Aguero is a legend of Man city no doubt, that is where it ends though.
Henry is massively clear.
One is a local champion, the other is an International champion.
LEVELS. cool tongue
This is Sulele, right? How many trophies did Henry win in England?

Hello all, what do you guys think about Mount starting all 3 games for England? I feel he just sit out their last game. In as much as he may have energy to burn, I feel his minutes should be carefully managed by both managers at club & country.

I also would've liked him to have been rested for at least one game, but Southgate will probably play him against Poland, their toughest opponents so far.

Thankfully he's got stamina. And we've also got lots of attacking options so Tuchel shouldn't mind resting him for the West Brom game, if he's indeed burned out.

Mason mount is one of their big players, he can't be benched. Dude is so valued wherever he plays. I want them to give him a break though.

Its difficult to bench a player like Mount due to the way he plays. He is every coach type of player; dedicated, hardworking, humble and disciplined. That’s why I laugh when people call foden, grealish or Maddison ahead of Mount in England, these three guys don’t have what Mount contribute to the team(work-rate, mostly off the ball) and still contribute offensively. Even messi acknowledged his talent. He got that Lampard’s dedication and calmness.

Gbam! You follow Enyimba wella then.

We won CAF Champions League with Orjinta and Nwaneri at the heart of defence. That combo was impregnable that 03/04 season. Watching Enyimba play then was like watching a proper European team play.

I remember the FA Cup final vs BBC Lions in Liberation stadium, PH. That should be around 2005 or so... This guy Timothy Adjembe worry our defence die that day. We won in penalty shoot out. Shortly after that match, OUK sanctioned his signing sharperly grin... I think he was the first million naira plus signing in NPFL.

Plug and play. If one player goes down the replacement comes in and does an equally good or better job. Ezeji, Frimpong, Ndidi (my favourite), Tyakase, Muri Ogunbiyi, Nwana a.k.a Ayaya, Ekene Ezenwa, One-eyed Okemiri and Ajibade Omolade fighting it out for left back. And of course Onyekachi Okonkwo.

That team was the equivalent of doping. The only Nigerian team that i ever saw successfully play possession quick passing football on water logged pitch. The opponents dey confused that day.

Yes, we just have to appreciate Mount's fitness levels at this stage despite the number of games played especially when you look around and see other players of his age group.

Styles make fights. In terms of skill Jones is a far better grappler and kicker than Stipe. And Jones IQ is legendary. Ngannou will have to defend multiple takedowns disguised as kicks or punches and multiple kicks disguised as takedowns or punches.
I agree that styles make fights but I believe there is something to be said about Jones taking this long to make this leap. In a sports like MMA power is a very real equalizer especially in the heavyweights. Jon simply has no room for error

Are you sure Jones will want to shoot multiple takedowns on a guy like Francis? This is a guy that couldn't take Dom Reyes down and keep him there. I struggle to believe that he does that with Ngannou who is improving his wrestling game.

You do understand too that the reach and size advantage Jon has enjoyed against majority of his opponents also flies out the window

afrodoc:

Unlike Stipe who lost all hope when Ngannou defended the takedown Jones will try and try again each time with a different disguise and technique. And if Jones gets Ngannou down 1 or 2 times it will take a lot of Ngannou’s gas tank to survive as Jones ground game is better than Stipe’s.
To be perfectly honest Ngannou's never been a horrible wrestler. The only way you get Ngannou down is if he lunges wildly and misses or he's gassed. If you shoot at Ngannou just once while he is still fresh you're going to get starched. Just ask Cain Velasquez. Never mind multiple times

afrodoc:

Then Ngannou would also have to think about Jones’ notorious kicks and elbows. He just can’t stalk Jones the way he did Stipe. If he stands still long and often enough a few kicks will land on his head.

Now all the above depends on whether Jones is actually in decline or whether his recent struggles at LHW can be attributed to disinterest. If he is able to go back to an approximation of prime Jones then Ngannou’s skill level and ring IQ has to improve even further.
I don't believe Jones has the power to hurt Ngannou standing. He is going to have to be on his bike circling around the ring (he needs to pray it's a bigger ring)

I don't know if it's a loss of interest or decline though we can't rule out a decline just because Jones has been in the game so long but I believe size matters and getting hit by LHW (most of them blown up MWs) is significantly different from getting hit by a heavyweight never mind a freak like Ngannou. Jones could fight the perfect fight and just one mistake can end it for him. Jones never had to worry about that at LHW because he never had to face such size and power.

I actually agree with all your views. My own point is that stylistically Jones will be a different test to Ngannou's previous fighters. I definitely know that Jones won't have the huge length and reach advantage he has at LHW and appreciate that he has traditionally struggled against guys his size.

Lewandowski out of both champions league quarterfinal legs, March international breaks have always been useless, always affecting major teams at this crucial stage of club competitions, Bayern have been extremely dependent on him, he is the only potent force in their attack, if PSG are a team with any serious aspirations in their bones, they will beat bayern over both legs.

Not only potent force it's kinetic force. So Muller,Gnabry, Sane etc are what. You are disrespecting people that carried Bayern to win the champions league last season.

There were fears concerning Mount's fitness as he missed England's first training session today. But Southgate has assured that he is fine and in contention to play tomorrow against Poland.

Meanwhile, El Monstro and Tammy are back in training.

I agree with your ranking of the strikers.

But with City I’ll go for Kompany, Yahya, Aguero, Silva. Kompany and Yahaya paved the way for Aguero and Silva. They raised the standard of City before the rest became prominent. And it’s not as if they’ll falter if they remained a core part of the team.

I picked Kompany ahead of Yaya because of his longevity and how he makes everyone around him play better. He leads by example. Yahaya was very crucial to City’s development from a top 6 team to a top 2 team.

Aguero is very important as well and I rate him ahead of Silva because he is more consistent. And then there’s ‘Agueroooooooo’.

It will be disingenuous to rank the City players solely based on footballing abilities and if you add impact on the club there's no way in hell Kompany comes last.
