Klass99:this is why men should perform vasectomies when they are done with having kids Women are not the only ones whose bodies can be poked and prodded for these things, and the best part is, vasectomies can be reversible. Stop leaving the power of procreation solely in the hands of a woman, and take control of your own future as a man. Get a vasectomy, and women's shenanigans will not bother you anymore 8 Likes 2 Shares |

The only method that is 100% is abstinence. No contraceptif is rated 100% aside human errors, apart from abstinence. |

1. Many hospitals in Nigeria are owned by quacks who know next to nothing about what they claim to be experts in, especially about drugs-based contraception, and they'll not employ pharmacists who are experts on drugs. Such hospitals are simply scam centers. 2. Some of the contraceptive agents use in these implants (or whatever method used) have maximum duration of action, and most times the women are not properly counseled on the duration of contraception. Hence, the drug's effects decline as the duration of action elapses without the woman knowing. 3. Failure may also be due to fake products. Our brothers at head bridge can do and undo. 4. The drugs may also fail due to interaction with other drugs the woman might be taking. Nigerians like taking drug s without consulting pharmacists who have superior knowledge of these drugs. Funny enough, pharmacists don't charge consultation fees. These are some of the reason I think your contraceptives are failing. I am assuming you meant pharmacological contraception |

Well its a good question . may be the plan has expired and unknowingly to the person or before going for the family planning do the person consult a medical expert to know the package that goes with her body system because we have different body system and reaction all tjisthis need to need to put in first |

Men should also be involved in the birth control journey, from helping her choose what method is convenient to reminding her when it is time for renewal. That said, there are different levels of birth control with each varying in efficiency. Choose the best (probably a long acting reversible option), alongside your gynecologist. |

Kinematics: I don’t think hysterectomy is usually considered a method of family planning... do you mean tubal ligation? Because with that it is 1 in about every 100 where pregnancy can occur. Even vasectomies are not 100%, it’s very rare but I think pregnancies occur at about 1 in 1000. |

Withdrawal method is the best amd safest option but my question is...how many guys could he sensitive enough to know when to withdraw? Some guys are naturally careless |
Re: Why Do Some Women Get Pregnant After Family Planning? by Kinematics: 7:59pm On Mar 30, 2021 |
McSquishi: Yes hysterectomy, Tubal ligation(though not entirely), Vasectomy and orchiectomy are considered permanent methods of family planning. If a man is still able to impregnant a woman after vasectomy then the surgery was either not properly done or miracle happened. |

Eriokanmi: Don't know where you get coitus interruptus as the best and safest. The best and safest still remains ABSTINENCE. |

Kinematics:how can you abstain from sex when you're married ? It's impossible except you're vegetative in nature. My coitus interruptus advice not for singles guys |

obembet: Not all family planning methods are 100% safe, even when done correctly. Some confer between 90-95% safety. The surest and safest method is abstinence. Oh, there are some extraordinary exceptions as in the case of Mary, mother of Jesus. |
Re: Why Do Some Women Get Pregnant After Family Planning? by Kinematics: 8:10pm On Mar 30, 2021 |
Eriokanmi: Coitus interruptus may be safe if you look at the side effects that comes with other none natural methods, however coitus interruptus has one of the highest failure rates. Yes it may be safe, but definitely not the best. |

Kinematics: hysterectomy would be an extreme form of sterilization. I’m sure the contraceptive benefit of the procedure would be considered but that isn’t recommended as a procedure to undergo if contraception is one’s primary concern. But yes, that would definitely be 100% if undergone. I just don’t see that as family planning. From my understanding the more common reasons for vasectomy failures are natural reconnecting of the clipped tubes and not waiting long enough to have unprotected sex. |

Tigolom: Male vasectomies are not 100% effective and is reversible. You need to keep checking with a doctor to ensure that it hasn't reversed itself. |

Let me drop a small lecture of family planning for those who don't really know what it is. In common man's term family planning is knowing when you want to have a baby, how you want to have that baby and where. Its meant for couples that want to plan their family size. It has several benefits for both mother and child. Daddy as well Now, there are 2 main methods of family planning. We have the Permanent and Temporary method. Example of Permanent method include: Vasectomy, Orchiectomy, Hysterectomy and bilateral tubal ligation(not entirely so). Most Africans especially do not use this method because its surgical and you know the risks involved in surgery Temporary method. This is the commonest method and it includes; 1. Natural method eg Abstinence, Knowing your ovulation period( counting your menstrual cycle, knowing the "free periods", use of beads to count the cycle like in the olden days, use of ovulation signs like increase in body temperature and mid-menstrual cycle abdominal pain aka Mittelschmerz) ) 2. Withdrawal method 3. Barrier method eg use of condoms, cervical caps, spermicides 4. Use of contraceptive. Either single or combined oral contraceptive, Injectable or contraceptive patch. 5. Use of implants eg Jadelle etc 6. Use of Intrauterine devices eg copper T 7. Use of emergency contraceptives eg postinor Note that every method of family planning has its merits and demerits. Failure rates are high for some and most comes with their own side effects. Before you choose a method you want to use make sure that you and your partner agree on it. In all ABSTINENCE is the best. Choose your poison/medicine wisely! 1 Like |
