba and Onitsha which i would not want to comment on, so as to not to derail this wonderful thread from my Anambra brothers, Aba is better, well planned, landscaped, neater and finer than Onitsha due to the attention it received from the colonial govt in 1921, filgerow after civil war, Mbakwe and Orji Uzor kalu.

The problem with we Abians is that we thought that the only way to get more from govt is to criticize but TA Orji govt has taught us that it's not the ultimate. The more we criticise his govt the more he neglect us.

Aba is the 4th finest city in Igboland just that Osisioma and Ugwunagbo lgas part of the city are not doing well like other lgas who are sweeping their roads on daily basis.

Prostitution, one of the oldest professions in the world, regardless of its moral decadence and negative trailing effects, still thrives even with the interference of religious injunctions and countless laws enacted against it. A malignant scourge and a threatening ill in the society, eating deep like cancer across all class and strata from the younger generations to the older ones, taking its negative toll in different ways. Countries around the globe suffer this ugly menace at varying degrees depending on the extent of repulsiveness the act has on the citizens, not forgetting also the psychological reactions, psychosocial damages and the political implications which the imprints leave in such nations.

Prostitutes have being in business from time immemorial, and are most times viewed as social outcasts by all generations from way back to date. Though the act is still practiced in brothels and streets of major cities all over Nigeria today, the dark trade has shifted and is now flourishing in the country’s higher institutions of learning, right under the very nose of the authorities concerned. This high level of patronage coupled with the usual excuse of ‘poverty’ has made students of higher institutions of learning embrace the ungodly act, often times re-branding the ugly act with disguised names such as ‘Runs’ or ‘Hustle,’ simply to fine-tune and hide the originally evil-branded form for the sake of carrying out their nefarious acts freely. The predominance of this degrading act among our youths today points out to a number of factors which have directly or indirectly led these youngsters towards this ungodly path unworthy and condemnable in the sight of God and man. In Owerri today, this act of sex-peddling has proven to be a chronic societal ill, flowing undeterred, gradually becoming a norm among our beautiful young girls, and like a virus, it is gradually percolating its tentacles un-relentlessly around the town. The situation has become so worrisome and it isn’t a rare sight to find our young girls on a daily basis frolicking and hovering at nights around hotel lobbies, guest houses, club houses or even beer palours as sex peddlers, seeking for interested ‘patrons’ to ‘trade’ their bodies with for money. The situation has become even more dire and pathetic as some greedy hoteliers and club owners within the town, in the bid to spun more money for themselves, open up their fun gates to every Tom, Dick and Harry, ignoring the minimum world accepted age exclusively accorded to adults only (18+), simply to satisfy their insatiable love for money at the expense of the eventual victims. Even with the gory tales of ritual killings and manipulations, unwanted pregnancies, and the increasing wave of sexually transmitted infections which befall some of these unlucky victims involved, the status-quo surprisingly still remains the same.

Quite disheartening to know also that some marriages and relationships break up as a result of the condescending attachment of supposedly married men to these young ladies of easy virtue who in turn make use of material benefits gotten from these men to graciously complement whatever they must have mustered through the same ill means.

But, where did we go wrong, and how did we end up in this sorry state? Must pre-marital sex become a fad among these youngsters not just in Imo state alone but Nigeria as a whole? Why has prostitution eaten so deep in Owerri, the Imo state capital, and where lies the future of these ladies of easy virtues? How hard is the government of Imo state fighting the scourge, and to what extent? Are there binding laws and punishments ruling against the menace and the perpetrators of the act? All these questions should abound in the hearts of well-meaning Imolites who are fed up and determined to turn around this unwarranted development for the better, for the sake of proffering lasting solutions necessary to restore dignity back to the Eastern Heartland. While trying to curb this sorry situation, there is the utmost need to retrace our steps back to the basis, which is the home, as this platform provides the first and direct link between these young ladies and the outside world. The family institution needs to be re-invigorated. If parents were at home performing their parental responsibilities, their daughters would probably not have taken to the streets to prostitute or make cheap their bodies to just any stranger. ‘Poverty,’ a common excuse, should never be a reason to commit such a degrading act, instead adequate efforts ought to be channeled by guardians and parents towards sensitizing their wards on the dangers and life threatening consequences linked to indulging in such an unholy duel.

This is also a wakeup call for the state government, as stringent rules and stiff modalities need to be set up to see to the close monitoring of such activities in the town in order to curb its widespread encroachment. Stiff penalties should be enforced on men who patronize these ladies, while persons trading directly or indirectly in prostitution should be arrested and prosecuted instantly to serve as a deterrent to other intending individuals. Public awareness/ Rehabilitation programs also need to be set up in the state not only to equip our young ladies on the negative effects of indulging in prostitution, but also to help those already in the act have a positive turn-around, either engaging themselves in respectable businesses or concentrating more on acquiring serious education to make a better future for themselves.

Dear Imolites, Prostitution has never been in our culture, and as such shouldn’t be tolerated in any form. Imo state possesses an enviable rich cultural heritage which includes living a chaste life and according utmost respect for the body. The truth must be told, and the time to revolt against this disturbing issue is now. Let’s heed to the clarion call and join hands in fighting prostitution in our land to a standstill. Imo must be better!http://www.theredparrotonline.com/?p=160

All those people are from Owerre where prostitution is their life style............

Once you hit the ground, you will feel the vibe of Owerri, the capital of Imo State. The city is warm, with many things to keep visitors engaged. Known for its robust hospitality industry, Owerri is the destination of fun seekers. Visitors to Owerri will always have fond memories of the city as well as the longing to return. They will remember the nightlife. They will remember that most of the fine restaurants, hotels and fun spots are places to be in the night.

They know that Owerri has its fair share of nightclubs. While some of the clubs operate on their own, others are built inside hotels. Those who lodge in the hotels that operate nightclubs are admitted free, upon showing their room keys. Others pay gate fee. Expectedly, going by the active nightlife in the city, Owerri is brimming with prostitutes. Investigations revealed that commercial sex workers flock around popular hotels and fun spots, looking for men to hook.

Most of these sex workers are students in tertiary institutions in the state and neighbouring states. In the day, these students appear somewhat respectable on campus, but at night they wear a different cap. By their dressing you shall know them. They appear in low waist trousers, short gowns/micro mini skirts, midriff and bosoms revealing tops and patrol premises of hotels with nightclubs.

One of the commercial sex workers told Saturday Sun, at the Rappour Hotel nightclub, that she comes around to earn money and take care of herself and siblings. Ijeoma, as she called herself, said: “I come to the club about three times a week to catch some fun, but nothing goes for nothing.”

Mr. Livinus Manukwem, an Owerri based businessman, the situation could not have been otherwise, every factor considered. “The sheer number of tertiary institutions in and around Owerri naturally creates the environment for people to indulge. I think there are more higher institutions in Owerri than in any other town in the country. Those setting up such facilities in Owerri are smart business people, taking advantage of the environment or situation. It is just like locating an industry where the raw materials for production abound,” he argued.

Open sex club One of the nightclubs offering “special services” is located unobtrusively off All Seasons Road, New Owerri. The club begins business from about 8pm. However, activities reach fever pitch from 10pm and continue till the wee hours.

This hangout is a white bungalow that hardly gives itself away. It looks like the regular club inside but without heavy décor and neon lights at the entrance. The regular dance hall is always almost empty, making one wonder how they manage to stay afloat. But if you wait long enough, you will notice young and middle aged men strolling into a passage on the left side of the dance hall. And that is where the real action is.

To go past barrel-chested bouncers manning an inner door, you must pay a gate fee of N1,000. There is an adjoining room also and both have something in common: Wild sexual obscenity.

The rooms are not well illuminated but bright enough for you to see what is being offered. Once you step in, the sight that greets you is that of a number of Unclad girls or at various stages of Unclothedness. The girls in bra and pants soon shed every piece of clothing, as the show gathers momentum.

The nightclub parades these girls in appreciable number. Unlike some strip bars where only a handful of girls entertain, this nightclub has them many. And they come in various sizes and shapes: slim, flat, tall, short, fair, dark. Again, unlike most Unclad clubs, where go-go girls exhibit their stuff on a platform, in this fun spot the girls offer more or less personal service. They move from one patron to another, showing the stuff they are made off.

Saturday Sun was at the nightclub recently. As soon as the reporter and two of his friends sauntered in, Unclad girls began to hover around them. About 12 of them were inside the room. Some were smoking cigarettes and drinking can beer, which is sold for N500 each.

Others were rocking to the pulsating music blasting from the speakers. They were making explicit sex remarks and gestures to the men, even as some playfully squeezed one another’s buttocks and bosoms, like lesbians.

Shortly after the reporter walked in, Flavour’s monster hit, Ashawo, began to play. The tempo of the music seemed to energize the dancers and they did exotic dance steps and got wilder.

In corners, some of the girls were engaged in lap dance with men, who grabbed the opportunity with both hands, kissing, sucking bosoms and caressing the lower region of the girls. The mischievous guys were inserting naira notes in between the thighs of the girls. As the guys titillated their bosoms, they squeezed the hard-on of their partners even as they asked to be “appreciated.” In this nightclub, to be “appreciated” is euphemism for “I need some money.”

The inner room is a shade darker and sleazier. There, the patrons and the girls get more intimate, engaging in all manner of sexual acts. Some of the strip dancers were sitting astride men even as others were caressing themselves. One of the girls, who gave her name as Marbel, said that for N2,000 she would engage in MouthAction with a man in the dark hall. It was gathered that a patron could also take any of the girls out for the night, for an agreed sum. The price depends on the time, desperation of the girl and bargaining power of the patron, but it could be anything between N5,000 and N10,000.

Private parties It was also learnt that the strip dancers equally entertain at private or house parties. According to one of the girls, who identified herself as Maureen, “If guys want to be entertained in a private apartment or hotel room, the girls would be willing. The price tag is N5,000 per girl for an outing of between four and five hours.”

She said: “You can have sex with a girl at the house party, but it is a personal thing. Of course, if you make a good offer a girl will not refuse it. It is a matter of cash.” She further said that if given at least two days notice, she can arrange for up to 30 girls for such special outing. She further said that payment must be made before the girls begin to drop their pants Dark, slim Maureen, who described herself as a professional dancer, sees nothing wrong with strip dancing. “It is like every other profession.

I personally like to dance and if I strip while dancing, what is the big deal? On the issue of sex, everybody is doing it. Female bankers do have sex; medical doctors have sex; actresses have sex; teachers have sex; lawmakers and ministers have sex. In fact, every person is having sex with the people they like or under whatever arrangement. It’s just that people pretend a lot. Some civil servants have sex with more men in a week than strip dancers,” she said.

An insider told Saturday Sun: “Some of the strip dancers are students and they pay their bills with the money they make. But all the dancers are not students. Some of the girls come from poor homes, so they use what they make at the bar to take care of themselves and families. Single mothers and young widows are also among them.

It was also gathered that more girls are coming to the club almost on daily basis seeking to be registered as strippers. One of the requirements is that the girls must be 18 years and above.

There is nothing like GDP in Imo state because at least 75% of Imo state people are poor. Meanwhile 1/4th of Imo state population are living in Anambra where they are earning a decent living far better than their state can offer. So stop talking rubbish, we all know the state where all their girls are all prostitutes and HIV carriers- Imo state. Proliferation of brothels for prostitutes is not a sign of development but retrogression.

What you have all over Owerre are brothels filled with cheap prostitutes, they are the same people infecting other states with HIV..

Abagworo:

I am not interested in your smear campaign anyway. I only wanted you to realize that bigger economy does not mean higher GDP or per capita income because of your earlier argument with Ikengawo. On your frequent use of brothels just bare in mind that Anambra has the highest rate of HIV in the Southeast while Imo has the least in Southeast and Southsouth. There is a difference between mid range hotels and Brothels or guest houses.

Heheheheheheheh..ikwerre b@stard talking. I think you people need to take a lesson on GDP and tourism..because even your brother ikegawo mistook prostitution and proliferation of brothels in Owerre for tourism. cheesy

I have done a comprehensive tour of 5 SE states I must confess that what I saw in Imo state is nothing but disaster, rot, decay, under development, poverty etc. I am just waiting for the right time to unleash it on your thread. You just have to brace up for the shock.

As for GDP, Imo state is at the tail board. Apart from brothels there is nothing more to talk about in Imo state.

It will take your useless and ordinary state another 200yrs to get to our level of development that is if we standstill..of which is not gonna happen..

Abagworo:

Just go to school and stop insulting Imo State. I have done a detailed tour of the East and the result from your State is not encouraging.

Agriculture and tourism are very vital for a vibrant economy. Wake up from your slumber and embrace reality. Anambra has a larger economy. It is however not same as GDP or per capita income.

Nwanne kedu ije..

longest time, how is your studies in China? Am in Osumenyi right now, so many big boys are in town.

Anambra is on a steady rise, as for the flyovers they did not stop work on the two rather they focused on crossing the beams on one while they cast the other ones. The dual carriageway from 3-3 will terminate at the airport site.

Obiano is a technocrat he knows how to go about the funding..

Choi, my Igbo is quite poor. grin

Anyways, You guys have really done a great deal of work on this thread, both the builders and the obasanjo picture posting derailers.

That Obiano has achieved a lot in a short period is no fallacy but fact, but there is no man that hasn't got shortcomings, and while everybody here (or most at least ) have chosen to keep mute on those ,I, being objective as I always am will show the both sides of the coin, not minding whose ox gets gored. cool

Ask anybody in Anambra stare, and the first thing they'll tell you, they observed from Obiano's Government was security, his approach was non ever seen before in our part. Massive intelligence work that led to capture of criminals who felt invisible, leaving more in flight. It's commendable he started with security, because no place thrives in a blanket of insecurity.
Places which hitherto were out of bounds at late hours due to the activities of criminals(Upper Iweka and environs) were now safe.

His investment drive and infrastructure renaissance is quite impressive and unlike our former business minded governor, Obiano appears to have taste for fun, as is evident with the Christmas decorations around the entire state(Even my Village ).

My only concern is the rate at which new projects are being proposed everyday when work previously proposed ones are yet to start. For instance the dualisation of the 3-3 road in Onitsha upto otuocha river is yet to brginbegin, more than 5 months after it was proposed, same as the amusement park at Ziks Mausoleum.
Everyone Here is rejoicing about the progress work on the Awka flyover, but do you guys know, work has been stopped on the two remaining flyovers just so there would be enough money (or so I presume) to complete one?

Work on the mall at Nnewi has stopped(As of the last time I was there 2weeks ago)

Obiano is a good man with good intentions, but he must understand that Anambra is not a super rich state and thus propose only projects he has funds to complete.
I learnt he abandoned most of the roads started by Peter obi in main market.

That is all I have to say for now.

But u have more to worry about ur state? Go to ur state thread and complain about myriads of problems bedeviling your state. You have not gone there to cry out of bitterness and frustration the way u camp here everyday dying in envy and bitterness.

Erosion project is a federal govt project. Even the ones in my town uga and ekwulobia has been worked and it has since disappeared. Though I have not seen that of agulu, nanka and oko. Erosion is something that affects most southern states.

tandj:
Pls people, I hv been reading a lot about d developmental strides in our state. It even reached my family house, thanks to our CIC, but I wanna touch some issues I hv not seen treated here b4(maybe it has, I may be wrong)
What is d our govtdoing about d deep erosion in nanka-oko-ogbu straight to agulu and then bursting out to onitsha owerri road.

Have any of u been to nanka to be precise?
I have. D people of one village there(amakor nanka) has to construct a new road bc of what deep gully erosion has don to d only road leading to their village.
So far govt has done absolutely nothing to stop d erosion rampage on that community. They will only come with their camera and press people, promise heaven and earth and it ends there.
Its d igbo spirit that made those people continue to struggle and fight for their lives else,
Least I forget, ekwueme house is close to d erosion sight in oko.

I'm using this platform to appeal to those in charge to do something for these people.
D greatest mistake I made was not snaping pictures though I was afraid, the place makes one feel dizzy and sway.

Are there no nanka, oko ogbu, agulu people here?
Can't u guys advocate for ur various towns?
Go and snap pictures and litter them on social media, that way I'm sure the message will be delivered faster.

If there is a shortfall in d development of ur town or u see where things r not done well in ur area, open up and talk about it, picture too if u can.
These r what we need, d good, bad and ugly sides of anambra state.
Udo dili unu o.
Happy ekeresimesi everybody!
