imagine...... but an African will still go to Paris, stay on the Eiffel tower and snap dozens picture simply because he want to propose to a lady. True, also Prince William's grandma, Queen Elizabeth 2, the current Queen of the UK, ascended to her throne while in Kenya. This was the hotel she was in, Treetops Hotel, in Kenya. Her dad died while she was in Kenya

but skin color or language or religion or culture does not matter much. If you say that, Ethiopia have all these factors differently even comparing with the other East African countries. But we still black They think Ethiopians, all 100 million of them look the same. |

Yeah they are excellent in that department. Are there any great non-Nilot Kenyan runners? Is Victor Weyama(sorry for the spelling) Niolt? I'm guessing you aren't Nilot. What is your ethnicity?
I hope we will beat you guys in the 2017 world championship. Let's hope. ![cool](https://www.nairaland.com/faces/cool.png) Yes there are some who are not Kalenjins but most of them are Kalenjis, something like 90% I guess. Also the non Kalenjins are probably mix of Kalenjin and some other tribe. Wanyama is not but the largest % of our national team is. 1 Like |

They had iron tools. That's what made the difference Tbh thank you. I am learning so much more. I do know in Kenya they assimilated the Cushites, most of the native tribes, the Nilotes not so much, guess the Europeans arrived just in time else they would have been swallowed too. And there were khokhoi(that language group) people in East Africa. They were completely assimilated 1 Like |

True, but Nilo-Sharan super family language is currently is only spoken in Ethio-Sudan border. Never forget Kenya. Luo is the largest Nilotic language. There are more Nilotes in Kenya than Sudan and Ethiopia |

The reason why I said that was because Bantu displaced the local populations in East, Central and South Africa. in East Africa, they displaced the Nilotic population as well as some Cushitic populations. In Southern Africa, they displaced the local Khoisan populations. One of the primary way for displacement was assimilation. Then Bantus got too be the greatest conquerors in Africa |

Kush/Mero kingdom included modern day northern Sudan back then until they were conquered and destroyed by Axumitie king Ezana in the mid 4th century.
Kush has nothing to do with Cushite. Modern day northern Sudanese are Nilot/Arab/Beja and few others mix. Nilotes are cool tho. ![smiley](https://www.nairaland.com/faces/smiley.png) Thanks to them we are amazing in sports, especially the races where we beat you guys. |

Nubians of Sudan-Egypt, most people in the Gambela region of Ethiopia, and most South Sudanese and Kunama and Nara of Eritrea are Nilo-Saharan not Kushite. Even Bantus in East Africa most likely have Nilotic ancestry. I see but I doubt that. Most Bantus in Kenya came from the South. Maybe Bantus in Uganda and Western Kenya are mixed with Nilotes. But Nilotes are very old, it is believed they migrated southwards from ancient Egypt |

It's a refrence to a general area. Not all of modern day Sudan is Nubia. The coastal part of Sudan is largely occupied by the Beja and they speak a Cushitic language. Cush is just a derivative of Kush, not that Kush is Cushitic But I dont think Nilotes(Sudanic people) were Kushites, or were they? |
