Preeclampsia could be very funny... I don't think they have fault at the general hospital.
it can develop within few hours to days. Talking from experience

Day 2 old,,, my son suckled for 3 hours at a stretch that I was crying. As I was breastfeeding him Dh was feeding me with pap at the same time.

I want to birth my lo before Edd O jare. serious Contraction without dilatation except for 50% effacement from VE. Am 38 weeks 5 days today and next visit is tomorrow.

what I know is that your baby is a "precious baby" to them as they use to call ttcved babies. they always want to avoid story that touches.

they don't want mother and baby to go through any stress that will warrant emergency cs and during the process of preparation another thing will now come up.

and couple with your age as an elderly primip you are prone to so many of this conditions in pregnancy. And there are some that won't even manifest until late pregnancy period.

Please follow whatever your doc said on that.

I once told my sister to request for it at Ifako Ijaiye General Hospital in Lagos but she was told it was not available.

my Docs and midwives have been telling me since all dis while on epidural.
Infact 2 of my Docs were like if I come to labor ward without opting for it dey won't allow me...loll

But people dat r not health workers hv been saying all sort of things. when I informed my Docs they were like Nigerians mentality of I must experience labor pain.

Some hospital gave while some did not. most Govt Hospitals and teaching gave LA.

But some private will give silly excuse to convince patient dat if it is given d site will not heal on time and vice versa.

But some mamas still complains of pain with it,, which I think is due to Individual physiological make up and pain threshold.

Please let us all be thinking positively. the situation of health facility in dis country does not worth ur skin to be cut for no reason.

At Jumayin,, if you see someone that gone through cs and had complications you won't pray for it.


I saw a woman in labour without any Indication for cs and was shouting that they should take her for cs . when d doc didn't answer her she started behaving uncooperative,, pushing towards undilated cervix until she had cervical tears. she was eventually sectioned but she regretted it.

also d procedure is believed not to be painful bit rather . makes one uncomfortable.
in counting d cm. 1 finger is 2cm, 2 fingers is 4cm, 3 fingers is 6cm, 4 fingers is 8cm And 5 fingers is 10 cm.

but you rarely see a midwife or Doctor that will insert 5 fingers... what they do is when d vagina accommodate 4 fingers they will just extend it.
