Religion / 100+ Christmas Songs To Download This December-download Here by Otyemmanuel(m): 2:44pm On Dec 20, 2019
Christmas Songs To Download This December…Christmas period is a time to bond, merry and engage in activities with family members. Doing this without some sensational Christmas songs will be very boring. We have compiled over 100 great Christmas songs for your download. Download here and listen.

Here are the top Christmas songs in no particular. Download for your listening pressure.

John Fahey- The First Noel
Tired from the fact that nobody was willing to buy albums of experimental American primitive guitar music but they bought White Christmas every year, John Fahey recorded an album of Christmas instrumentals. It was, by a margin, his bestselling record. A typical of his work, but beautiful.

The Sonics- Don’t Believe in Christmas
The Sonics believe that some folks liked the taste of straight strychnine, , so of course they didn’t believe in Christmas. What happened when they stayed up late to try to catch a glimpse of Santa? “Well, sure enough, don’t ya know / The fat boy didn’t show.” Cheeky so-and-sos.

Emmy the great & Tim Wheeler-Christmas Day (I Wish I Was Surfing)
With a much more sound similar to Ash than Emmy the Great-and the loudest, most raucous thing on their 2011 Christmas album – this is a song that sounds joyous, but is really about the desire to escape, to anywhere that isn’t cold. So long as it’s not alone.

Little Joey Farr- Rock’n’Roll Christmas
This song- Rock’n’Roll and rockability are a treasure troove of christmas novelty nimbers (give a try to (try Marlene Paula’s I Want To Spend Xmas with Elvis) but there is only room for one which we got. So, given Christmas is all about the kids, bless their souls, let’s have a song by an actual kid who promptly disappeared from the pop world.

Lou Rawls- Santa Claus Is Comin’ to Town
Right from when i was a kid, this song has always been the de la creme of christmas songs. One imagines this would be the soundtrack to Don Draper’s Christmas – as creamy as eggnog, with a supple swing that’s nagging but not unobtrusive, it’s exactly the sound of an idealised Christmas from the 60s. Rawls made a ton of Christmas albums, but his first from 1967 is the best.

Ronnie James Dio, Tony Iommi, Rudy Sarzo & Simon Wright- God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen
Think of Black Sabbath- Think of how chritmas will sound reimagined by it. The most oddly foreboding of all the big Christmas songs suits the grinding and roaring. And it helps, naturally, that it contains a reference to “Satan’s power”.

Saint Etienne- I was born on Christmas Day
A song as sweet as a selection box. From fire and brimstone to prosecco and chocolate, bursting with optimism for the winter: “Getting groovy after Halloween / Mid-November, got back on the scene / I’m so glad that I just got my pay / I was born on Christmas Day!”

The Free Design- Close Your mouth (It’s Christmas)
“Get to know the people in your house,” they sing. “You might like them.” Draper knocks back a whisky, raises an eyebrow and shakes his head. Probably the song that goes on in Don Draper’s apartment after Lou Rawls, when the hip young kids have arrived.

Sally Shapiro- Anorak Christmas
Another beautiful Christmas piece. Sally falls in love on a Tuesday before Christmas, “at a gig with a band that we both liked”. A gorgeous bauble from the mid-00s wave of Scandinavian music that crossed electropop with the feyest indie.

Solomon Burke-Present for Christmas
Acclaim king of rock’n’soul pitches himself somewhere between a revivalist preacher and Santa Claus: “We want to give out a present to everybody this Christmas! All around the world for every man, woman, boy and girl!” he exclaims in the intro.

Joy Zipper- Christmas Song
Here comes a chritmas piece from the duo briefly toasted at the start of the last decade. Kevin Shields and David Holmes produced, and you can bet Beach House were listening. Go download it and Listen to it.

Neil Halstead- The man in the Santa Suit
Trully speaking, this particlar version is only here because the fountain of Wayne original – an homage to the Kinks’ Father Christmas – isn’t on Spotify. But what a perfect, sad song: “And he’s a big red cherry / But it’s hard to be merry / When the kids are all laughing / Saying: ‘Hey, it’s Jerry Garcia.’”

The Everly brother- Christmas Can Kill You
The Man in the Santa Suit is a laughfest compared to this Everly Brothers number from 1972, about a hitcher alone the night before Christmas.

Santo & Johnny- Twistin’ Bells
Do we need cheering up? I think we do. Thank goodness, then, for the twangy guitars of Brooklyn duo Santo & Johnny, the gaudy, overlit shop window that contrasts with the stark loneliness of the Everly Brothers.

Run-DMC: Christmas in Hollis
When it comes to good Christmas songs, Hip-Hop hasn’t been a huge source of Christmas songs, but Run-DMC was on top of it back in the first golden age. What would you do if you found Santa’s wallet on Hollis Avenue?

Webmasters / Re: Should I Continue Blogging? by Otyemmanuel(m): 7:54am On Nov 04, 2019
Solacemk:
Hi my fellow Nairalanders. I need urgent advice from you.

I started a blog last 2 months, i applied for AdSense and got approval, i started posting ads this October, to my surprise i just earned $3 for the whole month, pls does it make any sense? And will it improve? And is it ok to start with $3? My hosting is expiring soon coz it's not annual subscription. I'm thinking of quiting. Please advise me. thank you all.

You most definitely have a mental problem! Who ever gets to the top without trails and persistence. I've been blogging for two years and the first 18 months of my blogging career i can swear on my life that i never made a dime. But today i can comfortably boast of 800- 1200 USD every month. It's small but compare that to what an average civil servant in Nigeria earns! Truth be told blogging is tough and never blog for adsense. Find other creative ways to make money from your blog. Sorry if i've insulted you the way i started, It's meant to make you sit up.!

Career / Re: Why Masturbation Can Destroy Your Career by Otyemmanuel(m): 5:23pm On Sep 18, 2019
LegendHero:
Nigerians and all their rubbish theory. Masturbation has been one of the oldest personal satisfaction method ever known to mankind.

Masturbation has nothing to do with success or failure, it's all in your head bro. We have learnt to project bad influences of masturbation without trying to mention the good sides also.

I have been masturbating since 2010, and I know of guys that have been doing it before then and we are all successful. Masturbation is not drug or bad thing, it is personal satisfaction, if God never plan it for man to masturbate why did he made it easy to cum all by yourself?

It is God's plan and please stop writing distorted facts to discourage people Mr. OP.

Let me sk you a question. Can you masturbate without porn? Masturbation leads to porn addiction. Searching for porn on the net is time wastage which would have been used to do something productive. As a recovering Porn addict who have been addicted for over 8years i can emphatically say that masturbation and porn addiction leaves you empty and mentally drain. My advise seek a psychologist. Religion is not even the answer. OP is 99.9% Correct.

Education / OSPOLY Iree Shut Indefinitely After Students Set School Clinic Ablaze by Otyemmanuel(m): 5:17pm On Jun 03, 2019
Osun State Polytechnic, Iree has been shut indefinitely as students staged a violent protest over the death of a colleague after he slumped in the examination hall on Friday. The protesting students who stormed the school’s health centre on Saturday morning set the school clinic and medical equipment ablaze.

It was learnt that one Aminu Hammed, a Higher National Diploma student of the institution’s Department of Applied Chemistry, slumped in the examination hall on Friday, May 31, and was rushed to the school clinic, where he later died.

The protesting students, who stormed the clinic on Saturday morning, alleged that there was no medical personnel at the clinic to attend to Hammed when he was rushed to the clinic.

During the protest, the school’s ambulance, drugs and equipment in the clinic were set ablaze by the students.

To curb further breakdown of law and order on campus, the school management ordered the indefinite closure of the school, asking all students to vacate the premises with immediate effect.

The Memo signed by the Registrar, Barr. B.M salary, reads in part: “This is to inform the general public that Osun State Polytechnic Iree has been closed down indefinitely. As a result of this, all students are to vacate the school premises with immediate effect.”

5 Lessons Every Youth MUST Learn From The Naira Marley’s Case.

I saw this article on naijaloaded and i felt i should share it here for every reader to see.

Okay!! so Naira Marley has been in the news lately over his unabashed and unashamed support for Internet fraud.

The whole thing started when he said on Instagram, “If you know about the history of slavery, you go know say, Yahoo no be crime“.

That statement alone generated spines of controversies with several celebrities weighing in their opinions on the issue of Internet fraud.

Weeks after, Naira Marley is cooling off in the confines of Ikoyi Prison.

It started from being invited for questioning to spending several days at the EFCC detention facility together with Zlatan and three others and now he has been charged to court alone.

As humans, we make mistakes, it now behooves on us to learn from our mistakes to achieve greater things.

You might want to ask, what does this whole Naira Marley and EFCC drama teach us?

What can we learn as fans from the mistakes of Naira Marley and make sure we ourselves don’t make this same mistake?

Read 5 Things Everyone Should Learn From Naira Marley’s Case:-

1. Always Mind Your Business
For God’s sake if Naira Marley had focused on his career, this whole issue would have been averted.

Let me chip in this, majority of the consequences we are facing now are results of the actions or choices we’ve made in the past.

If Naira Marley had made that Yahoo statement and stopped at that, God knows EFCC would not have come for him.

But man went on attacking everyone who disagreed with him, did Instagram live to say all sorts as regards such sensitive issue of National importance.

To crown it all, he hit the studio to record a song. At this point the whole country was already aware of Naira Marley and possibilities of him being a yahoo-boy with musical talents.

Infact, most of his actions made it look like the country had no laws.

But come to think of it, would Naira Marley be remanded in jail if he had minded his business and not say a word about Simi‘s comment on Yahoo-boys? Hell, NO!!

2. Never Do Anything For The Gram Or For Fame

At the beginning of the whole outburst by Naira Marley, it looked like he was enjoying the fame and the attention he was getting from every of his comments on yahoo-yahoo.

What does profit Naira Marley that profit all the fame and loose his own freedom.

He’s been to prison now, got his name tainted, embellished in the mud, got negative attention to his career. Yeah, he might pull through with this eventually and be free.

What if he had decided to “waka jeje inside life” and kept quiet the moment he felt he is about to be treated like Fela, Mandela and President Kennedy who were even fighting for the right cause.

EFCC just had to utilize the whole scenario to prove a point so people won’t say they are afraid of entertainers.

Naira got the fame, got the clout, fed from the popularity of Internet fraud to his advantage. At the end of the day, it got him into trouble.

3. Don’t Listen To The Crowd

At some point in the whole issue, some people especially the so-called yahoo boys be like, “Naira Jekanmo“, “Tell Them” urging him to keep the fire burning.

But how many of the so-called Marlians giving him ginger to keep talking about illegal Internet-fraud matter are with him at Ikoyi Prisons now?

In this life we just have to be careful about the kind of advices we take. Some are harmful, few are beneficial.

4. There Are Consequences For All Our Actions

Naira Marley‘s ordeal teaches us that whatever we are going through now is as a result of the choices and actions we’ve done in the past.

If Naira Marley had focused on next big music project after having successful Marlian Concert, God knows prison won’t be his location right now.

Whatever actions you take now, know that there are going to be consequences for it later. So, always do what is right.

5. Lastly, Don’t Talk While Eating

If truly Naira Marley does all he is accused of, he could have been silent about it knowing fully well that the law of the country frowns at it.

Yahoo-Yahoo is illegal but to some extent our society accept it due to the need to survive in the face of hard economy.

The truth is, yahoo-yahoo is best practiced under “G“. Make your money lowkey and enjoy, don’t come out and still be glorifying it.

In Naira Marley‘s case, he decided to be the PRO of the YBA, Yahoo Boys Association which has landed him an apartment in Ikoyi Prisons.

A word they say is enough for the wise!

Everyone wants Naira Marley out of jail.

We want him to continue his flourishing music career but his mistakes has cost him his freedom, only time will tell if it will cost him his career.

This is an opportunity for everyone to learn from the mistake he has made and become better people!
