Do you know that a bag of rice that sells for 30k now in Nigeria is less than 7k in Niger republic?
Imagine the profit they'll make by smuggling re-bagged rice from Niger Republic to Nigeria.. we're talking millions here yet there is no searchlight on the Nigeria-Niger republic border.

We can't keep deceiving ourselves and expect things to get better.. whatever is applicable to Benin Republic should also be applicable to Niger republic.

7k not possible, a bag of 50kg rice in Thailand, one of largest exporter of rice is over 20k, how can Niger that buys from them have it at 7k equivalent?

You are just making Nigerians long for non existent price relief.

It is no longer news that IGBOs have strong hatred for a scam party like APC ,this is evidence in the just concluded Anambra election

Advice to all

Igbos are wise and not to be fooled anymore buy this scam party called APC

If not for some senseless governor in south east who decamped to APC in bid to cover their loots ,(because according to them once you are in APC all your looting are overlooked)APC wouldn't have gotten any state from south east and south south

Party of doomed....it shall not be well with the founders of that party

All Governors that decamped to this useless party should know this now ..

YOU ALL WILL LOSE ....ASK GODSWILL AKPABIO HOW FAR

But APC you hate so much must give Biafra it's presidential ticket for 2023 elections.

Are you people capable of reason at all?

Osinbanjo the mumu will do what? Did you forget in a hurry how these afonjas were hyping this same osinbanjo saying that he will handle the economy while the terrorist will handle the security of the dungeon? Fast forward later, osinbanjo's economic know-how was going to the markets to share N5,000 to market women. Why are some of you so dumb that you forget easily?

By the way, why should a yoruba man become the next president when it's Igbo's turn to rule the dungeon? These afonjas want peace in their dungeon called nigeria, but they are inviting problems with their greed to produce the next president when it's not their time. Igbos must be given both APC and PDP presidential ticket slots before anyone can take those afonjas seriously with their "we want peace nonsense".

Ibo must be given APC ticket, is this clowning or what?

No Igbo wants to come out because should an Igbo man get the PDP ticket, it is you the Yoruba that kill his candidacy with propaganda with your media arsenal. You will make sure to remind northerners that a vote for an Igbo man is a vote for Nnamdi Kanu and that he will divide Nigeria.

We know you. We have seen through you.

And besides, who said power must be about contestations?

Why can’t Nigeria develop its brand of democracy where zoning is constitutionally entrenched? It will reduce apprehensions, bickering, violence and tensions that come with this struggle for power as we presently have it.

No region of this country is in lack of people with capacity. Or is there?

It is people like you who enjoy violence and spilling of blood that are against zoning so that power will be contested in the brutish old ways which brings about rancour and bitterness. Why must it be so?

Wait for a time a law will be made to prescribe regional rotation or join a party that has that In their constitution and learn not to betray your partners.

honestly I'm still trying to wrap my head around who scammed who in this election
whether it's Andy uba that scammed Apc making them to dole out billions in order to buy structures (decampees) at the other hand corner some billions
or the decamped members scammed Andy uba by faking their decamp.

I was surprised to see those who are originally APGA and PDP decamping to APC
at a time I was worried till it reached my constituency and senatorial zone.
apart from knowing how anambra state hates anything Apc, my constituency and senatorial zone hates Apc the more.
I came to realize that Andy uba has been grossly scammed the moment my house of assembly member Douglas Egbuna (Osite) who won his seat under Pdp despite APGA being in charge.
my house of rep member Linda Ikpeazu all decamped to APC.
I laughed so hard and told my friend that these people eligo Andy uba (dem don chop Andy uba).
come on these people are the pioneers of PDP in my zone and even God knows that they can never win anything under Apc.
I was so surprised of their defection but I know it was all scam.
I later heard that they where bought with 50-100m
lol imagine the money being circulated.
seems Andy scammed Apc
Infact I don't even know who scammed who

We are talking about power rotation to the south the way the north ensured power rotation in 2015 by co-opting Yoruba into their agenda at the expense of the south. What we are saying is that if the south MUST get power in 2023, then the south, all the south must rally around an Igbo presidency or southern presidency is dead on arrival. Yoruba either step down for Igbo or the north continues after Buhari. Isn't that clear enough to you? The Yoruba have nothing to leverage on. No southerner will back them and the north knows this since they have proven treacherous to the southern agenda. So you guys had better wake up before it''s too late. After all, what's at stake is far higher than hunger. Remember Benin Republic IDPs if power fails to return to the south. Hope this helps...

You'd think this guy's vote is all it takes to decide the presidency. Somebody who is not sure how those living with him in same apartment will vote

Haha...
Even you DO NOT believe what you wrote there. Who will vote a Yoruba in the south? And who will do that in the north? The worst case scenario is that the north continues beyond 2023. The best case scenario is that the Yoruba put away betrayal albeit temporarily and back Igbo presidency for power to shift to the south. Southern minorities won't vote Yoruba man and Igbo definitely won't. Nevertheless, you guys have the opportunity to pacify the south for 2015 betrayal. Maybe, if you do, we all will overlook your treacherous ways. What we want is unity.

Igbo presidency for southern unity
Southern unity for Igbo presidency

You are begging Yoruba to support your bid while they are saying they don't need your support for their bid, LMAO

GEJ and PDP never set out to sideline the Yorubas during his reign but they are too dubious to admit it.

PDP zoned the Speakership of the House of Representatives to the Southwest after the 2011 general elections.

It was Tinubu who ensured that the ACN House of Rep members teamed up with dissidents elements from the north to deny the Southwest that position only to turn around and use media to launch campaign of calumny against GEJ that he has sidelined the Yoruba in his government.

You are compound foolll and a lunatic! The railway concept is a white elephant project that will be a draining pipe on Nigerian’s scarce financial profile at the moment! What happened to a simple way of linking pipeline and having a deport in Nigeria? I guess you are too dumb to think?

The railway concept is to bring in more Nigeriens unchecked in to Nigeria for them to disrupt election results as they have done in 2015. Just a single condom would have saved us these your rants!

You are incapable of thinking, so they will transport uranium exports by pipeline and return imports of goods needed plus manufactured Nigerian products to Niger by the same pipeline?

Do you know what it will cost to lay pipeline from Niger to the seaports? And you can't use pipeline for anything else. You just hate to see the rail so can say nothing has been done, hence all your irrational rants.

Niger has zero economic benefits to Nigeria as compared to countries bordering Nigeria in the West but trust Northerners with nepotism na.. they prefer to build a world class railway to a parasite country with billions of dollars in loans for coming generations to pay back even if noone uses it than to have South South or South East zones linked to a national railway grid (if atal we have any).

The same nepotism they used to kill refinery operations taking refineries to Kaduna and spending millions in naira to transport crude there. Today none of those refineries are functional yet Nigeria keeps incurring billions in debt and costs for non-functional refineries.

They prefer to pack customs, immigration, soldiers and whatnot to ports in West to keep out West African countries with vibrant economies but throw open borders in North to parasite countries like Niger Republic with zero economic value to be coming in and going out as they like with cozy air-conditioned train rides. Ameachi fall hands big time.

Why are the 3 refineries in Niger Delta and plenty oil everywhere not functioning? You focused on Kaduna only because of bigotry.

The countries we sell our crude oil to some of them have refineries far from the seaports, how does that affect the refinery viability if we'll managed?

Which is easier, transport crude oil, refine into petrol, diesel, kerosene, aviation fuel etc distribute to nearby catchment market, or procure trucks for each product over 1500km away in the south.

Connect the whole of Nigeria first before thinking of connecting Buhari's home country.

The dangers of the Niger line are many!

Our borders are porous enough. Just anyone can come in , not be on any database and claim he is Nigerian.

Connect the East ,South and West and North and experience synergy of trade, resources and manpower.

The headaches the Easterners go through at the end of the year going home is enough to make that connecting line come through soonest.

Rotimi Amaechi should use sense in his dealing as a Minister. Overlook your disagreement with Wike and do what will make your people thank God they had you.

We lack credible, trustworthy leaders who looked out for their own and not their pockets.

Connect this and that first, do this do that here first only became known since 2015?

NITEL died when it first built Digital exchanges in small towns of the north while Aba, Onitsha etc business cities in the south continued to use obsolete Analogue exchanges.

In other good countries, railways are first constructed on most busy routes like Lagos-Benin-Onitsha-Nnewi-Orlu-Owerri-Aba-Portharcourt. The profits generated go to construction of railways on less busy routes.

But in Nigeria, it’s the other way round.

Amaechi is doing what his slave master, President Buhari, wants him to do.

If Amaechi is not a typical House Niggar, he would have long resigned from that Ministry.

Is it not the same blood oil, blood food, blood imports Jonathan cried about?

These guys do not have real export.
Their items are Nigerian bound items that gets shipped to Niger to avoid high import duties and then illegally smuggled into Nigeria via our numerous porous road borders.

The rail line is only creating a channel for legal import yet this doesn't solve the issue of smuggling.

Truth is, this Inter national rail line was endorsed by the AU/ECOWAS. And both countries are suppose to cover the cost. Nigeria is going about it alone, maybe cos of the 90% thing you said or for reasons best known to this Buhari govt.

Check the value of their exports of uranium and crude oil and estimate how much Nigeria can earn via port charges and freight rates
