I wake up this morning with a loud shout owing to the fact that i was late for work so i quickly rushed into the bath room just like very other nigerian that is late for an appointment,i did the bathing sharply with my boss's angry face at heart. Not withstanding, wore my clothes,picked up my tecno L8 forgetting my nokia touch so i hit the road. The day had something big for me in mind and me not knowing (and as a born talkative) i bumped into an argument between a traffic officer and a gentle motorist. the argument was heating up and i decided to contribute as a nigerian that believes in CHANGE. Not long the argument was now between me and the police man saying why should i interfere when an officer of the law is talking. He continued that the man's car had only one head lamp (please my people is that what a police man should be checking in the morning?).So like an endless battle, he was shouting and asked for my id card, on bringing it out he seized my phone and before i could react, his men landed with hilux then i knew gbese don gas! i maintained. to cut it short they collected 3k saying i just paid for another man's offense.i got to the office few minutes ago and my boss never said a word to me though got red eyes..so my question now is what is the work of Police and the work of Road safety??

Project Ara is one of the more interesting and ambitious things we've seen come out of Google in the mobile arena in some time. The basic idea is a smartphone-like device, but one that has swappable components that can be changed out simply to either improve the experience of the device or add new features. Cameras, batteries and sensors can be added at will to a Project Ara phone without changing how the device works otherwise.



Right now, things are still very early for Project Ara. Google has begun a consumer trial of the phones and components in Puerto Rico, but beyond that is still recruiting manufacturers to make new modules and getting a feel for how consumers will react to the idea of an easily-upgradeable phone. There's a target "entry" price of $50 for Project Ara devices, which is pretty ambitious.
We're not sure if Project Ara will end up taking the world by storm, but we are sure that it's something we will be keeping an eye on. It's expected to launch in 2017.

I wonder if the swappable parts can be made by different developers, the way the Nexus phones are done. If so, I'd like to see
- the L series battery from Tecno
- S7/iPhone 6 camera
- maybe even a camera from a camera brand, such as Nikon
- sensors from Huawei or LG

iTel phones are selling more to low income earners in Nigeria and the cheapest iTel phone offers more than the cheapest Tecno phone.
The FM radio of iTel is better with good audio and video for less than N5K.

Check out the New Tecno W4, The phone cost just 22k with a android marshmallow and other Great Features. These are signs to Show you that the Phone Company Means Business. The tecno L5/W4 /J5 are phones that tecno could ordinarily have sold for 14-17k if things were stable with our currency...!

I also remember that gionee and infinix also joined tecno in producing cheaper android phones 4 years ago...
Infinix note 3 is about 80k now on Jumia [Not sure tho] and nobody knows how much gionee m6 would be sold.. Probably over a 100k cos it's a beast!

About two years ago, I recommended Tecno phones as the most affordable phones for the poor masses, because with as little as N3000 you can buy the cheapest Tecno feature phone in the market. And Tecno phones were common among secondary school pupils. But many secondary school pupils in Nigeria now want smart phones with touchscreen. And I don't know if Tecno has any smart phone for N10, 000.

The most popular Tecno android smart phones among students in Nigeria are Tecno Phantom, Tecno Boom, Tecno Camon and Tecno L8.. And they are not cheap. Each one is more than the minimum wage in Nigeria.
