Please I need details if the class if very effective. I don't mind going through the rigours...

Wishlist:
Hi. Yes I have. But I went with another private tutor. After much considerations, I decided on a faster module. It's a time & effort demanding French class though, you've got to be mentally prepared for the tasks & the tutor who is twice as fierce.

Yes, it is an online private classe. Very gruelling but very educative, productive & fast which is what I wanted anyway.

Whatever institute you decide on, make up your mind to start early. Passed time can't be gotten back.

Education / Re: IELTS: Share Your Experience, Ask Your Questions, Tell Us Your Score If You Can. by Pebo(f): 8:49pm On Mar 04, 2020
Hello all. I wrote my IELTS Nov 2019 with BC and scored LRWS - 8.5, 7.5, 6.5, 8.0 and applied for a renark in dec. By Jan 2 2020 I got my results and my writing was increased to 7.0. I filled a form for refund and was told it will be paid within 30 days however i haven't received the refund yet. I have tried calling their line and instead i am put on hold for a long time and have never succeeded in getting to speak to their agents. I have also sent several mails but no concrete response. I need advise from anyone who has been though a similar experience please

Wow! Congrats! I am really encouraged by this. I have been following the Canadavisa thread too but must confess that at a point I felt jobs were only given to the Indians. Now I definitely will not relent on this pathway...

Frankrobbn1:

Thanks for the best wishes. It took me solid 4 months of persistence reading and exploring of different companies websites using the approved list of designated employers under the AIPP stream. At a time, I got discouraged as some of the companies I contacted said they weren't aware of the immigration program called - AIPP.... This kept me wondering how will they not know about the Atlantic program. Meanwhile their names were among the designated employers on the list to hire foreign employees. I knew what I wanted so I relentlessly kept on pushing without hesitation. I sought advices from some of the Indians guys on the WhatsApp group I belonged to then, they gave me tips on how to contact employers in the Altantic region and shared me some of their cover letters which all attempts proved abortive as all the employers I contacted were looking for employee with work permit within Canada. cry During my quest, I decided to build up my LinkedIn account and fortunately I got to see one of the approved companies under AIPP and their advertisement for Vacancy for over two months. shocked I said to myself let me just try this one and see if things turns out fine for me.... More like a trial!. I didn't even invest so much hope that I'll secure the job. After all, I have been getting a rejection response/mail from them all this while, therefore it's no longer a new thing to me. I braced up and contacted the company via their LinkedIn page as well as messaged them about my interest in working for the company and filling up their labour shortage. Fortunately, the company replied my message and requested that I should mail them a copy my resume and a cover letter which will detail about my vast working experience in the field and why I am fit for the job/position in their company and the contributions I'll bring to the team that will yield high productivity for the company etc...

The company reviewed my documents and sent me a mail regarding an interview.

My interview was conducted via Skype on the 21st of December, 2018. The manager of the company asked me questions about my experience and how long I have worked in that field and what is my current employment in my country of residence. Do I have my IELTS and ECA ready? Of which I sincerely told him that I don't have any yet but will get it done as soon as I have successfully secured the job offer. The manager was a jovial and very nice person. I must say he is very understandable and he said "That's okay, but you must have it so we can file for your Permanent Residence Application".... I replied with a calm voice "Sure I will".

At the end of the interview, the manager said "Congratulations" with a smile on his face that I'm now a member/employee of the organization, that i should expect further correspondence from them which entitles a signed job contract and supporting documentation regarding my employment via email. That I should endeavor to sign those forms and send it back to them ASAP, so they could begin my application for settlement plan, after which they will proceed with my provincial Endorsement and subsequently my Permanent Residence application to Canada. shocked shocked This was one of the happiest day of my life meanwhile my PR will be the best of all. grin..... The waiting is not an easy one but I believe everything will work out in due time and I'll receive a PPR in few months to come grin

I hope this helps. My advice is you keep on pushing and never relent. Someday you will find your dream employer and they will accept your application with open arms.

I wish you all the very best.

Thanks @Hanna007 for this thread. I've actually been doing a lot of personal research on AIPP for a while now and had noticed only canadavisa had an active thread.

Closely following this thread....

Hanna007:
This is a thread on Atlantic immigration pilot program. It's for those that have low crs and no more means of boosting it. With the current crs cut off, one has to look for other options.

So as we go along I will explain how this program works. I'm also considering this program as I have low crs and pof

PS: I'm not an immigration lawyer or agent, I have read through this scheme and know how it works. So please let's help ourselves through this process. Thanks

Hi everyone. Nice job you're doing here @hanna007. I've actually been reading up on this route for a while now and could only get info on canadavisa. Couldn't seem to find any related post on nairaland till I stumbled on this today... I'm close to the end with my ICES thank God. Documents were received on Mar 28. Planning on taking IELTS within the next month so I'm pretty hopeful about this thread...

Car Talk / Re: How To Correct Error In Driver's License by Pebo(f): 1:25pm On May 21, 2019
Hello. Please can i have your contact who helped you? Mine has an issue where my first name was mixed up and used as my surname. Thanks

Akpuoru:
I can officially say that the error (Date of Birth) on my drivers license has been rectified but I feel I should state the process that got to this
1. My earlier license had my correct DOB, July.
2. The index license has June instead of July, strangely I had been using it without noticing this error until I was accosted by road safety this June. I confidently produced the license with the knowledge that it would expire the coming month. I will not go into the embarrassment I went through.
3. I immediately went to have it renewed at RIRS Port Harcourt but had to apply for correction to the DOB.
4. I got no positive response from June till September. I decided to through one of the "agents" working for the road safety there. She told me straight that it would cost me #5K.
5. Fast forward, I paid the money and the change has just been effected.
6. I'm ashamed to say that I had to pay money to have something as trivial as this to be done; yet we complain of corruption in high places when in our small spheres, we are all involved. This is the Civil service world in 9ja.
