Some family are strictly traditional where the man provides and the woman is the home keeper. In that case, what she makes from her job is really not for you to know or what she does with it either. As long as she’s faithfully keeping her side of the bargain and you’re keeping yours as well, peace should reign. Or so it seems.

But what we normally have these days are people (husbands) who want a traditional wife but can’t keep their eyes of her money. If you ask them to do some of the wifely duties, they will say you’re insulting them, emasculating them and the devil is using you to break up the home.

A true realistic marriage should not be rigid in roles and responsibilities. It never works in really life to be so rigid and unshakeable about who does what. Resentment all set in at some point. Everyone should help each other. Imagine if she brought her income home without hiding. Maybe that house would be completed by now and both of you would be landlords.

@ Sisisioge, this is not a Nigerian tale o! It is Ghanian, when I first saw this tale the currency was in cedis. I don't understand the OP's intentions in changing it from cedi to naira and making it look like this whole story is about him (a Nigerian couple and Nigerian woman in particular)

Without her salary, would he still not provide for his family? Would he still not take up majority of the financial responsibilities of the house? Would he still not act in the title of man of the house?

The only thing I see here being an issue is her demanding her loan for the car back. She offered that money willingly and shouldn't have requested for it. Otherwise, everything else is nonsense.
