The dichotomy is still real! Till tomorrow some people will see you as less of a graduate if you don't attend a university. Some people wouldn't even marry a polytechnic graduate. Go to a university. 1 Like |

Karleb: Funny but true. Just that I have seen some ladies with master degree who got married to HND software engineers. In programming world, there is no discrimination. If some people with no degree could work in Google or any FANNG why won't HND computer science(seen as equivalent of degree in the US) work in those companies? |

zico730: Avoid Poly like your life depends on it. Not all computer science graduates become programmers. Many companies (especially banks) are looking for entry level graduates who will work in their IT departments and in most cases, HND is not considered for employment at all in those high paying companies. |

These days it does not matter. Just make sure you have skills in mobile and web programming.Things like network infrastructure, system admin etc. |
