Despite being a rookie, I must commend Arteta 's disciplinary stances. Dropping somebody like Auba for disciplinary reason was commendable. It perfectly sent messages to other players.

BTW I read that Auba was the first to drove home on Sunday and didn't partake in the team celebration after the match.
Such an ego.

I believe Auba recognises the need for strict discipline unless even his fellow players will roast him -the likes of Xhaka and Tierney etc.

His driving home early must have been a way of expressing remorse.

Just got to watch the highlights since I missed the match.

The positives I can take from that match is that were creating loads and loads of chances. The negatives is that we need to make our chances count. How Auba gets to miss all those chances is really shocking. Also, our forwards and attacking midfielder needs to be ruthless too.
We are getting to the tougher stage in uel and not converting our decent chances will/might prove too costly for us

When me being Auba's number 1 fan here was talking about arsenal needing a striker who offers more than what he's currently offering us; someone here said I was doing beer parlor analysis.

I couldn't watch the first half yesterday, but I saw the second half. I was mad seeing Auba missing that tru ball he got in the second. I mean how can u run few meters with the ball then suddenly decide to play the ball with Ur weaker left foot when u could've blasted it home with Ur right foot?

His pressing upfront is also questionable especially seeing what Lacazette does when he plays that CF position , forcing either the opposing keeper or defender to give the ball away with how hard he presses them.

Yesterday match also confirmed my earlier position that Bellerin is now useless , we should try and get another RB who should slug it out with Cedric; watching Bellrin play the nonesense he’s playing now just annoys me

Arteta better groom either Moller, Balogun or even Martinelli (my preference ) as the CF. Anything Auba, I don comot my hand o.

Lacazette presses better and holds the ball better. But Auba gets more into scoring positions and converts better than Lacazette.

If Auba plays he has a high probability of scoring himself as he gets into spaces. If Lacazette plays he needs others to do the scoring, while he creates the spaces.

So it depends on what the manager wants and the other players that are available. Lacazette needs wingers/midfielders who can finish well (Martinelli, Pepe, Odegaard), while Auba needs wingers/midfielders who can create chances well (Saka, ESR, Willian).

Not necessarily an easy draw especially if you have followed our inconsistencies this season, look no further than our position in the league to understand why. We have an uncanny ability to complicate very easy situations. It is a winnable draw but we must focus..

it really surprises me Auba went for a chip wen he would have just bend it to the far right corner with his right foot. In fact, he should have buried one of the numerous chances he had. No excuses. Well, I think for next season, we'll have another brand of striker, whether within or from outside. I believe he and someone will slug it out for the cf spot next season while laca will be sold. Hopefully, the person brings all those attributes we need In a striker.

As for bellerin, I just hope PSG drop money make him dey go. Tho, I didn't watch ystdy game but my friends who did said he was still subpar again. We just need to sell that guy.

Yeah, I have a feeling Arteta is grooming Martinelli for that Cf role. Reason he hasn't featured much. I'm feeling that auba and martinelli will slug out the cf role next season. Fingers crossed tho. We need to slowly phase out Auba and make way for a more rounded striker

I'm much aware of our inconsistency this season, that is why i say my"instinct"told me so.Our position in the league does'nt really reflect in our previous cup competitions that is why we were able to win fa cups, and i believe this season will favour us like others.
