Paul's message is the Lord's message, just as Jesus was opposed on earth about his teachings so his apostles teachings are opposed.
Jesus said a servant can not be greater than his master, if they rejected Jesus teachings so would they also reject his disciples teachings, paul who is unarguably one of the greatest apostles of Jesus suffered most for the gospel, some tried to twist his teachings, others denied it outright.

But why was paul's teachings so hated and rejected? It is because paul presented the gospel in its raw form, because the gospel does not allow human pride or achievements neither does it involve applauding man's ability but exposes man's evilness as well as declaring God's goodness.

2 Timothy 2:8-10 Remember that Jesus Christ of the seed of David was raised from the dead according to my gospel:
Wherein I suffer trouble, as an evil doer, even unto bonds; but the word of God is not bound.
Therefore I endure all things for the elect's sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.

It is God's goodness that Jesus should die for these evil humans so that if they believe in Jesus they should be saved.

Because humans have this false idea of their goodness, they hate to hear the fact that their, righteousness, and goodness is thrash in redeeming themselves.
Humans what to hear what they can do to improve themselves or make themselves better, the truth is heart breaking to them, the truth presents clearly that there is nothing humans can do about their condition, that their only hope lies with God.
Many philosophy of self improvements, self righteousness, discipline, ethics and others has surfaced but they are all empty with regards to mans condition, it does not address man's need only Jesus the son of God can address that need.

Jesus addressed this need through his death and resurrection but only those who put their faith in Christ will have this need covered.
This is paul's gospel and the reason he was hated and his messages rejected.

Paul's message is clear, faith alone on Christ alone lies the solution of the fallen man.

Paul's gospel is Jesus gospel, those who reject this gospel has rejected Christ and the anger of God is upon them.

Jesus Christ addressed this by telling you to stay away from all doctrines and traditions of men that do not conform to His teachings. He warned you against feeding yourself such teachings.

Mark 7 vs 1-13 (ERV)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Now when the Pharisees gathered to him, with some of the scribes who had come from Jerusalem,
2. they saw that some of his disciples ate with hands that were defiled, that is, unwashed.
3. (For the Pharisees and all the Jews do not eat unless they wash their hands properly,[a] holding to the tradition of the elders,
4. and when they come from the marketplace, they do not eat unless they wash. And there are many other traditions that they observe, such as the washing of cups and pots and copper vessels and dining couches.[c])
5.
And the Pharisees and the scribes asked him, “Why do your disciples not walk according to the tradition of the elders, but eat with defiled hands?”
6. And he said to them, “Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written,
“‘This people honors me with their lips,
but their heart is far from me;

7. in vain do they worship me,
teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’

8. You leave the commandment of God and hold to the (doctrines and rules)** tradition of men.”
9. And he said to them, “You have a fine way of rejecting the commandment of God in order to establish your tradition!
10. For Moses said, ‘Honor your father and your mother’; and, ‘Whoever reviles father or mother must surely die.’
11. But you say, ‘If a man tells his father or his mother, “Whatever you would have gained from me is Corban”’ (that is, given to God)[d]—
12. then you no longer permit him to do anything for his father or mother,
13. thus making void the word of God by your tradition that you have handed down. And many such things you do.”

Paul's gospel is Jesus gospel, those who reject this gospel have rejected Christ and the anger of God is upon them.
Paul's letters were written to an audience of BELIEVERS so what he wrote of was not the Gospel as taught by Jesus Christ since, obviously, that teaching is meant for those who do not already know it. undecided
Instead, Paul wrote of His views and ideas concerning the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the concerns of the people of his time, and that view should never replace the actual Gospel of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ as preached by Jesus Christ, the Word of God, Himself. undecided

The Gospel of the Kingdom of God remains as it is written in the 4 Gospels. Paul's letters, which He wrote, again, to BELIEVERS of his time, were his ideas/views/opinions from his experience on issues(cultural and personal) that his audience may have had at the time. His opinions should never be used to try to explain or circumvent the acceptance(trusting) and obedience of the teachings of Jesus Christ Himself. undecided

All the Apostles of Jesus were unlettered (not scholars of the scriptures) {Act 4:13} so Jesus need an Apostle who will propagate the Good News among the gentiles with efficacy.
As a young Pharisee who is versed in the law and well informed to expatiate on the purpose for which the Christ must suffer, die and be resurrected, Paul will be a useful tool in Jesus' hands {Act 22:3} so Jesus purposely appointed Paul as the Apostle over the nations! Act 9:11 compare to 1Timothy 2:7
So while Peter and the other 11 were chosen to TEACH the Jews (who are circumcised according to the Mosaic law) Paul is the Apostle Jesus chose to TEACH all the uncircumcised but that pick interest in Jesus! Galatians 2:7
That's why Paul reproved Peter bitterly when he (Peter) misbehaved towards the gentiles who accepted the Lord {Galatians 2:11-14} what was Peter's response afterwards? Well he commended Paul and referred to him as a beloved brother in the Lord {2Peter 3:15} but why did Peter commend a disciple who never walked with Jesus yet reproved him publicly like that?
Well Peter remembered Jesus' own words when he said "whoever stumbles one of these little ones who have faith (in Jesus) it would be better for him if a millstone that is turned by donkey were tied to his neck and he were pitched into the sea" Mark 9:42

So Peter knew Paul's counsel that day is from God's Holy Spirit because that's exactly what Jesus would have done if he was present!

Let everyone know that Apostle Paul is Jesus' chosen vessel to TEACH us how to worship the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob acceptably, therefore whoever contradicts Paul's teachings has turned his back on Lord Jesus the one who singlehandedly chose Paul to TEACH gentiles!

May you have PEACE! smiley

That is how the Language of Law is to lay-men, the direct literal English meaning is not the same in Law Speak eg Justified, Consideration, Deed, Consequence, End, law, Consent, Bonds etc have Needle Prick Definitions in the Language of Law.

And all of Paul's Writing is in the Language of Law not Use of English Texts!

Those letters do not teach the gospel so anyone leaning on that for the Truth of God is thoroughly deceived. Just when they think they understand, another statement of his is in conflict with their original thought!

But the Settlement of his writings lies in the fact that it must be Read and Interpreted by Paul's own eyes which is by a Lawyer's Eyes or by A Legal Mind not an ordinary one which is were you too are in confusion as the other 2 Billion!

Kobojunkie:

By reason of his Passion to Enforce The Law which was was what made him enter into the employment of The Lord, it was his job as a Lawyer TO KNOW THE LAW AND APPLY OR EXECUTE IT from case to case.

And every case is established by Facts thus, it is his job and call as A Lawyer to Apply The Relevant Laws to the Relevant Facts with Accuracy and Precision.

Because The Law is Precise and "Just is" Must be Precise, With No Margin of Error lest A Wrong is Done.

The Law will not Allow the Doing of A Wrong, thus, The Law Does No Wrong and further it's Handlers Must Do No Wrong!

Hence Lawyer Paul must carefully distill issues without doing a wrong, which he successfully accomplished!

Let me put this in proper perspective...

Judaism and christianity are two different religions. Nobody should ever make a mistake about it. Judaism is a unitiary belief system while christianity is a duality. This means that the jews believe in only one God and lord who created and is responsible for both good and evil. While the christians believe in 3+1 gods. The three gods that make up in trinity and satan who is an equal opposite of the trinity. .The idea of satan in judaism is one who has no power or will outside that which God has given him and only those what God has permitted him to do and is very much part of God.

God gave mankind his laws and commandments to live by, the jews accepted it and wrote them down to pass on from generation to generation so they dont forget it for God choose them to be his people. He had a convenant with them, they heard his voice in the wildernessbut they did not see any image. They promised to obey his commandments and not to worship any other God apart from him.

Fast forward thousand of years later a scallywag with the name paul is writting letter to friends and community to discard Gods laws and believe in a messiah who came to change Gods laws(he never met jesus in the physical) he got this idea because he had a epileptic fist...so this man out of no where, he never studied the Torah and was never a rabbi..

It has come to men choosing paul over the creators laws.

Who da Bleep is paul to say men should no longer keep Gods commandments. Which tge creators said is for ever..

You guys should continue....follow paul ignore the creators commandments..

Because lay men can not comprehend Legal Writing and Legal Language!
you can be knowledgeable in one country's legal writing yet completely ignorant of another.
The Jews who understood the law knew that no man can be justified by it. You gentiles with your unrighteous laws cannot understand the law hence you assume the law given to moses is like you sinful laws.

Galatians 2:15-16 We who are Jews by nature, and not sinners of the Gentiles,
Knowing that a man is not justified by the works
of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

If paul and the Jews who are more qualified than you, can come to this conclusion about the law, then who are you an ignorant gentile that thinks he can attain righteous by works?

It is best you humble yourself to learn instead of show casing ignorance about the laws of God.
Re: Why People Oppose Paul's Teachings? by livingchrist: 10:05pm On Mar 20, 2021
If the law given by God to moses can justify any man ask yourself did Jesus ask people to place their trust on him?

You cant be trusting of something else and Christ no,
Paul and the believing Jews fled to put their faith in Christ knowing fully well that they cannot be justified by the works of the law.

It's only the laws of man that one can be perfect not before God. When it comes to God's law everyone is a failure, in fact it takes a completely Godlike perfection to fulfill the law. Only Jesus is called the righteous man because he alone of all humans could fulfill the law without breaking any no one else, that is because jesus human nature was perfect and his was God also.

The stand of the law is so high that our best effort would be like mocking the law, the law is a teacher, a teacher of men to lead them to christ.
Only those who sincerely wants to keep the law will understand that no one can be righteous by law keeping but the hypocrites and pretenders would not be lead to Christ because they made up a law of their own, the one that make them justify themselves as righteous, that is why they assume their efforts will cover their assumed little failures not knowing that the law does not even tolerate a spec of error or even mistake, as far as the law is concerned you must be be sparkingly perfect without any faults or error or mistake whatsoever and that must be consistent throughout your entire life everyone knows this is absolutely impossible because we are humans, humans are sinners by nature, you dont expect fish to leave on land all the days of days of its life.

The law is not a joke, it reveals God's standard of judgment, so imagine you as a human standing before God to be judged with that standard, you will instantly know you are condemned already,
That is why the gospel says that those who do not believe on Jesus are condemned already, that is because they will be judged based on God's standard of complete perfection and consistency but those who put their faith in Christ has automatically escape the jugdment all together but will only be judged by the law of christ.

That is why I smh when someone is talking ignorantly about the law, bross it's not about knowing the law or being a lawyer who cares, but is about keeping the law, preach about the law from morning till night, it means nothing, after condemning others by pointing out their errors, but in secret you have one or two lust or sin addiction, or any secret sin you (according to you,) sometimes mistakenly commit, dont bother yourself, you are as guilty as the everyday sinners plus yours is worse because you appear as a guide to sinners but an hypocrite secretely.

If the law given by God to moses can justify any man ask yourself did Jesus ask people to place their trust on him?
You, a gentile, living outside of the land of Canaan, have never had any connections, sanctioned by God Himself to the Law of Moses, the agreement, He, God, made with those of the Blood of Jacob(and foreigners living in the land of Canaan with them. So, stop thinking about a Law you were never bound to. Instead, start thinking of the New Covenant, Jesus Christ, the agreement God chose to make with you instead - the only Law that applies as far as the Kingdom of God. undecided
livingchrist:
You cant be trusting of something else and Christ no,
Paul and the believing Jews fled to put their faith in Christ knowing fully well that they cannot be justified by the works of the law.
Actually, in the Old Testament you are in fact told of men such as Job, who was of the Old Covenant and were made righteous by their works done in the obedience of the commandments.

Job 1 vs 6-11(ERV)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
6. Then the day came for the angels[a] to meet with the Lord. Even Satan was there with them.
7. The Lord said to Satan, “Where have you been?”
Satan answered the Lord, “I have been roaming around the earth, going from place to place.”
8. Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you noticed my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him. He is a good, faithful man. He respects God and refuses to do evil.”
9. Satan answered the Lord, “But Job has a good reason to respect you.
10. You always protect him, his family, and everything he has. You have blessed him and made him successful in everything he does. He is so wealthy that his herds and flocks are all over the country.
11. But if you were to destroy everything he has, I promise you that he would curse you to your face.”
So, I am afraid you are deceived if you believe that no one of those in the Old Covenant were able to become righteous through the works done in obedience of the Old Covenant laws.
livingchrist:
It's only the laws of man that one can be perfect not before God. When it comes to God's law everyone is a failure, in fact it takes a completely Godlike perfection to fulfill the law.
Again, you are wrong!
In Ezekiel 18, God Almighty SWORE BY HIS VERY OWN NAME when He revealed that those who are righteous, who do good works, will not die. In the same chapter, God goes on in detail of the works of the righteous man.

True Justice
Ezekiel 18 vs 1-20 (ERV)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. The word of the Lord came to me. He said,
2. “Why do you people say this proverb: ‘The parents ate the sour grapes, but the children got the sour taste’[a]?”
3. But the Lord God says, “By my life, I swear that people in Israel will not think this proverb is true anymore!
4. I will treat everyone, child and parent, just the same. The one who sins is the one who will die!
5. “A person who is good will live! He is fair and does what is right.
6. He doesn’t go to the mountains to share food offered to idols. He doesn’t pray to those filthy idols in Israel. He doesn’t commit adultery with his neighbor’s wife or with a woman during her period.
7. He doesn’t take advantage of others. If someone borrows money from him, he might take something of value before he gives the money. But when that person pays him back, he returns what he took. He gives food to the hungry and clothes to people who need them.
8. If someone wants to borrow money from him, he lends the money and doesn’t charge interest on the loan. He refuses to be crooked. He is always fair with everyone. People can trust him.
9. He obeys my laws and studies my rules so that he can learn to be fair and dependable. He is good, so he will live.” This is what the Lord God said.
10. “But someone like that might have a son who does not do any of these good things. The son steals things and kills people.
11. He does things his father never did. He goes to the mountains and eats foods offered to false gods. He commits the sin of adultery with his neighbor’s wife.
12. He mistreats poor, helpless people. He takes advantage of them. When a debt is paid, he does not give back what he took from them. He prays to filthy idols and does other terrible things.
13. He lends money to people who need it, but he forces them to pay interest on the loan. The evil son will not be allowed to live. He will be put to death because he did such terrible things, and he will be responsible for his own death.
14. “Now, that evil son might also have a son. But this son sees the bad things his father did, and he refuses to live as his father did. He treats people fairly.
15. He does not go to the mountains and eat foods offered to false gods. He does not pray to filthy idols in Israel. He does not commit the sin of adultery with his neighbor’s wife.
16. He does not take advantage of people. If someone borrows money from him, the good son takes something of value and then gives the other person the money. When that person pays him back, the good son gives back what he took. The good son gives food to hungry people, and he gives clothes to those who need them.
17. He helps the poor. If people want to borrow money, the good son lends them the money, and he does not charge interest on the loan. He obeys my laws and follows them. He will not be put to death for his father’s sins. The good son will live.
18. The father hurts people and steals things. He never does anything good for my people! He will die because of his own sins.
19. “You might ask, ‘Why will the son not be punished for his father’s sins?’ The reason is that the son was fair and did good things. He very carefully obeyed my laws, so he will live.
20. The one who sins is the one who will be put to death. A son will not be punished for his father’s sins, and a father will not be punished for his son’s sins. A good man’s goodness belongs to him alone, and a bad man’s evil belongs to him alone.

Israel was holiness unto the Lord, and the firstfruits of his increase: all that devour him shall offend; evil shall come upon them, saith the Lord.

4 Hear ye the word of the Lord, O house of Jacob, and all the families of the house of Israel:

5 Thus saith the Lord, What iniquity have your fathers found in me, that they are gone far from me, and have walked after vanity, and are become vain?

6 Neither said they, Where is the Lord
that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, that led us through the wilderness, through a land of deserts and of pits, through a land of drought, and of the shadow of death, through a land that no man passed through, and where no man dwelt?

7 And I brought you into a plentiful country, to eat the fruit thereof and the goodness thereof; but when ye entered, ye defiled my land, and made mine heritage an abomination.

8 The priests said not, Where is the Lord? and they that handle the law knew me not: the pastors also transgressed against me, and the prophets prophesied by Baal, and walked after things that do not profit.

9 Wherefore I will yet plead with you, saith the Lord, and with your children's children will I plead.

10 For pass over the isles of Chittim, and see; and send unto Kedar, and consider diligently, and see if there be such a thing.

11 Hath a nation changed their gods, which are yet no gods? but my people have changed their glory for that which doth not profit.

12 Be astonished, O ye heavens, at this, and be horribly afraid, be ye very desolate, saith the Lord.

13 For my people have committed two evils; THEY HAVE FORSAKEN ME THE FOUNTAIN OF LIVING WATERS, is The Lord Jesus Not The Same Fountain of Living Waters as He Told the Samaritan Woman?

Chapter 3
22 For my people is foolish, they have not known me; they are sottish children, and they have none understanding: THEY ARE WISE TO DO EVIL, BUT TO DO GOOD THEY HAVE NO KNOWLEDGE.

Run ye to and fro through the streets of Jerusalem, and see now, and know, and seek in the broad places thereof, if ye can find a man, if there be any that executeth judgment, that seeketh the truth; and I will pardon it.

Chapter 5
Therefore I said, Surely these are poor; they are foolish: for they know not the way of the Lord, nor the judgment of their God.

For among my people are found wicked men: they lay wait, as he that setteth snares; they set a trap, they catch men.

27 As a cage is full of birds, so are their houses full of deceit: therefore they are become great, and waxen rich.

28 They are waxen fat, they shine: yea, they overpass the deeds of the wicked: they judge not the cause, the cause of the fatherless, yet they prosper; and the right of the needy do they not judge.

30 A wonderful and horrible thing is committed in the land;

31 The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; AND MY PEOPLE LOVE TO HAVE IT SO: and what will ye do in the end thereof?

So please Answer Me Truthfully, Which Law and Whose Law are they Applying?

livingchrist:

You gentiles with your unrighteous laws cannot understand the law hence you assume the law given to moses is like you sinful laws.

I do not subscribe to the laws every other person has because they are all Shheeeet and Evil!

God Wrote and Gave Moses THE BESTEST AND THE MOST RIGHTEOUSEST LAWS EVER!

No law on earth compares to it neither do they even come close to it.

So those Laws are My Personal Laws!

livingchrist:

As I said lay men can not comprehend Paul's Writings for I just finished this same issue with ken4Christ and he could not rebut my presentation of what Paul Truly Exposited.

He just kept running around in circles and even cheated by giving me a wicked burden to discharge, which I did and he still could not answer, but kept on repeating himself like it was a Chant and incantation and in end resorted to insult!

Anyway if you think you could do fare better, I'm up for it, but before you proceed I suggest you look at all he said because my own responses would not be changing!

Other examples of Old Covenant Law Jews who were deemed righteous by their works

1. Zechariah, and his wife, Elizabeth, both of them Old covenant Jews, was introduced as righteous folks

Luke 1 vs 5-7 (ERV)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
5. In the days of Herod, king of Judea, there was a priest named Zechariah,[a] of the division of Abijah. And he had a wife from the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elizabeth.
6. And they were both righteous before God, walking blamelessly in all the commandments and statutes of the Lord.
7. But they had no child, because Elizabeth was barren, and both were advanced in years.

2. Joseph, the husband of Mary, an Old covenant Jew, was introduced as a righteous man

Matthew 1 vs 19-20 (ESV)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
19. And her husband Joseph, being a just man and unwilling to put her to shame, resolved to divorce her quietly.
20. But as he considered these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not fear to take Mary as your wife, for that which is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.

3. Simeon, an Old covenant Jew, was introduced as a righteous man

Luke 2 vs 25-35 (ESV)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
25. Now there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon, and this man was righteous and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him.
26. And it had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not see death before he had seen the Lord's Christ.
27. And he came in the Spirit into the temple, and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, to do for him according to the custom of the Law,
28. he took him up in his arms and blessed God and said,
29. “Lord, now you are letting your servant[e] depart in peace, according to your word;
30. for my eyes have seen your salvation
31. that you have prepared in the presence of all peoples,
32. a light for revelation to the Gentiles, and for glory to your people Israel.”

33. And his father and his mother marveled at what was said about him.
34. And Simeon blessed them and said to Mary his mother, “Behold, this child is appointed for the fall and rising of many in Israel, and for a sign that is opposed
35. (and a sword will pierce through your own soul also), so that thoughts from many hearts may be revealed.”

4. Joseph from the Jewish town of Arimathea was introduced as a righteous man

Luke 23 vs 50-35 (ESV)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
50. Now there was a man named Joseph, from the Jewish town of Arimathea. He was a member of the council, a good and righteous man,
51. who had not consented to their decision and action, and he was looking for the kingdom of God.
52. This man went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus.

All those who you are told of in your Bible there were listed as becoming righteous through their obedience of God's commandments, statutes and rules - doing works He commanded of them in the Old Covenant. undecided

Even Abraham in the Bible did the exact same, according to God Himself. Abraham was declared righteous by God because Abahram obeyed God's commands to Him, and doings the works God gave Him to do. Genesis 26 vs 3-5.
