My 2002 Highlander Lost Control Almost Killed Me by Naijabazeline: 5:42pm On Mar 24, 2021
While on my way back home last night after getting my car fixed from the mechs, was approaching a junction so I tapped on break next thing I heard a loud “Gbim sound” my highlander lost control and faced back and refused to move.

I tried firing it didn’t move, I called my mechanic when he got there he checked under and told me it’s the axle attached to the propeller that broke. He removed the propeller then the car managed to move but at a very low speed. Has anyone experienced this on a 4 wheel drive before? And how to fix this pls help!

Yes but on Nissan Pathfinder.

Kindly ensure that your shafts were properly greased mounted.

Ensure that you personally buy the axle yourself if it requires replacement. Then lube with the appropriate oil before mounting again.

Ask the mechanic to test drive before you do.

Be well.

If you don't trust a mechanic, why patronize him?
If you don't trust any mechanic, why not start fixing cars yourself?

Let's agree you buy the diff yourself, and and it is a faulty unit, why you go ask thr mechanic to test before you do? So your life is more important to you than the mechanic life is to him abi?

Sorry about that shocked road side mechanic don't pay attention to details and that is risk we all take cry Do you need powerbank for laptop, over ten hours guaranteed and twenty hours possible. Increase your productivity and work when you like. Don't get mistaken for a Yahoo boy because of your generator noise.

I had a RAV4 4-wheel.

OP, it could be the propeller in your case.

I had the problem on the axle once. It was a "grinding" noise. It cost me 30k to get it fixed.

Please don't say trash. Sometimes installation error can cause damages too.

Why are you rooting for a system that is guaranteed to have a person ripped off? Are you corruption personified?
