The billions of dollars the govt has been spending on these refineries, since 2007, in the name of turnaround maintenance, is mindbuggling and would have built us 5 new ones.

That amount can build a new refinery or a multiple Modular refineries, the level of theft through blatant inflation of contract values in this regime is alarming.

Unfortunately this noise maker is from my state. Like he's not part of the droves that brought him but here he comes always crying us a river. When all were rose I remember the sound of his bold voice whenever he voiced of Shai Baba one of the sales reps that marketed and sold Nigerians buhari. PDP left six years ago. Are we still blaming them? For the past six years what have Buhari being the Petroleum Minister done? Every year budget in billions is alloted for TAM of the refineries yet they can't refine a single drop of oil. The fuel we aren't buying cheaper. Where is the 1 year one Refinery Buhari promised?

This Buhari administration reeks of corruption. I remember after the 2015 elections, APC came up with a propaganda that they have done the turn around maintenance of that refinery with local engineers and at a cheaper rate.

They said there was no need to involve foreigners in thr TAM as it can easily be done by our local engineers. They created the impression that the refinery is already working.

But soon their lies caught up with them and the refinery never made any profit, rather it was incurring debts running in billions.

Today the same lieing APC is telling us that they want to bring in expatriates to do the turn around maintenance with $1.5B and the question I ask is how much does it cost to build a new refinery that you want to do maintenance with $1.5B on a comatose structure?

Shell recently sold their refinery that has a higher refining capacity for $2B.

Buhari is simply corruption personified.

Not up to $2B, rather $1.2billion
