Kia isn't a Japanese brand ooo. it's a korean and kia isn't as easy to sell as Japanese car. If it has been Japanese loke toyoat or honda, you might have sold it. But if it's german, i swear, you must have sold it?

I own a VW golf diesel(SDI). That engine is bomb proof.
It can never die.
Apart from the noisy combustion from Diesel engines, i feel they are more reliable than petrol engines.
Am currently doing close to 40 mpg. Never enjoyed such fuel economy in my entire driving years.

Mine is also a 2.0L. But it's non-turbo (SDI).
Very splendid on gas especially city runs. I haven't attempted exclusive highway driving yet.

Definitely.
But that's not solely responsible for the awesome mpg.
Generally, Diesel engines have better mpg than their petrol equivalents.

But not cheaper than petrol cars.... As diesel fuel is far more expensive per litre compared to petrol

Honda Civic 6.6/100km
Both of same year.
At 5000km/month
VW costs of fuel is 55,615 Naira
Honda costs of fuel 53,460 Naira

Diesel cost per liter just went up by 50/55naira.
It was previously #210 @ NNPC when petrol was #160.
Let's wait till April, when petrol per liter increases to catch up.


P.S Honda Civic 1.7l is another badass engine. Especially if lubricated with full synthetic oil.

I am a car dealer as well and I have had issues selling diesel vehicles as well. Infact I have a car now for almost 7 months not sold largely because many offer very low price and even wish to change the engine after they buy it.

Like I said earlier never let the ignorance of people make u think diesel cars are bad. Never ever.

I have a Mercedes Benz E class but I wouldn’t recommend it for business but for just personal or family use. The engine is a never die engine.
