If the revenue target set out by Lagos state is met by Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Alpha Beta Consulting. He can expect to smile to the bank in the tune of N6 billion naira monthly.

According to the sworn court affidavit filed by the former Managing Director of Alpha Beta Consulting, Dapo Apara, before the Lagos State High Court, 10% of the internal generated revenue of Lagos state has been paid as commission to Alpha Beta Consulting, owned by Bola Ahmed Tinubu, since 2003 when they were given monopoly to collect state taxes when he was the incumbent Governor.

Kindly add source of this information

Source is sworn court affidavit from Dapo Apara before Lagos State High court. The affidavit can be viewed in the link below, which states Alpha Beta collects 10% of Lagos IGR since 2003.

If they meet their target of N60 billion monthly then Bola Ahmed Tinubu can expect to receive N6 billion monthly as commission.

Imagine receiving credit alert of N6 billion every month and even after paying staff salaries in Alpha Beta, still walk away with N5 billion naira profit every month.

The agreement signed in 2003 should be scrapped and the commission reduced from 10% to 0.1%. The money is too much haba! This is what happens when there is no transparency and open bidding process. If the contract was made open for public bidding, industry players like KPMG,PWC,EY and Deloitte would have bidded to collect Lagos state taxes for 0.1%-0.5% commission.

6billion × 12 = 72billion/year. Not bad.

I don't think Ekiti state's yearly allocation is upto that.

Good luck to Lagos state.

Why should he get any percent to start with? Is there nothing called "The Internal Revenue Office" in Lagos State? What's their job? How can he be allowed to appropriate the job of this agency just to loot billions? Openly! And our kwaraption fighting president just declared him his best ally?

Lagos has an Internal Revenue Service. When he was governor in 2003 he gave Alpha Beta the monopoly to collect taxes and collect 10% of tax revenue. Any governor that changes the current arrangement will get impeached or face the Ambode treatment.

Sanwo-Olu is not serious by repealing the pension for ex-governors, but leaving this current arrangement in place. Imagine the state paying potentially N72 billion to a private organization, work that should be done by LIRS.
