Please house I have not been requested to do medicals but I just made a booking. One of the requirements on the IOM form is medical report form IMM1017. Where will I get it from since I just decided to do medicals on my own because of the delay in my application? Application submitted in September, NSE request Dec 16th, submitted NSE Jan 29, since then no further update and schol starts in May. Please what is your advise? Must I wait for medical request at this stage since I did not do upfront? |

Good morning house. First, let me start by saying thank you to everyone who have shared guidelines on this platform. They were very helpful. I am asking this on behalf of my sister. She was denied boarding her flight by Egypt air. She had all documents as advised by the school and as per cic info. She had these: LOA CIC CORRESPONDENCE 3DAYS QUARANTINE BOOKING 11DAYS HOTEL BOOKING TO COMPLETE ISOLATION. Egypt air desk staff insisted that she needs a "PROOF OF ENROLMENT LETTER" . Anyone gone through this or is it just egypt air? We contacted the school but they said registration is not open yet so enrolment letter can not be generated. The issued a To whom it may concern bu they still refused. Please help !!! |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 18 by Nobody: 4:38pm On Mar 28, 2021 |
Papapa1234: Just for the sake of clarity, did you say older students have been proven to be more serious with their studies? Is there enough data to support this claim, or you're just generalising based on the two out ten cases you've seen? |

Sleekcee: Hello, That form is only required of applicants who have received a medical request. Since you're going for upfront Medicals, you only need to go with your international passport and proof of payment. Note that you must pay before you get to the venue, and the proof of payment must be in hard copy. So it's advisable to pay at least a day before your appointment date, so you can print out a copy of the payment receipt (if you paid by bank transfer). IT WILL END IN PRAISES 1 Like |

Abidemi1812: From the experiences of different persons I know that planned to travel recently, the enrolment letter MUST be presented before Boarding. I know two persons that were sent back just because of that. That being said, she has to wait until registration is open so she can get the enrolment letter. I also do not think it depends on the airline company. I think they are all requesting for it. IT WILL END IN PRAISES 2 Likes |

@Papapa1234 there's literally nothing about age here. All I have written is that people are better off applying for a program higher than the degree they already hold. Second class upper going for a post graduate diploma is still a form of progression. That situation can't be compared to an applicant going for a second masters. Yes, a good SOP is vital for all applications, but one can still be denied solely on the ground that there's no educational progression. I'm not advising anyone to do so but there's a reason some people do not disclose a degree they already hold. Whichever way, nothing is guaranteed. shupy: |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 18 by awys: 5:38pm On Mar 28, 2021 |
RELAN2446:Paying school fees doesn't really give higher chances but your documents and how you make your Application tight instead concentrate more on your SOP and be very convincing and deliberate I didn't pay nada from my school fees and it got approved I paid after my visa was out so let her pay the required to hold her seat and concentrate more on the SOP/LOE. It will end in TESTIMONY!!! .But then if you want to pay you can. 6 Likes |

Coming to Canada If you're considering Canada for your graduate studies, you should be strategic in how you email Professors. Another potential reason you don't get a response is because you're emailing Professors in High-paying tuition schools (e.g- UofT, McGill & UBC). Except they have grants to support you, incl. tuition (or you have a scholarship), they're limited in the number of International Students to accept In this thread, I listed about 10 schools that pay the same tuition fees as locals. Please prioritize emailing Professors there. Good luck https://twitter.com/drhammed/status/1375075736470622208?s=20 https://twitter.com/drhammed/status/1356254615659020289?s=20 5 Likes 1 Share |

My God! Studying Nursing in any Canadian university isn't a child's play, whether diploma or BSc, some of the schools hardly have intakes for international students....God help us! Well, let me get there first, by His Grace, it will end in praise. #Sundayrants 6 Likes |

Abidemi1812: If she is starting in September then it is understandable why they turned her away as it is still early to travel for the fall term. I think it’s advisable that she goes early August or late July so she doesn’t encounter problems. 1 Like |
