They have started again (11% bond)
Something they should’ve done since
Now the rest remaining in the market will jump out undecided
Abi we should try what the trading guru said ?
Invest in this and collect loan ?

The price will go up after listing, thereby reducing the yield.

11% is not much, quite a number of stocks have earning yield of over 20% and dividend yield of over 10%

Well....personally ..I will jump out of Guiness in favour of one of the 3 you've mentioned.
At 55% capital gain it has done well for you.

If I were in your shoes... I will wait to see if Zenith or UBA will give me 15% plus in dividend yield based on reduction in share price over the next 1 month and I will seek to get in with funds from sale of Guiness. Zenith provided this opportunity 2 days ago when it sold at 19.50 - 20.00 for a couple of
minutes.

I haven't mentioned UCAP cos I approach it with a 'risk provision' of 28.57% reduction in future dividend. And when I do this.... its Div Yield is 11% which falls short of the 15% target I have.

This is what 'I' will do.... please do your DD to determine what 'You' will do...

I started investing on the NSE about a year ago and I’ve never sold any of my purchases. My plan was never to sell anything and just continue to collect and reinvest dividends for 20 years, but oga Guinness is giving me sleepless nights now.

Currently up 55% on my Guinness investment but this one that oga Guinness has refused to reinstate dividends I am considering selling. I actually think there UBA, UCAP, and Zenith are not a bad investment to replace Guinness. Should I see? Anyone with any advice?

Most stock still trading under the 20 days and 50 days moving average.
I just feel it is not the right time to start accumulating, remember 2018.

This opinion may not apply to a few stock.

2020 was a good year for fund managers, that might not happen in 2021. It is prudent to under estimate your expected gains

Nothing major..
I've assumed 'per chance' reduction in dividend from 70k to 50k going fwd which is a 20k drop (with recent experience with UBA & Afriprud in mind) .
This amounts to approx. 28.57% reduction. Working out Div yield at current price with this provision will be 11%. If you work it out with 70k div, then Div Yield = 14% approx which is still below 15%.
In my books UCap will need to trade at 3.30 for me to expand my holding, giving me 15% Div Yield with my risk provision. And I'm patient... it's a long game...
If they repeat 70k dividend for 2021 FYE , that will put me at 21% Div Yield with my risk provision.

These are strictly my permutations for UCap.... DD is advised as usual.

From 32 to 32.50........

This market can be unpredictable.......no small thanks to GTB that didn't pay lesser dividend compared to Zee's........
To even say this GTB sold for 28 just 2 days ago....... tongue

ACCESS Bank should be next in line...........to release result.........UBA already gave Access an edge as a result of the low Dividend declared(by UBA)........
