So can you state what the Igbos want? Please dont mention Biafra

If biafra shouldn't be mentioned then you don't want to hear what igbo wants. You just want to ask questions.

u are not well. At all

What he said is the truth. None of that would have happened if they man was smart enough to move his people back home rather than staying in a volatile state known to go on killing spree attacking any southern they see whenever their anger problem comes out.

My mother used to be a teacher in Kano state. She used to tell me how dangerous it is being a christian, Southern and most of all Igbo in that state. She once told us how she and several of the teachers in her school were chased for hours things thrown at them by kids Yong enough to be her children all because they were angry about sine BS. None of the northern adults even dared stop it, some even joined the children. My mother told us that was the first time she tried denying igbo because she taught claiming just delta would save her but that didn't help her. They chased all of them, throwing stones and other things at them. According to my mother, Kano wasn't just the place, when she requested to be moved to another state, she was sent to sokoto and she claimed, na the same thing for sokoto. You had to walk around in egg she'll if you're not a northern muslim. She quit after that and came home.

Honourhim, atleast you can bear firsthand witness to the Yoruba allegations pnce you gp contrary to Igbo wishes.

They termed me Yoruba, now they term you Yoruba. tongue

As for your writeup, sincerely, Ikwerres consider Igbos as being different from us. We even have a name for Igbos in our language. We have similarities and huge dissimilarities. We are neighbours and never brothers. Adios

The difference between you and him are immense.
You were caught red handed. Your name, image and inability to know anything about river state exposed hence you got termed what you really are aka yoruba

Honourhim on the other was accused based on just this post alone

You seriously seriously have zero shame in your life.

Never equate yourself in his level.
You two are not remotely in the same category
Now crawl back to wherever it is you were hiding at and wait for another opportunity to come out and do your shameful dance.

My brothers from the east celebrating this write up are indeed ignorant and are those that can never learn in their Lives.
I have heard many things about ndi Igbo greediness but when I look back into Nigeria history all I see is people from Northern Nigeria and from other tribes looting Nigeria dry but will be pointing the other hand at Ndi Igbo. Since 1967 to date how many igbo leaders has emerged leaders in this country..None, but where is Nigeria Today.. The propaganda is really working, If we are to blame the woes of Nigeria in PdP 16yrs of leadership, what about other years when it was the most righteous people in Nigeria was in Power.

Let me ask u a question? How many people from South east has been indicted in Dansuki saga, then calculate how many from North, West and South. But every hand is pointing at Ndi-igbo as those that are sponsoring corruption in this country, whereas No igbo man is corrupted.

Abacha looted this country dry in his regime, how many northerners has come to blame Abacha. Even ur president said Abacha never stole yet his looted funds are been return from year to year.

I won't tell u guys to stop, what I want to say is this. Buhari keeping Nnamdi Kanu in prison is a big shame to the people in South east, A very Big shame to us, it shows that we are nothing but cowards that will assume ourselves as our problem whereas our problem is controlling us .

When agitation for Biafra started last year, what event caused it. Was it not the illegal arrest of Nnamdi kanu that made many igbo youth to stage protest at streets and when his release was far off, it now resulted from state to state protest. But if u ask some people here they would tell u is because of Goodluck jonathan did not win election, who the hell is Goodluck when we all know he did nothing for ndi igbo.

I would tell u guys again, the nothern propaganda is really working. Tommorow armies might attack igbo people and call them rebels. Majority of those gotten by the propaganda would fully believe because they believe Buhari is a saint and never need to be questioned.

First there is no Igbo that agrees with the post. All you see are yoruba claiming igbo. amaechi1 is an example.

Secondly, thank you for the post. Also remember UK released the names of the most corrupt Nigerian politicians and last i checked, not one single igbo made the list. In addition, you forgot to mention Nnamdi Kanu hated GEJ and even urged people to stay home and not vote at all for either politicians during the last election.

All I see is a nation using igbo are their escape goat for every terrible sh1t they put themselves in and igbos are FED up with it. We rather be by ourselves. Let the saints enjoy their Nigeria by themselves. The f2k is their problem? I would think a nation which blames igbo for everything will rejoice when that set would wish to leave them by themselves, instead we see them gallivating

No wonder. So because the efuluefu is receiving crumbs from a northern state, he will now rope Ndiigbo into slavery.

When you see an Igbo chanting love for Buhari, APC , or Nigeria, look well, the motivation is usually selfish and greed driven.

You dey mind him. That's why I don't trust any Igbo politician. I rather listen to IPOB, Massob, or any of the Biafran agitator groups than listen to "igbo politicians". At least those ones have the people interest at heart while those "politicians" are greedy rats. Even ohaneze sold out and that's what hurts me the most. They are all useless

After I read this, my first thought was...the person must be a none igbo, no doubt.

So I researched him to see if the Nigga is real

1.) He's real
2.) He reside in Kano state
3.) He works for Kano state government
4.) He used to be special adviser to a past Kano state governor and now he's a special adviser of their internal blah blah to the current Kano state government

So in other words APC should try a little bit harder because this is beyond stale. I repeat APC you can call all Igbo in your payroll to rant rubbish....your president hated igbos...he's displayed it on multiple occasions and likewise we'll replicate that his hate.

Also him choosing igbo as his running mate isn't proof he likes igbo people. He tried to play igbo wayo like he did yoruba now. He thought igbo will vote for him because in the average northerners mind, he thinks igbo are like them that are desperate for power thus will vote "our son". What he learned is we won't vote a dullard with zero idea how to rule in just because " our son" is standing next to him.

Did the rest of the UK vote in the Scottish referendum?

Or was it only the Scots that voted?
Or does the rest of the UK not matter in their country's breakup?

Do you see how lame your analogy is?

The majority you keep emphasizing is NOT majority of Nigerians but rather the majority of the people in the region seeking to break away.

Are you confused? Yet you want to compare the Nigerian situation to the Scottish referendum (which was following an agreement between the Scottish and the United Kingdom governments (Biafra and ND remain dream republics)) and the EU referendum which was carried out as a result of the MAJORITY of Brits demanding for it? There is no such thing as a Biafran because it never existed as a country.

So Nigerians don't matter on issues of their country's break up cheesy? You guys are never serious and that's why your dream republic continues to evade you.

grin grin grin grin

Go and read how Eritrea and south Sudan referendum was conducted. You don't even have to go far...go and read how Cameroon referendum was conducted. There was agreement between Scottish and UK government for referendum to be administered afterall, similar to biafra and ND, Scottish indigenous had to protest, and fight before UK agreed to do as the people wish. So spare us your story telling

Secondly, why would the rest of Nigeria be involved in referendum about Biafra grin grin grin grin grin. Are the rest of Nigeria going to join Biafra? What sought of backwards thinking do you have? When Cameroon did their referendum did the rest of Nigeria vote with them? When midwest did a referendum to be carved out of western region. Did the rest of western nation vote with them? Infact let's do one closer....did the rest of countries in EU vote with British about staying or leaving EU? grin grin

I have always spoken for the aniomas, kwale and the rest as they are brothers. .The igbos have made you people see yourselves as inferior to them meanwhile it is the other way round .. You guys are the ones that are superior while they came from you all.. .You guys have history with us not igbos but if you wish to follow them no problem, we won't stop you...Here is a link of the prince of issele uku paying homage to the prince of Benin. ..Ask yourself why didnt he go to pay homage to one eze ndigbo in enugu or abia? Better know your true history. ..The ball is in your court, don't cry later sha

http://www.vanguardngr.com/2016/04/royal-solidarity-crown-prince-issele-uku-visits-benin-kingdom-prior-enthronement/

Again I'll repeat myself Anioma Shares NOTHING in common with you ijaw lots. NOTHING!!!!!!! I rather share a nation with isoko than ijaw, Bleep I rather share a nation with hausa than ijaw. You mofos are EXACTLY like fulani. You've attacked, killed and maimed any community that had the disadvantage of living next to una. You land grap any communities lands that allowed una to pack your boat next to their water. There has NEVER been ONE tribe Ijaws reside next to that you haven't or aren't currently fighting over lands. Even after the Mend militant palava, when the FG caved, name any of the ND communities that benefitted from the amnesty program other than ijaws...name one. As I said, u4hobo, isoko, iteskiri or whoever else that wants to be lord over by ijaws can follow una.....We aint. Keep us out of whatever ND republic rubbish you ijaw lots keep babbling about. While I'm at it, there's NOTHING that makes you or any of your clan people superior to igbo...that the biggest fact known to men. Neither have SE made us feel inferior.

Finally, paying homage to Benin king now translate to issele uku is denying igbo. Are you fucking brain dead? Several of Yoloba obas have paid homage to Benin kings, why don't you go and drag ethnicity with yolobas. Likewise the same thing for hausa emir that have yet again paid homage to benin kings. You goat. While I'm at it, incase you aren't aware...the man that started the movement of Anioma state to be carved out and put to SE is an Issele uku indigenous.

Finally since you want to drag ethnicity using kings..oya why don't we.

Asagba of Asaba....king of Asaba
The chairman of the lecture, Obi Edozien, re-emphasised this point: “we Igbo people are one. We must stop fighting over irrelevancies and emphasise the essential.”

This point arose out of the tendency among Igbo people to regard some groups as not “real” Igbos on basis of dialectal differences. It also exists in the form of clearly Igbo-speaking people with Igbo names and cultural patterns declaring themselves as “not Igbo” but ethnic minorities.

This is very rampant among Igbo groups in the South-South zone who believe that by so self-declaring publicly, they would be more acceptable among the real minorities and allowed to take their places as ethnic minorities.

Experience has, however, shown that this self-delusion hardly ever produces their desired results. Whenever the push comes to the shove, the real minorities remind them that they are Igbo people who are out to take what belongs to the minorities through the back door.

This phenomenon was evident in 2006 when former Governor Peter Odili of Rivers State (who loved to call himself a “Rivers man,” as if Rivers State is a tribe) was running for president. Ijaw leader, Chief Edwin Clark openly declared Odili an Igbo man, arguing that the South-South president that the minorities have been agitating for was not meant to go to “an Igbo man.”

Given this situation, there has been an increasing shift of paradigm. Many Igbo groups, especially in Delta State, have decided no longer to play the masquerade. The Obi of Asaba, Professor Edozien, actually laid out conditions he believes will cement Igbo unity permanently.

Obi Edozien then called on the people of the South-East zone to support the creation of Anioma State and another for Igbo-speaking people of Rivers State to make for seven states, all of which will be lumped together in one zone or region.

Obi of Ogwushi-uku [king of ogwashi]
"Ofili is not making an accurate statement although he is entitled to his views even when he is wrong. It is ridiculous for people who speak Igbo and who properly know their ancestral home to say they do not know their origin again or for another person to begin to give inaccurate facts," [/b]he told Saturday Independent in an interview.

"We have people in Anioma and theyform one-third of the population and that has also reflected on the number of local government areas it commands. [b]The entire Delta may not trace their origin to the East (Igbo) it is not contestable but the people of Anioma traced their origin from the East and there is nothing bad in joining Ohanaeze Ndigbo."

Uwechue said belonging to the Ohanaeze Ndigbo would promote unity among the people, rather than focus on divisive tendencies that will not do anyone any good.

"If we do not belong to the stock they will not have given us the president-general. It is because they know. Even the present president of Aka-Ikenga, the intellectual think-tank of Ndigbo, is from Delta and all this promotes unity and a sense of belonging. I am from Ogwashi-Uku and we know our origin. That we have Ijaw people in Delta State does not mean they do not know that they belong to Bayelsa State. Ohanaeze Ndigbo is the grand umbrella for all Igbo stock, for all that have the Igbo origin including those in the Diaspora, so our inclusion is not out of place.

"What the world needs now is unity and any umbrella that will ensure that it is promoted must be encouraged. But I know that there is a deliberate effort in some quarters to tear Ndigbo apart for fear of their solid demography, which is a political force that some are not comfortable with." --- [side note: this speaks of you dragonking2]

Uwechue said that identifying with your source does not make you an enemy of other people.

He added: "People like Dennis Osadebe clearly identified where we belong. And we know it, so it is not for anybody to come and re-write history. The issue is not subject to unnecessary debate because we are well informed to knowwhere we are coming from. Nobody is seeking for any relevance with the organisation because without (it) one is already relevant."

Obi of owa [king of owa in Ika north LGA]

Friday March 19

Two highly placed traditional Rulers inDelta State, the Asagba of Asaba, Professor J.C. Edozien CFR; JP., and the Obi of Owa in Ika North Local Government, Dr. E.O. Efeizomor II OON; JP., have stressed the need for Ndigbo, no matter the geopolitical location in which they are based, to be united in the quest for Ndi-Igbo to again become relevant in Nigeria in particular and the world in general.

Professor Edozien made the remarks when he granted audience to a delegation of IWA, ASA World, CISA and EIC.

The traditional Ruler, a former academician, who received the delegation with a retinue of his fully attired members of cabinet, said that although Asaba people were located in the south south geopolitical zone, “most of my subjects hail from Nteje in Oyi Local Government of Anambra State”.

Professor Edozien noted that "nothing could be achieved by Ndigbo unless unity prevailed among members of the ethnic group irrespective of the geopolitical zone in which they are based”.

He appealed to IWA to work assiduously to resolve the crisis in World Igbo Congress, WIC, and, thereafter "IWA, WIC, ASA World, CISA, EIC and other Ndi-Igbo associations in the diaspora should pool their resources together to uplift the welfare of Ndi-Igbo”.

The Asagba expressed delight over the efforts of IWA, ASA World, CISA and EIC to project, through the museum on Igbo Village to be opened on September 17, 2010 in Stanton , Virginia in the United States of America , the contributions of Ndi-Igbo to one of the major civilizations in modern history.

On his own part, the Obi of Owa in Ika North Local Government of Delta State, Dr. E.O. Efeizomor II OON; J.P., said that research had traced the origin of Ika people to the Nris of Anambra State.

Dr. Efeizomor II who has been on the throne for fifty years, said that what was significant about the research was that it was conducted by Ika intellectuals.

The traditional Ruler said that although the “Ikas were making spirited efforts to identify and relate with Ndi-Igbos in the South East geopolitical zone, the efforts were not being reciprocated, hence a few Ikas have reservations over their affinity with Ndi-Igbo”.

The Obi of Owa presented to members of the IWA delegation a book to buttress his assertion that Ikas were, according to him, “proud Ndi-Igbo of Nri ancestry”.

Dr. Efeizomor II said that the entire Ika traditional institution was happy to participate in the Igbo Day that was held in Owerri on September 29, 2009 adding that “Ika people look forward to joining our brothers and sisters in taking part in more Ndi-Igbo activities in future”.

The past Dein of Agbor before his half benin son took over and rewrote everything his father said
This is a quote from his book.

Here tradition tells us that Ogele or Ogene was the patriarch of our ancestors; but whence he came from we do not know for certain. Even the Benin, who claim him as their own, confess to the mystry of his exact association with them. Better to know the man from his deeds among us, as I have recounted. We believe that early Agbors have some cultural affinity with the East Niger—Igbo people, and that the Edo people as neighbors of Agbor

Language: Agbor spoke the ika dialect akin to other Igbo tongues, but the special vehile of the ika culture end image. It is distinct and dissimilar from Edo language and vice versa, even though some say that Agbor was once under the Oba’s rule. This was so because Benin was the first to acquire firearms from the Portuguese, and with which they terrorized the neighboring states. But this state of affairs lasted for only a short: Agbor liberated themselves before the 18th century. “Oru asuw Igbo; Igbo asuw Ika”: Agbor appears to be the credits of the Ika dialect and the citadel of Igbo heroes.

Chief A.G.Idwue
Dein of Agbor
Agbor-Obi 1979

Unfortunately the obi of idumuje unor book can't be found online so I can't get you quotes or snap chat of it so I'll just suggest it. Read:
Anioma: Resolving the Identity Crisis by Obi Charles Anyasi of Idumuje unor (obi of idumuje unor)..king of idumuje unor. In that book he spoke of Igbo being his people identity, not Bini

Obi of ibusa have never spoken before but here's a snapshot of an article from one of his relatives..in this case [ royal family of the ibusa]
In 1999, Mr. Peter Okocha { from Ibusa} contributed financially and campaigned vigorously for the OBJ/ Atiku ticket. In 2003, as a PDP party loyalist, he did exactly the same, supporting the duo. There was an unwritten agreement that after James Ibori, the governorship would be zoned to the Delta Igbo senatorial district. All eyes were on Peter Okocha who belonged to the Atiku camp to clinch that ticket.

Thus when the war of ‘attrition’ between OBJ and his Deputy started, Peter Okocha, rather than following the much hackneyed principles that in politics, there is no permanent friend but permanent interest, remained loyal to Atiku. That, became his undoing. He probably thought he was still doing business. So, OBJ mobilized the state apparatus to make sure that he did not clinch the ticket. Okocha decided to go under AC to contest. Prof. Maurice Iwu’s INEC did another abracadabra on him. He was ‘disqualified’. His case is still pending in the electoral appeal court- to be determined by only God knows when, by a seemingly compromised section of the judiciary.

Chief Ibori, who benefited from Peter Okocha’s electoral largesse and support throughout his stay as governor, did a u-turn and stabbed Okocha on the back. Overnight before the 2007 charade called election, a decision was taken that the PDP governorship race should be zoned to the other senatorial district while Delta Igbos were to make do with state Chairman of the party. That was how Mr. Peter Nwaoboshi became the state PDP Chairman. The Urhobos, Itsekiris, Izons, Ijaws, and Isokos, aptly supported by OBJ, ganged up and executed that coup against us. They rounded it up with the puerile logic that since we have the state capital, we should not produce the next governor.

Again in the 2007 election, as a prelude to that charade, Prof. Pat Utomi { from Ibusa}, whose wife is from the East, went to OHANAEZE to solicit for support for his presidential ambition. Chief Orji Uzor Kalu also went to solicit for his too. A section of OHANAEZE that rejected Pat Utomi, gave me a terrible food for thought. One of them, according to some daily Nigerian newspapers’ reports, hankered abject adroitly : “Is he really a proper Igbo man? Look at him, he cannot even speak Igbo properly.” Others even insinuated that his name did not sound Igbo. I was shocked to the bone marrow. I couldn’t believe what I was reading from prominent Igbo citizens.

Instead of asking the two candidates to present their programmes and manifestoes, they were busy hankering on whether one of them is a “proper Igbo” or not. I was shocked of words. If any Igbo person does not know the meaning of Utomi, then that person should take a suicidal dive into the river Niger.

I guess some Igbos will ask of the true meaning of my surname – ADINLOFU. An Igbo man ones asked me in London whether I am a Yoruba man, that my surname looks like one. I just laughed { even though my spouse is Yoruba} and politely asked the man to pronounce my name. He ended up pronouncing it with all the Igbo-ness and accent which goes with it. While he was slowly pronouncing it, the meaning was unfolding before his eyes. He simply laughed and laughed himself to scorn.

Besides, it is a historical fact writes Emma Okocha of Izu-Anioma, that when Ojukwu even declared the Biafran Republic, he never had us in mind. Ojukwu’s Biafran and its boundary ended at Onitsha, living his kiths and kin – Midwestern Igbos – to their destiny. And yet during that pogrom of 1966, most Delta Igbo officers ran, not to Mid -West or to the West but to their kiths and kin in the East. The Chief of Biafran Navy, the late Captain W. A. Anuku, was from Agbor.

Ojukwu went further to choose Col. Banjo against the overwhelming preference of Nzeogwu {a then Mid-Western Igbo officer}, to lead that tactical assault on Midwest and on to Lagos. Most writers call it tactical because, the choice of Banjo and his subsequent antics {Read WHY WE STRUCK 1983 by Ademoyega} changed and swung the war to the advantage of the Federal troops. In that assault, Col. Banjo, who was then assisted by Lt. Col Igboba { from Ibusa}, got his assistant locked up in Benin prison over disagreements on tactics and the way and manner the invasion was being compromised.

However, while the Biafran soldiers were retreating from the Federal counter attack, Banjo, Ademoyega, and coy deliberately left Lt. Col Igboba behind at the Benin prisons only for the invading ‘British troops’ called Federal forces under the command of Lt. Col. Murtala Muhammed to stroll casually into Benin prison, locate Igboba and had him beheaded. That was the same Igboba who helped General Ironsi to quell Nzeogwu’s coup in Lagos.

Even in their genuine demand for more Igbo states, the East never count the Igbos in Delta state as worthy. Their request ought to always incorporate the demand of our people for the creation of Anioma State out of the present amorphous Delta State. After all, it will still be another seemingly full fledged Igbo State. However, I still remembered quite vividly that the late Dr. Chuba Okadigbo ones in while, had requested that the Igbos of Delta State should be given appropriate hearing in their quest for Anioma State which would have extricated and freed us from the strangle-hold of the Urhobos. But that was a lone support in the wilderness.

There is a need for the Igbos in the East to reach out to their brothers and sisters across the river Niger. This is not to say that we cannot stand on our own. The point here is that there is strength in number-“Igwe-buike”. The Igbos in the East should always seize the initiative because of their strength. They should make it their statutory duty to come to us and embrace us.

They are our fathers and, like most migration theories have confirmed about the origin of most of these communities, we are their children. We may not be business inclined like them because we are not cut out for such but we are educated and are good civil servants. Our word in most cases is always our bond. Our people are sincere to a fault and are prepared to fight with anybody for a just and sincere cause in as much as you don’t cunningly backslide or sabotage the cause. The causes that Major Nzeogwu, Pat Utomi, Col Tim Onwuatuegwu, Dr. Okonjo-Iweala, Col.Nwanwo, Col. Achuzia had fought and still fighting for, is a testimony to our strength and character.

In fact to reinforce this view, I want OHANAEZE to move forthwith, their headquarters to either Asaba, Ibusa, or Ogwashi-Ukwu. I believed that the closer you are to us the better. Let us have a sense of belonging. By this invitation, I am not saying you should now come and colonise us. I am saying that we should relate and that there should be a strong cultural affinity and rapport.

Anybody in the Igbo culture area of Delta state who is in doubt about his or her Igbo historical connection, should contact Prof. Nolue Emenanjo, Executive-Director, National Institute Of Nigerian Languages, Aba, for more explanation and Professor Okoh, UNIBEN. The late intellectually versatile Prof. M. A Onwuejeogwu, another Igbo encyclopedist, who was from Ogboli-Ibusa, and founder of the Nri Museum, should have been another contact but for his death.

As I said before Keep us OUT of your igbo hating rubbish you Ijaw touts are fond of. We have NOTHING in common with you people. Just because there's disagreements and deniers within our community does not in any way give una the right to become our voice. It also does not make you people our relatives nor do we have anything in common. Never look our way ever again cause we aren't like the rest of delta south that allow una to walk all over them. We aren't like SE that will allow una to speak anyhow..we will get down and dirty with you inferior lots. So f2k off with using us as your shield. Ndi ara

Well, all I know is that the entire Anioma and vast number of Delta North are Igbos, though some of them live in self denial based on negative influences from their neighbouring minor tribes. Their Igbos are even more understandable and very clear compare to some Igbo dialect in South East. Let's take for instance the Abakaliki dialect. An Abakaliki man speaks and understands the original Igbo clearly but other Igbos neither speak nor understand Abakaliki when they speak.

I think the prince is a misguided fellow. Look at his name alone speaking for him.

Anyway, I blame the people that carved them out of South East. Most of them know the truth. Their anger is mostly based on the refusal to create the Anioma State. All Aniocha, Oshimili, Asaba - All Anioma and Ikwerre lands are all Igboland. In fact, the first Igbo Pan was held in Anioma in 1908

Wish the Agitation for the State of Biafra could be successful. You will know they really know themselves. General Kaduna Nzeogu, an Anioma man is one of the major reasons for Agitation For the Biafran State, hence the hatred against the Igbos nationwide. The Aniomas and Ikwerres were carved out of the South East in 1976 to frustrate the Struggle for the Biafran State.

The South East together with Cross Rivers can still restore and make the Bight Of Biafra the envy of other nations in Africa.

The South East forsee that Islamising the Nigerian in many years time is inevitable. That's one the reasons they keep striving for the Biafran State, but most ND tribes refuse to see this and think the Igbos would over power and rule over them. That's what there are meant to belief anyway

What is this You want me to believe what one person wrote on a forum? I can as well post something on another forum and bring it here to prove that igbo land belongs to niger delta... undecided .. Oga, when referendum comes, na this chat link you go provide give government? Please do better..I am waiting for that proof and not word of mouth or single chat by a deluded person.

You have to be the slowest person on earth if you doubt Oyigbo was carved out of Abia State. This is a well known history and documented. Even the community in question talks about it.

This is an article written by Ndaa Isaac, who btw is an Oyigbo indigenous

HOW THEY DIVIDED US AND PITCHED US AGAINST ONE ANOTHER:

The slicing off of some Igbo communities out of core Igbo states and merger to other states was a plot to weaken the Igbo's. Here are some examples:

. The area of Ndoki south covering the present Oyigbo (originally Obigbo) transferred from the old Aba division and lumped to Rivers State in 1976. Also, in the 1980s, three Ndoki villages namely Ohaobu, Mkpukpuaja and Ogbuagu villages carved from the then Imo State and lumped to Etim-Ekpo LGA of Akwa Ibom State. It is noteworthy to state that Oyigbo LGA apart from Oloibiri was the first place in Nigeria to produce oil and gas in commercial quantities (at Afam). Unlike Oloibiri which has dried-up since the 1980s, Afam and other Oyigbo oil-fields keep yielding vast quantities of petroleum.

2. Egbema communities now in Rivers State: Egbema has 16 villages and out of these 16 villages , 3 namely Mgbede, Aggah and Okwuzi has the largest reserves of oil and gas in the community. This is apparently the reason they were lumped to Rivers while the other 13 villages were left in Imo State where they had to contend with more modest reserves of the commodity.

It is important to note that this “punishment” at least as perceived by many Igbos did not end up with the eastern Igbo people. The Aniomas or Western Igbos had to loose Ndoni area to Rivers State and Osekwenike-Onyah area to Sagbama area of Bayelsa State. Just like the other examples I gave , all of these areas are oil-producing. It is often claimed that the Nigerian Civil war was a war fought over oil and gas and the actions of the federal government just like these examples seems to suggest that the federal government had intended to give a tag of non-oil producing to Igbo areas including Anioma. While it is interesting to note that parts of Igbo land has been excised and lumped to other states, a good part of Itsekiri land embracing what is defined as Ugbege area was lumped to Ondo State; A state where Itsekiri people are not indigenous. This is one just an example of the double standards in Nigeria. A common song by Peter Tosh , which has one of its iconic lyrics “Everyone is crying out for peace but no one for justice” brings to the fore what I am trying to pass across. My support for the renewed Biafra struggle is for justice which the Igbo race has been crying for in Nigeria, another good example of such is the continued call for the unconditional release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu who is the leader of the Indigenous people of Biafra.

For those 'efulefus' who quote Prof Chinua Achebe’s book “There was a Country” out of context saying it has put to rest any country called Biafra. Yes, There was indeed a country called “Biafra”. However, they should also remember that Col Emeka Odimegwu Ojukwu talked on a “Biafra of the Mind”. This “Biafra of the Mind” has different dimensions to it. Biafra is a part of the history of Nigeria and there is no way we can forget about it collectively as Nigerians and more importantly as Igbos. Therefore, anyone in whatever guise declaring that “Biafra died permanently in 1970 with the surrender speech made by Philip Effiong” is being comical. In the United States of America, people freely talk about the Confederate States of Southern USA and the old Confederate flag is embedded in the state flags of many Southern States because it is deemed as a part of their heritage. Telling Igbos and other Nigerians who suffered a lot to pretend that no Biafra of the Mind exists is a sheer display of wickedness and irresponsibility. There is nothing to ever stop a war which led to the death of one-seventh of the Igbo people and left much of Anioma land in present day Delta state decimated.

Anyone who claims that a “few resentful people of South-East origin” are the ones behind the the Biafran agitation is living in self denial. We have seen some pictures of the IPOB protests across the world and such pictures do not seem to suggest that the protests were the handiwork of a “few resentful people”. It seems to demonstrate a mass movement among the youths of the South-east region in particular and areas of the South-south as well. So, the idea of trying to separate the South from Biafra is laughable.

In the 1960s when the Biafra war was fought, the areas that make up south south today were drawn to it. The reason is not far-fetched; the war was perceived as a rebellion of Igbos and for example, the Aniomas in Delta being western Igbos were involved. This is not a peculiar case. From Rwanda, Burundi and the Democratic Republic of Congo were drawn into the conflicts between the Hutu and Tutsi. This is sadly a feature of ethnic politics which manifests at times as war in Africa. Gen Obasanjo who was a major actor in the Nigerian Civil war and former president, did not hide his understanding that Aniomas are Igbos. In his Niger Delta Special Development Initiative of 2005, he had Imo, Abia and Anioma area of Delta removed as beneficiaries. Yet he had Ondo and its rocky capital city of Akure included as “part of the Niger Delta”.

Whatever map the IPOB is presenting today as the map of Biafra is in tandem with international laws. It was the case with South Sudan. In the original proposal Southern Blue, Abyei and Nuba were proposed and this was adopted in the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA) of Sudan and South Sudan. Abyei was to decide after a referendum while Southern Blue Nile and Nuba would decide after popular consultation. Claiming that the “expansiveness of Biafra” has anything to do with oil is ridiculous. Firstly the price of oil has crashed significantly and there is nothing to suggest that in future, oil will be “black gold” it used to be.

Besides the southeast region even with the exclusion of the areas annexed and lumped to Rivers has some reserves of the commodity. But anyone who thinks that the future of Biafra , the larger Igbo race or Africa lies in oil or other commodities has serious issues. The main driver of development is human capital no less no more. Igbos has this factor perhaps more than any other group in Nigeria.

The Western Igbos which includes the people of Anioma in Delta are scattered not just in Delta but also in parts of Edo, Rivers and even Bayelsa State so, Bringing the issue of a South-south is inconsequential. There is nothing like that in the constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria. Based on International law, people should be at liberty to decide ultimately where they should belong. Sadly, Nigeria has failed to restructure (based on ethnic groups) and create regions recognized by law just like what was done in India by its first Prime Minister, Nehru.

In the memoirs of Chief Dennis Osadebay who hails from Anioma in the present day Delta state, he was full of praises for Chief Michael Okpara for all the support rendered to the Midwest regional movement which led to the creation of the new region in 1963 and enthronement of the NCNC in 1964. It is also well-known that many Aniomas were members of the defunct Igbo State Movement which cemented the ethnic bounds of all Igbos, west and east of the Niger. There were even agitations to carve out the old Asaba and Aboh divisions and have them merged with the East with the likes of Rev SW Martin of Issele Uku as the main driver of the proposal.

Finally, to further expose the divide and rule tactics, here is a letter written by community leaders of the Ika East area comprising of Umunede, Igbodo, Otolokpo, Mbiri, Ute-Ogbeje and Akumazi to Chief Chukwuemeka Odimegwu Ojukwu and goes as thus: ' '' We the undersigned, on behalf of the people of Umunede clan,Igbodo clan,Akwumazi clan,Mbiri clan and Ute-Ugbeje clan in Ika Division,Midwest take this opportunity to express our deep gratitude on the historic liberation of the Midwest and wish you God's guidance. We equally take this opportunity to congratulate His Excellency Major A.O Okonkwo on his appointment as the Military Administrator of the Midwest and pledge our unalloyed support and loyalty to his government. Although we the above 5 clans in Umunede zone have already donated sums of money and foodstuff towards win the war funds on individual clans,we jointly donate herewith the sum of 105 pounds to win the war. WE FERVENTLY PRAY FOR GOD'S HELP THAT WE CRUSH THE ENEMY.While thanking you for what you have already achieved-liberation of Midwest-we wish to place here on record that it will be your guide while deliberating on any future association, our feelings should be put into utmost consideration'' '' Signatories to this September 1967 letter to Ojukwu include: HRH Obi N Gbenoba; Obi of Umunede.HRH A.O Iyeke;Obi of Igbodo,Obi S.C Osagie; Obi of Akwumazi,HRH Obi Ogana; Obi of Mbiri and Regent I Alekwe,Regent of Mbiri. Also signatory to that letter are political leaders including Chief S.O.Osuhor, Chief Z.C Egbuchinem, Chief L.O.C Azikiwe,Chief Odiase,Chief E O Nwabueze, Madam Julie Onyeagwu and Mr B.O Okoh. BIAFRA IS NOT ABOUT OIL BUT ONE NIGERIA IS

If you don't want to listen to Ndaa, here's another article when the Oyigbo were asking to be sent back to Abia State due to marginalization in River state

Lagos — Complaints of marginalisation have resurrected an age-old agitation by the people of Oyigbo local government in Rivers State for a merger with their kith and kin in Abia State.

There is a grounds- well of discontent and agitation in Oyigbo local government area of Rivers State. The people are seriously complaining of marginalisation in the affairs of the state and now want to go back to Abia State from where they were carved out in 1976. Oyigbo local government was merged with Rivers State following federal government's acceptance of the report of the Justice Mamman Nasir boundary adjustment commission. Besides, they insist that they are Igbo and would be better catered for in a predominant Igbo territory.

If you don't want to listen to the community people...oya here is book snap shot of the history

PICK up a boom and stop displaying your ignorance all over NL. It's sad and pathetic

It was carved out of Abia, not imo.

Now, let me school you. Egbema LGA area had 16 territories. 13 of it is in Imo state while the remaining 3 , which was loaded with oil, was forcefully carved out of Imo state by Justice Nasir in 1976 by a platform set up by your blother, Obasanjo. So you trying to say imo state carved out 13 of Rivers territory without rivers fighting it and yet the community in question aka Egbema LGA aren't asking to be returned back to River state, instead they are asking to be returned back to imo state. You are dumb.

Which archives do you speak of? I QUADRUPLE DARE you to provide that archives. While I wait on it, I provide you with this delightful reads

Mostly because SE igbos are always fighting to put a stop in the injuatice of our people. SS, on the other hand, too docile. Now ever since I see that SS is fighting back. I'm proud as Bleep to say "I'm SS. I'm igbo". Very proud y'all don't even know it. Eother way, whether SS or SE gets am, my wish for my people to separate from a set of people I think say na problem will become reality.

During the winter you get lighter while in the summer you get darker. Those in European nations tend to be lighter than those in Africa because of the changing weather.

In Nigeria the weather is Summer 24/7 thus a lighter person will tan in there due to the hot sun and weather.

There is nothing wrong in asking for a probe into the allocation of crude oil blocs. Such exercise will reveal the real owners of the oil blocs and the manner they were awarded. It is therefore rather preposterous to descend to name-calling just to belittle any effort that will help stamp out corruption in the O&G industry.

The article stated the senator Ita statement as untrue but it neither provided anything to back it self up. It made that statement and then went to discuss about oil business then provided the list.

My question to you is "did you even grasp what you read?"

I can write now that the statement that Nigerians are black is untrue and then go ahead and start talking about the history of Africa and the creation of Nigeria. Now does that make my statement "Nigeria are black is untrue" as something I've disproven?
Chimooooooooo are you a northern? I refuse to believe a southern, even SW, are this dumb
