Ebuehi was also a delight to watch. Well timed movement. Caught out of position only once which Ndidi covered.

Command and presence are not direct skills sir. In terms of reaction and saves, Maduka is better.

Nigeria vs Brazil? Uzoho made about 6 flash saves. Maduka made 1, and Ajayi had to clear one off the line because Maduka got stuck on his feet.

I actually did not even take note of the moniker I quoted. What drew my attention was referring to his comment as that a liquor addict will spew.

Come on man, that is not cool. Sorry if you feel targeted. Did not intend to do that.

-Iheanacho didn't have a good game yet Lad was decisive in two of our goals today.
He bagged a beautiful assist pass to Osimhen (an action I witnessed in the flesh) and also laid the pass to Henry Onyekuru who clipped it into Onuachu's path to finish superbly.

- Osimhen is wasteful according to many here yet he only missed one big chance all game (that chance where Ndidi fed him on the run in a counter attack situation after a turnover from a Lesotho attack). The other chances were more like half chances. Even his goal came from a half chance. That angle was super tight. You needed to be at the stadium to really appreciate how tight it was and how he still got his leg to hit it in the right manner and direction towards goal.
Abeg OSIMHEN had a very top game and most of rhe chances he faced today came about as result of his industry and running into channels wing-sides from where he would sometimes try a snap shot or try to create a little shooting space for himself for a better shooting angle.

Some takes here ehn.... I laugh abeg. grin

Reflexes is Okoye. I can prove it. Meanwhile what is stability? Seems Uzoho's looks is deceiving you guys.

By the way, don't you think there's a reason Ajax want Okoye to replace Onana?

Secondly how did you come to the conclusion that Uzoho reads the game better as well as marshalling defence line?

Is it because of how he shouts during corners?

I have watched Sparta games throughout the season.
Once a striker drifts past Maduka's defenders, it's a goal already.
In his last match before the international break, Heracles had only one chance in the entire match, one shot on target, and it was their goal.
Their game against Ajax, it was like the net was empty. almost every single attack Ajax had was a goal.

The guy struggles a lot with indecision in crosses and long balls. Comes out first, then realizes he can't reach the ball, then struggles to go back. Remember Sierra Leone's second goal?

To be honest, I still don't get the Osimhen hype. Dude wasted opportunity upon opportunity today. He did the same against Benin. Ighalo was far more lethal in converting chances in his time in the SE in my opinion. Osimhen really needs to up his game, pressing is not everything. If na pressing be the thing, Musa sef does a better job at that!.

Osimhen should do better. We won't be getting this many chances against big teams abeg. Chukwueze na another wahala altogether. That guy seems to have regressed from the Chukwueze we used to know. Rohr should do fast and get us Lookman or any other decent RWF abeg.

Lol. Osimhen don be the next target now? No longer Paul Onuachu

you are just deceiving yourself. Do you think anyone will snatch number 9 shirt from Osimhen? It is not possible. Someone that is doing well for the national team and won highest goal scorer in qualifier will be drop for sadiq or any other striker. You guys are not honest at all. Listen, as far as super eagles is concerned, there are certain players that will never be drop.... Osimhen, Iwobi, ndidi, Chukwueze. E be like say you nor know say na rohr be your coach. Dey dere

Iwobi, chuwkwueze don't deserve to be in super eagles 11 today. Iwobi casually lost the ball like 3 times today that could had resulted in a goal against us. Against big teams, it could be unpardomable. Maybe it was because the coach played him on the left side. As for chukwueze, when lookman and Kalu returns na bench player he go be exvept drastic improvements happen

Did you see how unprofessional and regressing chulwueze has been in the last few games? Abegi stop it there SE position doesn't belong to anybody and if you're in form, you deserve a chance

you have moved from nacho to Osimhen. Strikers miss chances and it is part of the game. Do you know how many chances vardy do miss in a game?. Osimhen still remain our best striker and he prove it already by clinching the highest goal scorer in African nation cup qualifier.. Nor be bean bro!

I'm not saying he shouldn't miss chances o, but the guy seems rather too wasteful to me. This is particularly alarming considering that in this our team, good goalscoring chances are usually few and far between especially against big teams. Go and check the goals Ighalo scored in his final years in the SE against the heavyweights of African football. Hardly any one of them was given him on a platter of gold. He had to utilize the meager half-chances that came his way.

Osimhen just can't keep squandering chances at this rate, that's all I'm saying. Let me believe that his today's showing was due to his recent injury battles Sha.

Ok, when I watch games especially Naija, I try to monitor players' performance and abilities. Now let me use an example from this last two matches to drive home my point.

Uzoho and Okoye both faced a similar chance to their lower left at close range, medium speed.

Okoye faced a header to his lower left from a Benin player, he parried the ball out for a corner.

Uzoho faced a similar ball to his lower left as well, now instead of parring the ball out for a corner, he pushes it straight to a second Lesotho player who drives the ball straight into the net. Had the player not been offside, it would have been a goal for Lesotho.

The power of a header is very different from the power of a freekick. The best a good keeper could do from that position is to stop the ball from entering. That's just like saying good keepers should be expected to parry saved penalties out for a corner.

Just need to touch on the second half. What most impressed me was the movement of our players. They did well covering each other and opening passing channels for each other.

However, we still have a lot of work to do.

Iheanacho dropping deep and distributing the ball was impressive especially towards the time he was taking out. He looked well coached.

Ndidi covering gaps at the back was also brilliant.

Etebo showed immense work rate.

Osimhen showed how frightening he is if given room to attack. Rohr needs to work on a system to create spaces for Osimhen.

Iwuala looks a genuine talent and he showed it. I was impressed with his skills but needs to work on his weight. Also his use of players. He looked at ease playing with Ebuehi.

I was over impressed with the tactical movement and awareness of space by Onuachu. He looked like Rodri of Man City playing the attack. Also covered grounds.

Iwobi was so delightful to watch in that second half and looks suited for a possessive playing side.

Iwobi delightful in today's game I'm convinced that some of you guys are relatives to SE players because this sort of biased analysis deserves 5 strokes of a cane

And one of the Big Questions here:

Who is the better finisher? Osimhen or Onuachu

I could easily tell you my own take but I would rather use Stats to help enhance my points.

Osimhen in serie A alone have missed 5 big chances in 13 games (7 starts). He has 3 goals and 1 assist.

Onuachu in Belgian Pro League has missed "just" 8 big chances in 30 games (28 starts).

My focus is on the number of Big chances missed per Game.

Osimhen missed 5 in 13.

Onuachu missed 8 in 30. If Osimhen had played more games, the chances of him missing more are there. Meanwhile Onuachu had gone through 30 full games and haven't even hit double figures yet in Big Chances missed. What does this tell us? The man is one of the most ice-cold finishers in Europe right now. Infact I have an interesting stat I had compiled since March 8 and waited for the right time to drop which shows that Onuachu is actually Europe's most wicked finisher focusing on League stats alone i.e the guy who hardly misses the Big Chances he gets. He even tops the Finisher-Elite, Haaland and we all know just how Brilliant a finisher Haaland is

Without pressing any calculators, it's safe to say Onuachu's finishing is superior because The Big Man HARDLY misses a big chance.

So what's the simple answer I wanted to give you without this stats-filled preamble? It is easily Paul Onuachu. No arguments. Osimhen is a fine finisher. A very good one infact but Onuachu is Elite in this Attribute. But it doesn't make him the better striker all round compared to the Monster Machine.

I will drop those Big Chances missed stats comparison that shows how clinical Onuachu is compared to the goals scored.

First of all, that was a slow freekick, there was more reaction time than Uzoho's header.

Also consider this, Okoye was in motion tracking the ball only to flip back to save the header, while Uzoho was facing a foward moving ball throughout. BTW headers are the most difficult thing to save

Lastly, as a professional keeper. Saving a strike greater than 2yrds, you are expected to push the ball out because a rebound would be a goal, parring that ball straight out was just not it.

It wasn't a slow freekick. If it was slow, he could have caught it. It was a flash save, and considering the angle, the only way he could push the ball was forward.

We can't really compare a Farmers league to Seria A in terms of Quality but based on the last 2 games for SE, Paul finishing ability looks better than osimehn own but osimhen all round game thumps him

Somebody raised this question earlier and I'd like to repeat it...
What's your opinion on the state of the Teslim Balogun Stadium pitch?
Me think it needs some more trimming...Lagos might be the perfect home ground for us pending when the Abuja Stadium will be ready..

The world cup qualifier is too important for us to be changing home venue too often...

They can be compared. A big chance is a big chance anywhere. The difference is whether it is scored or whether it is missed.

And my focus is limited to the Top 10 leagues of Europe. You would be shocked at what I found. Onuachu is indeed a wicked finisher.
