If I defer and my visa is approved would it cover for the new period i.e from september till when I Finish my studies, i though the visa will oy cover the approved period i.e May till the end, Please I can someone explain how the visa durations work. Thanks

recxa:
Defer your admission till August/September and then check online for your school's refund policy[for the fees]. There are due dates for withdrawing from a program, you have to pay attention to that so you would not lose your money. I deferred for a term and even after that, I had to resume online due to the visa not being ready.

Thank you very much for the information.

Glasses08:
You don'thave space to upload all individually but there are different segments for different documents. Like
Proof of funds goes in one side and other client info goes on another side.

What I did was to first finish with my LOE and SOP on the sameword document then uploaded the documents with then on the same word and then I added page numbers. When I was sure everything looked fine, I proceeded to insert the respective page numbers in the LOE and SOP.

Table of content will be on the first page of the pdf then other documents follow in the sequence which they were arranged in the table. After you are sure there are no more edits then save as PDF , but remember you have 4mb restriction on each pdf file so that's where compressing comes in till you get your desired size.

Search table of content on this thread, I am sure something will come up. I think Lekiboboe posted something about it.

All the best.

Sorry about the delay. While we await the gurus on the platform to advise, I think you should order gcms notes so you have a full picture of the reason for the denial before reapplying. Was it visiting visa or study permit? Did IRCC request for the children's medical or you did upfront medicals? It shall end in praise by God's grace. Amen.

Allgoodies21:
Greetings to the gurus and all well-meaning contributors to this forum.

I made a mistake with my children application and I feel it resulted to the delay in their visa.

I got a study permit to start the winter class and after getting my visa, I applied for my children that they would now travel with me. Although I had just 2 when I submitted my application last year, I have had another baby before my visa approval. So, I applied for all 3.

The reason being that when I applied, there was no covid so I used that as a reason and also added that the children were still young 6yrs, 4yrs and 4 months.
Long story short, they requested for their medicals which was updated to pass 3 days after medicals. 5 days later I received their refusals with the reason below:

I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on your travel history.

• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on your family ties in Canada and in your country of residence.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on the length of your proposed stay in Canada.

Except for my little baby, others have visited the shenghen zone with their visa, UK, Dubai, Kenya, South Africa and presently have 2 years UK visa. Although they have had US visa refusals which was acknowledged.

I went back to the LOE I submitted and noticed that I submitted a wrong LOE. I submitted the one I wrote with my spouse joining the trip. But he vehemently refused because of his new contract and said he would only consider visiting when he is through with his current contract with no date in view. I am wondering if the contradicting LOE with his details and his letter of sponsorship raised the VO’s concern for the refusal.

I really want to travel with my kids because he won’t be on ground to care for them. I wanted to send in the application again with the updated LOE and another letter addressing the VO’s concern but someone referred me to Nairaland. Please you all should give your advice.

Good morning. Please can you submit the bank statement of your sponsor to show both the tuition and living expenses or one must be from the students account?
Also would transferring huge amount of money to the student account within that short time to show statement of 4 months cause a red flag?

Thanks so much for your response. I can’t defer the admission again because I already enrolled as a student.

I don’t want to pay my fee now because Incase the study permit is denied I will be told to complete my program virtually .

Please is there any way I can put pressure on the embassy so as to know my application status ? Also can you provide the link to the webform. Thanks so much

Last week i got my acceptance letter to MSVU, Nova Scotia and I'm trying to gather as many information as possible before starting my student permit process and I have these few questions to ask:
1. Can I use a personal investment Bank statement as proof of funds?
2. Asides bank statement, what other things are required of my sponsor to show proof of funds?
3. Can i have more than 1 sponsor?
4. My school fee is about 12000CAD, how much of CAD should I have as proof of funds?
5. Do i have to pay Tuition before leaving Nigeria?
And what other things/documents should i have before starting my online application?

ABOUT RENEWING PASSPORT
Passport was to expire February 2021 and I applied November 2020, was advised to apply with the old one while I try to process the renewal before I get a response from IRCC.

There's also a thread on Nairaland for obtaining international Passport in Nigeria, check there for people's post(don't go and pay money to anybody there o as there are many post saying DM me for fast processing so thread carefully)
Got my passport early this year(2021) so I just sent the new data page via webform to IRCC and also included it in my account when they sent request for NSE.

Copied from @JustMellow: There is no worries applying with the soon to expire passport. Prior to submitting your application and before a final decision is made, you should have been able to renew it and update IRCC via CSE so it can be included to your file. This means when the PPR drops, you will only have to send the renewed passport for stamping.
It won't be advisable to send a soon to expire passport for stamping as the visa will be issued based on the duration of the PP.

ABOUT NSE REQUIREMENTS
Didn't have IELTS, read a post where someone said he submitted letter of waiver from his Uni so I did same and included a little background story and also included the page from my proposed school in Canada's website where they said Nigerians
are exempted from submitting proof of English proficiency.
Uploaded my bank statement certificate
Sponsor isn't based in Nigeria so no MBS, he requested a reference letter from his bank and I attached with 12 months bank statements(there statement isn't voluminous like ours for Naija, 1 page or max or 2 pages was okay for one month).
Basically reuploaded everything I uploaded for Financial support before incase they decide to only use NSE documents and I put a note to explain with table of content as well.

MEDICAL EXPERIENCE AT QLIFE
Booked online and also made payment online of 40,000. Didn't receive any confirmation mail so I placed a call through to confirm my slot and also sent a mail so it can be documented (auditors always need physical evidence ). I was actually offered another date before 6th of March but it was a weekday and I didn't want to skip work so I declined. (Just incase you don't see any date that's close enough on the site, you can call to confirm just incase someone cancelled and they can fix you in the slot)

Arrived qlife at about 7:45 on the Saturday, already met people seated, I think I was number 15 or thereabout. Washed hands did the normal covid protocols, signed in them was handed a white slip to fill and was asked to sit and wait.  Someone came to collect our international passport, the white slip that was given to us and the medical request form (this isn't needed if it's an upfront medical). Figured others that were there earlier had been attended to and they were called in to start the process. Sat under the canopy for about 30 to 45 minutes before they came to call the second set in. At the reception we were asked to fill a form and our photographs were taken, then we were called to confirm our names and date of birth and then handed back our passport,e-medical slip, urine bottle and a form for the doctor and nurses to fill as we were being attended to. Went to see someone else to confirm payment, she asked for payment slip which she sighted and kept and wrote a receipt for me then gave me 3 colored circle tags for Blood, vitals and vision test and xray. We were called in according to the numbers on the tags, the process was quite fast for me though. I think all that took about another 45 minutes to 1 hour and then I finally saw the doctor, he asked some normal health questions and checked for some other things. The nurses and doctor were quite professional, they ensured they explain what they are about to do before they proceed. I liked that cause it prepared my mind for what I was expecting.

Returned the urine bottle and the medical form back to the receptionist and was told that was the end of the process. I think I left there around 10 a.m or thereabout.

ENSURE YOU GO WITH YOUR ORIGINAL PASSPORT OR A COPY AND DON'T FORGET TO ASK FOR IT BEFORE LEAVING ENEN THOUGH IT SHOULD BE HANDED OVER TO YOU BEFORE THE TEST ENDS. SENT THE E-MEDICAL SHEET TO NAIROBI AND SOME OTHER OFFICES VIA WEBFORM AND MAIL.

I WISH EVERYONE ON THIS JOURNEY GOD'S FAVOUR. IT WILL DEFINITELY END IN PRAISES.

Transfer your living expenses to your own bank account.

Do not transfer in lump sums, transfer for a period of 4months

Do you mean I should wait within 4 months for the transfers? That is a long time since Fall starts September
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 18 by Nobody: 1:47pm On Mar 20, 2021
It's advisable to ask your sponsor to transfer the living expenses to your personal account this shows the VO that he is really willign to make funds available to you nd also that you have access to the money.

If you still have time you can ask him to spread the living expenses I.e pay it in bits over the period of 4 months into your account. If not he can transfer it once, just ensure it comes directly from his account showing his name, you explain it in your LOE and show the debit in your sponsor's account and the credit in your own account. If he is writing a letter of sponsorship, he should also state that he paid so and so amount into your account on the said date which is for your living expenses.

I talked about this in my earlier post, you should try and read previous messages. My sponsor transferred my LE to me a week before I submitted my application and I did all I mentioned above and more. Also note that the money should remain in your account till you are approved just incase the VO decides to ask for an updated statement and to avoid stories that touch.

IT WILL END IN PRAISE.
