Peace!!! Bros it's time to experience it real time, these questions you will answer them yourself....on the last count I have close to 5 ladies already on this track, even doing better than the result I posted here. I will want them to come round and post pictures. 3 Likes |

The concept is to have many small organic farmers selling their products with a unique brand name...theirs organic chicken for sale, how many do you want to buy. jjman2322: Do you sell these chickens? I've been trying to get a good source of organic chickens to eat..

Shemkaz09: Any Organic treatment of Fowl pox? The best way to enjoy organic broilers production is to start from day old. This way the immune system is fully developed and you dont have any issues with diseases. Meanwhile I recommend the conventional approach of treatment to help the chicken scale through the disease, then you can revert to organic. If you go through the thread you find a very good organic method to adopt. 3 Likes 2 Shares |

Does that happen with maturity or you made some changes to the feed?...added or stopped using something? They eventually turn up with feathers. I think it's down to their age now. 3 Likes |

marcodene2m: A very big welldone to the gurus in d house. I noticed some undigested feed in my broiler droppings. Pls is it normal? If not, what can I do? Thanks in advance. When chicken are very young, they have very poor digestive system.. So most of their feeds wont digest. But as they grow older the system improves. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Sir how many BAGS so far They are on the eight bags now... I was experimenting with brewer waste to augment their feeds...it was causing diarrhea so I stopped after the fourth day. One beautiful thing about organic is that, they can withstand a lot of stress...I kept their litters longer than usual to see the effects on their health, they were just growing stronger everyday. 1 Like |

knoxx: Following ur threads has opened my eyes to a lot on organic farming. I did a reading on the use of neem leaves on soil sterilization and fertilization. Reason was an outbreak on our school farm. The soil is quite rich but i think contaminated by now. Can you pls shed more light on the solution to correcting all anomalies in the soil without using chemicals sir. We are planning to plant tomatoes and pepper and cucumbers next week using sacks on the school balcony You can sterilize the soil by heating. .. It does take a lot of efforts though. Now that the sun intensity is high, you can cover the soil with transparent nylon for at least two months.. . The heat generated and trapped will sterilized the soil. You can also spread fresh manure on the soil.. Brewer waste and chicken manure can reach very high temprature during the process of decomposition hence can effectively sterilize the soil. Also you can drench the soil with water rich in emulsified neem solution. Beneficial microbes like lacto bacillus and trichodemia Viride can be used to colonize the soil and knock off disease causing pathogen in the soil. 2 Likes 1 Share |

marcodene2m: GM. Pls can someone help me. I watched one of my broiler struggled to death dis morning. They are 4w3day(1.2kg average) today. Below is d colour of their poo I think the sudden death syndrome is what you have just experienced. The chicken poo are ok...The first picture is usually expelled when stressed and/or after 10 poo. The second poo with white stain is sign of good health from within. You can read the thread and see what you can do organically to enhance their immune system. The beauty of organic production is to grow very healthy broilers inside out that can withstand diseases. When you give them Ginger, Garlic, (Tagiri Super a special product from me that has been fortified with Amino acid, LAB and fermented milk), Lacto bacillus and Special fruits Juice.... You can't go wrong lailai...Your chicks won't die of any diseases. 2 Likes 1 Share |

bigomoh: my broliers are 4weeks old and after i saw one of my birds develop a disjointed beak yesterday, i became worried, though he was active yesterday only for it to become docile today out of the group.
I decided to squeeze bitter leaf into their water to see whether things will pick up, and i intend going organic from here on in. Please i need advice to make sure im doing the right thing.
Most defects will come up at 4 weeks...usually it's during formation and hatching stage...also a function of the parent stock. 1 Like |

Originalsly: @Organic. ... not interested in raising chickens... but this thread was sooo interesting and educative. The others that ehmmm..... came out of the woodwork to share their knowledge and experiences is what made this thread so much more than what you set out to do. Even you sef never knew about Noilers and are now interested!..did I know?..hell no!..was wondering why on earth they kept misspelling broilers! I have been sharing the knowledge I've gathered here with a few people I know that rear chickens. This thread is wayyyy more far reaching that you ever imagined...so inspiring. .. and has already encouraged others to follow in your footsteps. To those who don't know...organic is the way to go.... if your meat or fruits is organic... the price doesn't matter... organic foods are wayyy more expensive than non organic foods and is in great demand.... demand is more than supply. The one bad thing about this thread... in fact the one terrible thing about this thread... is the op let us watch these chicks grow and in the end .... he killed just one.. cooked it in front of our eyes and shove the bowl of stew in our face while we sit helplessly salivating while stretching our imagination on how juicy and tasty the meat is! Nawa 4 u!.... let me go get a mop to mop up my pool of drool.
Interesting!Hahaha Na continuation of the experiment I take the chicken do... See as you dey beef my tommy experiment! 5 Likes |

chrisj2: Is this a Biology class or something else - funny! It is also like an autopsy - weighing the vital organs and looking into the gizzard and all that...
You are indeed being scientific about your experience but this is good advertisement for you - it would be if you were selling online or supplying to good supermarkets.
There are programmes like this in the UK -trying to connect people to where their food comes from. Organic food items are more expensive and desirable to more and more people that can afford them and those that are fed up of the chemically induced food...
I really like your style - even the cooking is not deep fried as most nja people like to cook chicken. ![kiss](https://www.nairaland.com/faces/kiss.gif)
