Stanbic is giving PTA at the moment. You need to have applied at least 2 weeks in advance. They will always tell you no cash but you need to be persistent.

They are giving based on travel dates, so if you are travelling today or tomorrow, they will attend to you. I'm travelling on Sunday so I was treated like someone travelling tomorrow since they won't be open over the weekend. Ask to speak to either Femi or Kemi. Even if they ask you to go, just wait there. You will get.

Best of luck.

Hi guys @FinanceFitness @ IjayMama did you try to get a medical report/fit to fly from GCH? Did they ask you to pay?

FinanceFitness:
Hmm - I've used GCH twice for antenatal and I must say they've gotten proggressively worse. With my first, I had a scare at 24 weeks (after waiting for 4yrs o), went to George's in Lekki (which was the hospital I was using)... I was leaking so we just assumed it was amniotic fluid. George's hospital said they won't do a scan to check till Monday, that they won't even have an obstetrician examine me as they are usually unable to do anything is this kind of case. My hubby was so angry and asked for medical report and we moved immediately to GCH. That night, the GPs were amazing - they did detailed scan, confirmed they couldn't see any signs of leakage, admitted me immediately, monitored baby, myself, placed me on antibiotics. The obstetrician came in the following morning and checked me and monitored me for about a week the I was released. It was such a pleasant experience. As it was my first, I was scared and practically got scanned at each visit - they understood my fears and helped calm me.

Fast forward to my second pregnancy - they have now gotten so busy that you may have to wait hours to get checked in at the front desk and many more before you can see the doctor. Then to post your lab and scan and results on their system was also a problem. Imagine doing anomaly scan and it not getting recorded.

I just went there for post delivery check up - I waited 2 hrs before they even started attending to us despite going as scheduled.

On pediatrician, why not try lifeline in phase 1, since they only handle children?

Thanks a lot! Will check them out.

A couple of folks have birthed in Boston and all said prices were high but they had free accommodation, etc. Search for posts from Busyonkwe, Bisoye82, jayjay4lyf. Also try typing Boston in the search field at the top of the page you'll find their reviews

Please oh, newbie to this thread.

Has anyone given birth or intends to give birth in Boston? Looking for hospital/doc recommendations and cost estimates.

Also, I already have a visa which I renewed last year before I got pregnant. Haven't travelled since I renewed. Do I need to send a change of intent letter?

Lastly, everyone seems to travel with some kind of cash, I usually prefer not to and rely on making payments with my debit card (it's a UK card) will I have a problem convincing the POE officer of my means of payment?
