Nigerian singer, David Adeleke better known as Davido has opened up on how much he was paid for featuring in the recently released Hollywood movie, Coming 2 America.
Davido made his debut in the Hollywood movie which is a sequel to Hollywood’s 1988 American romantic comedy, Coming To America.



Davido performed ‘Assurance’ in a wedding gathering as star actors from the Coming 2 America movie walked the aisle.

In a recent interview, the singer disclosed how he got the role for the movie.



In an exclusive chat on Ionwannatalk Podcast, the Assurance crooner stated that he was first contacted by his agent during one of his visits to Atlanta.
Davido said that he received an email from his agent offering a deal from the 'Coming 2 America' team and the next day, he got a cheque.

The singer revealed he got paid $15,000 (approx, 5.7 million naira) a day on the set of 'Coming 2 America'.



"On set, you get 15 racks a day bro! So in this whole time, I am still in disbelief. So my manager comes and goes we start shooting in November," Davido said.



Speaking about his on-set experience, Davido disclosed that he was treated to a warm reception at Tyler Perry's studios where the film was shot.



He got his own trailer with Nigerian food on order.

Meanwhile, Davido also stated that he is set to feature in another Hollywood movie after making his debut in 'Coming 2 America'.



The singer also opened up on his career, early beginnings and burgeoning Hollywood catalogue.



During the interview, the 28-year-old revealed that he would be playing the role of a taxi driver in a yet-to-be-identified film directed by ace filmmaker, Edward Zick.

Davido also said he has two studio albums recorded, adding that he’s only waiting on the right time to put them out. According to him, an extended play (EP) for which he partnered Chris Brown, US R&B star, is also in the works.



“Luckily for me, a lot of hits came out of ‘A Better Time’ (ABT). The first video I shot on ABT was me and Chris Brown. I’ve noticed that, with music, you have to plan especially when you’re releasing an album,” Davido said.



“We’re in an industry where you have hit after hit. After you drop this, they want you to drop that. With me right now, I have two albums already made. I have movies coming out so I think I want to chill,” he said.
