Politics / Re: Why Is Your State, Kano, Not Hooked To National Grid?, APGA Mocks Ganduje by Oxb90: 8:38am On Mar 24
Politicians and their political talk no concern me.
I have since stopped supporting political parties, my support is for any politician with a good heart. Until Nigerians start looking beyond the vehicles each politician is riding on and rather look at individualism, it will be impossible to elect someone who will help turn Nigeria to a country of our dreams.

Does Peter Obi care about the existence of people like Reno in Nigeria? He is busy building bridges and expanding his political career while the other is doing boi-boi and having sleepless nights about what Obi did or didn't do.

Good news I must say.
Unfortunately, details of how they finally regained freedom were not provided.
I hope we are not going to hear very soon of mass abductions like this anymore.

But, how come the word 'IPOB', has a way of coming into every news in this country?
Even as sweet as this news sounds some elements are making a sentimental statement already.

Politics / Re: How Nigerian Newspapers Glorify Terrorists by Oxb90: 7:28am On Mar 23
Bebigiby1:
It is indeed shameful that Nigerian newspapers lack the integrity to report objectively by calling blood tasty gunmen in the north bandits instead of terrorists…. This singular act in the choice of words used by Nigerian news media is clearly a calculated attempt to whitewash the terrible situation and insecurity going on especially in the northern part of the country. It is indeed a betrayal to the victims of terrorism and a verdict that corruption has eaten deep into Nigerian journalism. The obvious lie on the pages of newspapers calling the notorious gun men bandits each time they strike and the deceit will only encourage the terrorist sponsors to continue. Many journalists have become complacent and indirectly terrorist enablers….
I concur.

Where is the Nigerian military?

Oh, they are in Delta State on a revenge mission and in the South East hunting ESN and IPOB.

Crime / Re: Why Are Some Nigerians Wicked ???? Price Of Indomie. by Oxb90: 1:59pm On Mar 21
If you ask them now, they will say it's old stock. But when they still have old stock and there is a price increase, they will quickly adjust to the new price. This is the same with fueling stations. Nigeria is dog-eat-dog.

Politics / Re: ‘it’s Skewed Against Us’, Northern Senators Query Tinubu’s 2024 Budget by Oxb90: 6:27am On Mar 10
Even though I do not support budget padding, northern leaders have continued to tell the rest of Nigerians that Nigeria is all about the northern interest or nothing. How come
all of a sudden, they now can scrutinize the Nigerian budget? But in all the eight years of misrule of Buhari, no northern Nigerian senator saw anything wrong. Everything Buhari did or did not do was right.
Even now it is difficult to understand why Nigeria should be united.

Politics / Re: Gov. Alex Otti Confirms The Construction Of A Light Rail Across Abia State by Oxb90: 5:46pm On Mar 01
Let's clap for him.
Most of our politicians do not know that Nigerians are the easiest people to govern. Give them the necessities of life and they are satisfied.
Since the time of late Mbakwe, the old Imo State has not been fortunate to have a leader. They have always ended up with rulers whose only interest is to steal. Imo state would have succeeded with a leader like that of Abia, but federal interest deprived them of that.
When a good man leads a nation, the people will rejoice.
If Governor Otti does not lose focus on governance and starts to chase shadow, four years from now most Abians in the diaspora will be rushing back to invest in their state.

Politics / Re: Jimi Agbaje To Tinubu: There’s A Limit To Hardship Nigerians Can Endure by Oxb90: 9:53am On Feb 24
nairavsdollars:
BY TEMIDAYO AKINSUYI

Jimi Agbaje, former governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos, says government at all levels must strive to ameliorate the hardship being experienced by Nigerians.

Agbaje said while President Bola Tinubu is trying to find solutions to the problems of the economy, his approach has worsened the plight of Nigerians.

“There is a limit to how much people can endure. People have accepted the principle that there is no gain without pain but there is a limit to the pain. The truth is that there is an elastic limit,” Agbaje told TheCable.

“Government at all levels must ease the pain of the people while trying to make lasting corrections to the economy. I am not sure that the people can endure for that much longer.”

Agbaje implored government officials to make sacrifices by cutting down on the cost of governance while also ensuring that the palliatives provided get to the most vulnerable in the society.

“The palliatives they are giving out must reach the vulnerable. It must cut across in a way that the people feel some measure of relief. Also, our leaders must lead by example. You cannot ask people to make sacrifice while you are not showing that measure of sacrifice,” he said.

“The issue is not whether he (Tinubu) has performed above or below expectations. The issue is that there is a problem. There were fundamental problems to the economy. He is trying to address it but the reality is that in addressing it, it is causing a lot of hardship. That hardship needs to be ameliorated".

"Whatever decisions have been taken, I know we will not get immediate results. It is going to be medium and long-term. But the people have to be alive to enjoy the medium and long term. I think that is what is missing at this point in time. People cannot bear it much longer.”

I beg to disagree sir, Nigeria and Nigerians are born to suffer, and endure forever.
After all one popular musician sang " suffering and smiling" a long time ago. So no be today we start to endure.
