There's a huge difference between:
1) proof of 100% server usage in result collation and
2) proof of server existence.

The case here is not about proving that the server was 100% used for result collation.

The case is about INEC denying that its server exists.

Atiku's application was for SERVER INSPECTION. Not for result validation.

Why is INEC denying the existence of its server (contrary to its own documented public assertions) if no evidence of illegality can be found following a thorough audit/inspection of the server?

Seriously, you guys should stop being stupid.

netpro:

You nailed it.

How do they expect us to value a result nobody knew existed over the results authorised Electoral officials counted and announced in person publicly under the watchful eyes of everyone?

INEC did NOT say that Atiku's claim is "not advisable" or admissible by law. They PLAINLY DENIED the existence of their server.

Is that too complicated for you to grasp?

See, I don't want to call you names, but your position here goes to show how dishonest and shallow your other assertions elsewhere could be.

netpro:

It simply means it is not advisable in the Presidential Tribunal matter. Anything not backed by the Constitution and the Electoral law does not hold any water no matter how many times you say it.

Later someone can file a case on whether or not, INEC spent the money as budgeted. But as you can see that doesn’t help Atiku currently.

You accused Igbo's of hate.

You asked igbos to leave their lands and move to middle east.

You threatened to "do everything necessary" to take the lands.

Yet you claim to be Igbo.

My friend, you 100% ENABLED all the anti-igbo rhetorics on this thread. You created this thread in the first place. And all the Igbo haters on here AGREE with you 100%.

Please, own it. You are an enabler of Igbo hate.

It is rather irresponsible for you to blame me for the evil and madness on the web because I advocate Ndigbo having a larger role and participation in the Nigerian union.

@netpro

This is what you help to enable in your silly naivety (that's giving you a benefit of doubt that you have an iota of Igbo ancestry).

In any case, this igbophobic tendency to trash-talk and vilify our people predated the civil war.

In the West, Akintola ran a movement with these same rhetorics just like Adeyinka Grandson (and many others) still do till today.

In the North, Belewa A. Bello and a plethora of his grassroots mobilizers ran with the same anti-igbo rhetorics, even way before Nigeria's independence - and it has continued till today.

These people do not understand the cultural oxymoronic blend of high level individualism and refined collectivism that drives the average Igbo man and his Igbo community wherever they are found. It is deeply opposed to the prevalent culture of oligarchy found in most of the other regions of Nigeria.

This contradictory distinctness is at the root of every anti Igbo movement in history. And it's so disheartening that folks like you, @netpro, are ignorantly (or are you?) enabling and validating this behaviour.

konoplyanka:

Typical dead brain igbo man. You hate the truth. You guys think Nigerians should apologize to you while we as Nigerians also want you to show remorse for introducing hatred by killing other tribes, derailing our democracy, bastardizing our federation and your attempt at dominating other tribes and inflicting genocide on us.

God forbid an ibo man becomes president, you guys will unleash genocide on the rest of us.

Maybe that would give you a glimpse of how the average Igbo person feels when you arrogantly tell them to move away from their ancestral indigenous lands (ancestral rights to which has preexisted and survived Nigeria, western colonists, and Christianity, Islamic jihad and all pre colonial tribal/ethnic conquests that were prevalent in other regions ) just because they insist that Nigeria as structured is not and has never been in their best interest.

Quit playing the victim, dude. You are the grand aggressor here.

You have already, albeit covertly, called for Igbo genocide on this thread alone just because you failed to have your way in making everyone support your anti-igbo/pro One Nigeria delusion.

Seriously, you are anti-igbo. Just face it.

I have read a lot of comments posted here directed to me. It is even more heartbreaking than I initially take it.

That we now live at a time where a fellow Igboman saying any of the following is considered a sacrilege:
- I love Nigeria, my country.
- I love my fellow Nigerian.
- God bless Nigeria and our leaders and guide them right.
- I pray for a united Nigeria where we live as one.

These are simple, innocent and universally accepted statements. Now consider that a large portion of my brethren will get pissed, curse and wish me harm for saying them.

It is disheartening and astonishing.

Man, check your mindset. The tendency to blame the victim and exonerate the aggressor does not end well for those who do such.

Rest assured that APC will not be the n power too long. And, God's willing, one of the first things PDP will do once they retake power is to make our voting system more transparent - which will include the amendment act Buhari refused to sign into law.

Does "being alien to the law" and "not necessarily using it" mean the same thing to you as "INEC server does not exist"?

Do you now have to support a silly lie to prove your patriotism?

If INEC did not use a server, how then were they able to use Card Reader for voter verification?

Are you even aware that, based on the existing INEC tenets, deliberate failure to use the Card Reader for voter verification is grounds for election cancelation? This was done both in 2015 and 2019.

So if there was no server, how was the Card Reader able to verify voters?

netpro:

There different aspects of the Server issue and mostly does not favor Atiku.

For instance, that INEC talked about servers before the election doesn't necessarily mean they used it. Also manual and paper results that were announced publicly by the electoral officers favour Buhari. It would have been a lot easier to change a softcopy if server were in play.

The biggest upset is President Buhari declining to accent to the amended electoral bill. So INEC is not under any obligation to e-collation. It is also alien to the Law.

What is your point, dude?

1) Insinuating that INEC did not use their server during the elections?

2) Or are you saying that truly they never had any server in existence?

Basically, we all saw an INEC official saying on Channels TV that polling results were to be electronically posted to the INEC server from the Card Readers right from each polling unit. And when the manual result sheets are returned they had to be crosschecked against what's on the server in order to mitigate backdoor manipulation.

netpro:

If you are not an IT person like some of us it will look very complex. Servers and computers, yes. But there is a world of difference between a Server and office computers.

For there to be the level of service Atiku is made to believe to support the use of servers, they have to be Internet connectivity, interactive database, software with user interface to enable sending the alleged results to the database. There are more to it for a national deployment.

Atiku was simply sold an elaborate scam.

Smart pant how was the sovereignty of places like Austria and Poland before the formation of the EU? How was the sovereignty of Europe during the reign of the Roman Empire, Napoleon, USSR and the rest?

If a mega indivisible sovereignty worked so well why did they break those down and instead opted for a more lax union of smaller sovereign nations?

As I said before, "learn from Europe". Europe is not the same thing as the EU. But I'm sure your closed mindset will not allow you to notice that.

"Discussing solution" starts when everything - including disintegration - is placed on the table.

Learn from Europe. They first disintegrated to bits and pieces before finally coming together (not all of them) to form the EU.

You CANNOT FORCE UNITY. Forced unity is unsustainable.

The US is not as dangerously diverse as Nigeria. Yet they have people clamoring for secession. But those people do not have momentous followership because US is literally the freest and best country on the earth - which works for most of its citizens.

Yet, unlike Nigeria which has been proven unworkable for most of its citizens, those few people who are mumbling about exit from the US are not designated unjustly as terrorists.

netpro:

Even in the United States, matters of National Security surpasses personal liberty and freedom. A US citizen can be held indefinitely under that clause.

Nigeria can sit and discuss solutions to her problems, but anyone whose first agenda on the table is disintegration is doing so in bad fate.

Then you should stop claiming that Nigeria is practicing democracy.

In true democracy, you do not enforce unity. You enforce justice, fairness, equal opportunity and rule of law based on the will of the majority. Then unity and patriotism will be the natural outcome.

Not sure what will happen in Biafra. But from what some IPOB folks are saying, Biafran regions will be so autonomous and free, yet the center will be so inclusive that people from all regions will find it so dumb and totally unattractive to want to pull out.

That's what Nigeria should have aimed for.

You should not have any business trying to FORCE people to unite with you.

netpro:

Talking about Nigeria as a Nigerian, yes unity is paramount. And it is fundamental that Nigerians protect Nigeria.

I a proud Nigerian, it is even better to expand Nigeria to the rest of West Africa than the notion of dividing it.

Nice try, but I think you got it wrong.

Where I disagree with you is where you said that Nigeria can never be divided. While I'm neither pro nor anti disintegration at the moment, you lose me once you throw up the idea that unity or oneness is not negotiable. That's pure slavery. And the human spirit is a free agent that's not designed to be legitimately enslaved by any human or system. The biggest proof of freedom is the capacity to say no without fear.

So, until you concede that Nigeria may be disintegrated if the need be, then you are sincerely not yet ready to rebuild.

In fact, let me shock you, the reason ALL the attempts at national conferences (including the 2014 confab) had failed is because they were instituted with the notion that the negotiation of Nigeria's oneness was off the table. You can never make a cohesive headway in a dangerously diverse nation like Nigeria with that mindset.

Unfortunately, folks like you have turned the concept of One Nigeria into a blood thirsty idol to which they have sacrificed millions and are still willing to sacrifice even more millions of innocent people "if need be". This is despite the fact that the system has consistently failed the majority of the people.

To me, the only groups that have truly called for a promising measure that may surprisingly rescue this country from its doomed foundation are those calling for referendum on nationality.

You cannot sustain forced patriotism.

People need to be able to determine their national identity.

History has shown that anything outside that will be too expensive and totally unsustainable.

Little kiddo, you are the one running around and complaining everywhere.

For example, you created this thread to rant. No one forced you to do it.

Secondly, you seem to have an issue with basic logic. If you knew what justice really is, you'd also know that it cannot be justly withheld from anyone regardless of what they did, who they resent or how they feel.

Thirdly, rather than ranting about Igbo's gripping on hatred (which is a lie and is not supported by any verifiable evidence), equity demands that you first identify the origin of that hate and what's fuelling it, and then address it justly from the roots.

But you cannot do any of that.

It's easier for you (like it is for many other Nigerians) to play the classic card of blaming the Igbo's for the logical consequences of your own actions or that of those you endorsed.

Get a life please.

For example, the North East is being rebuilt as we speak, despite the fact that the war on terror over there is still raging. They even formed a North East commission for that purpose.

But the East which was internationally destroyed by the federal government during the civil war is still largely abandoned 50 years after. The so called 3 Rs initiative only did very little reconstruction projects for a while and was mostly used for mere propaganda.

And recently when the bill for south east reconstruction commission was presented it was shut down before it even had a chance to pass.

You are ranting for yourself on Nairaland - NOT FOR NDIGBO IN NIGERIA.

YOU CANNOT IMPOSE UNITY.

YOU CANNOT HAVE UNITY WITHOUT PEACE.

AND YOU CANNOT HAVE PEACE WITHOUT JUSTICE.

IGBOS WERE HATED IN NIGERIA BEFORE NIGERIA'S INDEPENDENCE.

IN FACT, EVEN THE COLONIAL BRITAIN HAD A HARD TIME WITH THE IGBOS.

YOU KNOW WHY? BECAUSE IGBOS ARE FREE INDIVIDUALS.

OPPRESSORS AND THE OPPRESSED NATURALLY RESENT FREE INDIVIDUALS.

Yet, in spite of all of these negative vibes directed at Igbo's across the country, NDIGBO remain the MOST INTEGRATED ethnic group in Nigeria.

Show me one Yoruba or Hausa person who stutters the Igbo language, and I will show you 100 Igbo's who speak BOTH Hausa and Yoruba languages fluently.

In conclusion, if you think that you will be accepted by dissing NDIGBO on Nairaland or elsewhere, then you are terribly uninformed.

Igbophobia is one major factor that unites the rest of Nigeria. And you have been infected by it.

But lately the hatred and unguarded emotions and voices of some has continued to alienate Ndigbo from the rest of nation. It now seems if you are an Igboman and you are not hating on Nigeria, you are the enemy.

Granted, our country Nigeria (like any other country out there) has many challenges and I strongly believe together we can find a common ground and solutions to them.

I believe the day Ndigbo through an organisation like Ohaneze, make a declaration like the one below in bold, Ndigbo can start the process of reclaiming its position in the scheme of things. It will also be the time other Nigerians will start giving an Igboman a benefit of the doubt.

That we, Ndigbo are 100% Nigerians. We have no other country except Nigeria. That we are not just surviving in Nigeria, but we are committed to join other Nigerians from all parts of the Federation to build the Nigeria of our collective aspiration. That we forgive those that have hurt and offended us in the past and ask never again. We are proudly Nigerians.

At the very least say this to ourselves and teach our people the same, the hate will die down, love, unity and development will grow. Nigeria will be greater than ever.

If you are too weak and desperate to play the opposition politics, you'd be too dumb and clueless to retain the ruling power.

Check out the two topmost APC leaders from both north and south. - Buhari and Tinibu.

BOTH OF THEM STAYED IN THE NIGERIAN OPPOSITION PARTIES FROM 1999 TO 2014

That's why they mustered enough stamina to take out PDP from power in the center in 2015.

Heck, South West as a region was in national opposition until 2014. (In fact since the creation of Nigeria, they had been in opposition more times than they were in the ruling parry). That's why they were able to form the first NEW and ALTERNATIVE winning alliance between the north an south outside of PDP since 1999.

Again, learn from facts before talking or just shut up.

CowHard:

The inauguration of the ninth assembly which took place on the 11th of June has come and gone but the events and proceedings are still worthy of discussion.
Senator Ahmed Lawan clinched the Senate presidency with Senator Ovie Omo-Agege clinching the deputy slot.

At the green chambers, Hon Femi Gbajabiamila clinched the speakership position while Hon Idris Ahmed Wase got the deputy speaker slot.
However, the aftermath of the NASS elections meant Igbos and South Eastern geopolitical zone got practically nothing.

The proceedings also highlighted the unpreparedness of Ndigbo in the polity and politics of Nigeria. The shameful outing brought to the fore, the lackadaisical and politics of vengeance inherent in this part of the country.

While the eventual winners of the NASS elections were vigorously campaigning and canvassing for votes, our lawmakers went holidaying, expecting to be handpicked and decorated with the winners medal.

The two high ranking senator-elects in the person of the immediate past governor of Imo state, Rochas Okorocha and his Imo counterpart, senator Uwajumogu who were in a better position to clinch the elective slots were tactically chased away from the national assembly complex with the court while Ndigbo watched and cheered.

Before the composition of the NASS leadership, South East had three elected senators on the platform of the ruling party APC which are Rochas Okorocha, Orji Kalu and Senator Uwajumogu of Imo north senatorial district.
But in a dramatic fashion, two out of the three elected senators had their certificates withdrawn, leaving the region with just a single member in a chamber of 109 senators.

I'm not a fan of Rochas Okorocha and his #iberiberism governance in Imo state but the role he was to play at the red chambers supersedes whatever ills that characterized the politics of Imo state.

Politics calls for a serious permutations and calculations. Gone are the days of ethnic jingoism and victim mentality.
Femi Gbajabiamila toured virtually all the states of federation canvassing for support but ours was to cheer as the only options with a brighter chance got schemed out by the very hegemonic cabals.

We readily cry of being marginalized but in the truest of the whole issue, we are the architect of our misfortune.
The South east has never hidden their hatred for the APC led federal government hence the indifference in the imbroglios that schemed out her bright prospects from the NASS leadership composition.

To compound the whole scenario, the region presented, or rather nominated senator Ike Ekweremadu for senate deputy slot. This is a senator that has held the deputy president position for a record 12 years. The same senator left a bitter taste in the mouth of the ruling party when he clinched his position through the back door at the composition of the 8th Senate.

He was rousingly defeated by his competitor thus seeing to a decline in his political influence.

At the moment, Igbos are left with no strong political force and a strong contender for the 2023 election even if it's zoned to the region.
To Ndigbo, the composition of the NASS leadership is a mere jamboree but to others, it's a warm up to the next general elections.

The dearth of politics of alignment has made the region to be more or less onlookers in the leadership composition of the federation.
At a point, we claim not be interested in the politics of the country but before one says jack, we are back crying of being marginalized.

The South west aligned, lobbied and were rewarded with ministerial portfolios despite enjoying the vice presidency slot.
Raji Fashola is the minister for works, housing and power. Three powerful portfolios!!
Where went my brothers when the food was being served?

Under the PDP, we cried, wept and wailed of marginalization. Is there anything wrong if we give the current ruling party a try? I thought they said there's no harm in trial?
Igbos, while we fight ourselves to destruction, strangers are busy scooping and taking up the slots meant for us.

Why do you guys like to overate China?

This kind of chants without data driven evidence disgust me.

If pushing Google and Android aside is a thing, BB and Microsoft would still have a significant portion of the mobile market. But that's not the case.

China's pushing American brands out/boycotting them will actually favor the US and hurt China - badly - at the long run.

The US brands already control the larger portion of the global mobile market for apps, content and software . They also, almost exclusively, control hardware R & D and future innovations. All China does is to steal IP and copy.

So, all they need to take China down in a hurry is an incentive to design new hardware brands and move productions to friendly South East Asian and Central American countries - or even back to the US.

Forcing them out of the Chinese (production) market would give a boost to that much needed incentive.

Where I actually think China has an edge is in its significant control of global shipping logistics. But this too can be dealt with.

Besides, who would be in the license granting panel? Atheists? Irreligious officials? Representatives of established religious orders? Where is the verifiable evidence that there won't be bias and prejudices in the approval processes?

Dude, look at the history, the highest levels of mass murder worldwide is committed by REPRESSIVE governments everywhere and every darn time.

Stupidly supporting government regulation of your human right is actually giving them ammunition to mess you up in the near future. Dumb.

The so called act is nothing but mere prerequisite to legalized religious exclusion, witch hunt, and large scale persecution.

NOETHNICITY:
Over the course of 3decades, there has been too many unnecessary avoidable blood shed in kd due to inciting sermons emanating from many religious center.

I think government regulation of religious preaching is long over due

if u re not OK with, leave the 'zoo'

It's either you don't know what you are supporting, or you don't have value for liberty.

NOETHNICITY:
Bro u re off point on this.

How does an unrestructured Nigeria affect the efficacy or the need for a state to enact law to suit its priorities?

Also, tell me, what has our decades of religious freedom brought us?

It is high time every state begins to do this, that is why we re a federation

grin

“The supplementary provision provides that all cassettes, CDs, flash drives or any other communication gadgets containing religious recordings from accredited preachers may be played inside a private dwelling unit or vehicle, entrance porch (zaure), church, mosque and any other designated place of worship.

In other words, the CDs, DVDs and all digital media messages of preachers from other regions and states outside Kaduna would be ILLEGAL (and may actually be burnt) in Kaduna state. Yet, the same hypocrites would come here and condemn the anti-grazing laws passed in predominantly agrarian middle belt and southern states.

"One Nigeria" my foot.

I'm not a lawyer, but I do know that religious freedom is both constitutional right and a human right in Nigeria. So, setting up a state controlled bureaucracy to regulate who should or should not preach is unlawful, illegal and unconstitutional.

But more importantly, this is a definite foundation for fascism.

You guys should restructure the country asap or else disintegrate it. If you continue like this, you'd not survive or make any progress even in a thousand years.

Thank you, Ada Nna. Have missed you and your wise NL assertions a lot. Kudos.

What nonsensical foolish assertion is the above quote supposed to infer?

There is nothing like Palestinian people in the very sense you represent it the context above. Palestine is a geographical location occupied by the Jews and Arabs, it consists of present day Israel, Gaza, West bank and Jordan..

Jordan is 95% Palestinian Arabs and 5% ruling Saudi Royals.

Gaza should join Egypt while Westbank reunites with Jordan. Jews living in outposts should be called Palestinian Jews and called Jordanians, while Israeli Arabs stay with Israel.

Without support from USA Evangelicals, Arabs with UN support would've wipe Israeli Jews off the map.
