Adjovi:The wicked ruled even when Jesus Christ was on earth yet Jesus Christ never opposed the wicked rulers.. instead He opposed those who would lie in the name of God instead. Did Jesus Christ not have the same passion for the people? He knew what was written in the book of proverbs by Kings(not the people) yet, Jesus Christ did not run for office or even pretend Himself a leader on this earth, why is that? Jesus Christ lived the Will of God and commanded His followers do exactly as He did. So, why did He choose to turn away from office, defeating the Roman occupiers of His time, to focus instead on serving those who would belong to Him? |

Adjovi:I have met so many of your so called humble people, and studied then and at the end. I find them wanting because over and over I reality the humility that is not of God is like paint that eventually peels to reveal it was merely a facade to begin with. God never called man to be humble in the sight of men but in His sight. Our humility and obedience was never meant for other men but for God. That is why Jesus Christ said that He was gentile and humble, not in personality, but at heart where God alone knows and sees it. |

kimco:What I suggest? I suggest that as followers of Jesus Christ, we keep the commandments /teachings of Jesus Christ just as Jesus Christ Himself instructed. |

Kobojunkie: Ah but your quotation even pointed out jesus asking leaders to humble themselves and serve as slaves. Please calm down...you are making petty mistakes |
Re: Can A Genuine Christian Be A Nigerian Politician? by Adjovi: 3:17pm On Mar 28, 2021 |
Kobojunkie: There's no way you are an humble person that your won't be humble before God. You don't even know what you are saying self. Keep praying that Nigeria should be better without working towards it ok. As Nigeria dey like this they sweet you na. |
Re: Can A Genuine Christian Be A Nigerian Politician? by Adjovi: 3:18pm On Mar 28, 2021 |
kimco: No mind am. This person is obviously confused. Just laying claims from the Bible with no single scripture to back it up. |
Re: Can A Genuine Christian Be A Nigerian Politician? by Kobojunkie: 3:19pm On Mar 28, 2021 |
kimco:When Jesus Christ was on earth, His people were enslaved by wicked rulers, women raped and the whole shebang, yet Jesus Christ never once stood against the wicked rulers -not once. Jesus Christ went about doing good, but He never ran for office or took position with the activists o His time and there were many of them too. |
Re: Can A Genuine Christian Be A Nigerian Politician? by Adjovi: 3:20pm On Mar 28, 2021 |
Kobojunkie: Jesus had a mission for coming to the world. To redeem man. Likewise we all have our missions in this world as well. We all can't be pastors in churches. Some have been blessed with leadership qualities and some are destined to rule in this places so what's your point? 1 Like |

Re: Can A Genuine Christian Be A Nigerian Politician? by Kobojunkie: 3:22pm On Mar 28, 2021 |
Adjovi:There are many "humble" people out there who don't even believe there is a God. Are you suggesting that though unbelievers, there humility is still of God? Why should I pray for Nigeria to be better? Is there a reason why anyone who follows Jesus Christ should do that? |
Re: Can A Genuine Christian Be A Nigerian Politician? by Kobojunkie: 3:25pm On Mar 28, 2021 |
Adjovi:The very same mission Jesus Christ had He gave to you. He told you too to do the Will of His Father, just as He did. He did not call you to be pastors in churches.. He called you to become His followers, doing what He did and more. Was there a greater leader than Jesus Christ, the one who told you to instead serve others as slaves would? |
Re: Can A Genuine Christian Be A Nigerian Politician? by Kobojunkie: 3:26pm On Mar 28, 2021 |
Adjovi:The Samaritan was not a leader in community, concerned about His reputation and time, like the two Jews who went before Him. |

Kobojunkie: I was pointing out the doing good to others. How much good can you do as an individual compared to when you are the president or governor? Also Jesus didn't have a job why are you working? |

Re: Can A Genuine Christian Be A Nigerian Politician? by Kobojunkie: 3:32pm On Mar 28, 2021 |
Adjovi:That would be between you and God. However, in all of History, every man that has ever appointed himself ruler according to God's will has turned out just as wicked as those rulers before him - worse in some case. So ask yourself this , are the wicked rulers you complain about of God's Will? |
Re: Can A Genuine Christian Be A Nigerian Politician? by kimco(m): 3:32pm On Mar 28, 2021 |
Kobojunkie: Well since that cannot be, how do we regulate evil doers "controlled by satan"? Do we ignore them and let them kill our women and children? I need practical solutions not ideals... Be realistic and offer a realistic solution. Every israelite or atleast most is a trained soldier....because they know even if they are not of this world tgey are in it and require worldly solutions to worldly issues. |

Kobojunkie: That's down to you Nigerians, you always vote based on religious and ethnic affiliations instead of rightly |
Re: Can A Genuine Christian Be A Nigerian Politician? by Kobojunkie: 3:35pm On Mar 28, 2021 |
Adjovi:Jesus Christ did good to at least 5000 people that we are aware of. He was certainly not trying to compete with the government in anyway but He did a lot of good, yet all that good did not change the path His people were headed as a nation, neither did It change the political views any. As for Jesus Christ and His disciples not having jobs, that is a good observation and a topic to be left for another thread. 1 Like |

Adjovi:You are speaking to the wrong Nigerian then. I don't believe followers of Jesus Christ should occupy leadership positions of any kind so what makes you think I would vote alone religious or ethnic lines on any matter that has to do with man and the running of his world? |

Kobojunkie: Thank God you said you don't believe which means your own belief. So sit back and pray for us that mean well for Nigeria to get there . If you don't want to join at least part that God should raise men like Joshua, Daniel, David etc who will do the right. Have a nice day |

Re: Can A Genuine Christian Be A Nigerian Politician? by Adjovi: 3:43pm On Mar 28, 2021 |
Kobojunkie: Nah it should be said now. You said Jesus didn't occupy political position so Christians too should not. Jesus didn't have a job either so why are Christians searching for jobs and gaining employment? |
Re: Can A Genuine Christian Be A Nigerian Politician? by Kobojunkie: 3:50pm On Mar 28, 2021 |
Adjovi:I can only tell you of what Jesus Christ commanded and did, but not why people choose to do what they do. According to Jesus Christ, not everyone who calls Him Lord belongs to , or loves Him. He made it clear that only those who obey His commsndments are those who love Him. |
