Elyasix:
Hello gurus in the house...I need your urgent response on this matter. I just received my GCMS note and I want you all to review it and help me out. May Almighty God bless you all. Thanks!

Hello Elyasix,

This note is direct. The officer was curious to know your educational history, maybe the study gap was left unexplained or not thoroughly made clear. Your education/study level intensified the curiosity futher, which no answers was provided to put it to rest.

The other concern was your family's (parents'/sponsor's/sponsors') level of establishment or source of funds, which enough documentation wasn't provided for the officer to be able to assess the application as thoroughly as possible.

Seeing the officer's concern, you may want to offset part of your first semester/year tuition fees and have your LE deposited into your BA. Get your sponsor to include new financial supporting documents and this time, demonstrate your POF through MBS. Also, do well to show socioeconomic ties against only the social tie, then revamp your letter.

The BS concerns may not necessarily mean it was considered to be fraudulent IF the PFL was issued. It may as well mean that it wasn't verifiable – may be due to no or late response from the bank or depends on the assessment ground as best known to the officer.

Best of Luck

Nobody can give you bank statement please don't put yourself in a deeper mess arranging bank statement is not the norm please get a sponsor-be it your parents, uncle's, aunt's there is nothing like someone giving you bank statement!!!. Financial readiness is a key factor in this study visa journey don't put yourself into deeper trouble which might cost you more than you bargain for

It doesn't work like that. It can't work. Anyone that tells you otherwise is misleading you. You just don't submit account statement, the officer must be convinced the fund will be available to carter for your fees and expenses. They are smarter than you think.

Good day guys please I need u guys advice

Sometime around last year, I gained admission in Canada, and also last year I started the visa processing (October) I submitted all that is needed for biometric and other documents. So I was sent an email which says I need to prove my English proficiency ( IELTS ) BUT the school that gave me admission wrote in their criteria for admission if YOU ARE FROM AN ENGLISH SPEAKING COUNTRIES there's no need for IELTS, so I couldn't provide the document although it was written in the mail sent by IRCC that ( IGNORE IF YOU DONT HAVE THE AFFORMENTION DOCUMENT, it will only make your processing FASTER but without it, it will take normal procedure) so since last year OCTOBER, I am yet to have a feedback despite series of E- Mail sent. Please I need your advice on what to do because by MAY my admission ll be expiring.

Hello Mosadioluwa1515,

I think you are in the same boat with other late September/October 2020 applicants yet to get a final response from IRCC. Keep sending emails/CSE (webform) and ensure to notify your DLI of the current situation surrounding your application.

Tell them in advance that you may be considering deferring to the next possible date available. This will help you to be proactive in the case that your DLI doesn't defer, so you can quickly get a new LOA elsewhere or reapply again depending on the case scenario.

Bottom line, request for your notes if you've not.

Best of Luck

No, it's not but you be well-placed in consideration with a Bachelor's. However, either is a progression.

Lekiboboe:

If you were not able to secure a PG. Cert program with your CGPA from a college, I seriously doubt if you can get admission from a University, so in a nutshell, a college is still your only option.

Though a 3rd class CGPA less than 2.0 is very low, but there is a way you can boost your admission chances (though it's 50/50), but has worked for some people I know and they got admission (PACKAGING), and interestingly most colleges in Ontario don't mention CGPA in their Admission Requirements.

Now take you time and go through the content in the two links below & leverage on it

Possible Solution/Way for a 3rd class Graduate to get Admission for a PG. Cert program in a College

https://www.nairaland.com/5818588/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/700#97090650

Note: This is 50/50 (no assurance) but has worked for some people I know, cos I know you gonna be paying application fee/fees for this admission, so it's more like a calculated risk

See the link below for schools PGC programs in Accounting & Financial Planning, do a good search and do the necessary research on them (admission requirement, course outlines, tuition amount for international students etc.) apply to the one that suites you

PG. Cert, Financial Planning

PG. Cert in Accounting

Await more inputs from the Gurus

Thanks for the response. I actually intend on applying to a college.

Hello Jojocrawch,

The only concern of the officer based on the notes was your funds. The officer wasn't satisfied with the provided evidence used to support the incomings of the monies/source of funds.

Your sponsor should provide more supporting financial proof, have your LE transferred to you, and pay part or complete tuition (for one year). Have either of your parent play a role through demonstrating their level of establishment coupled with a Letter of Support. Even if they are financially not eligible, still provide evidence that shows how established they are.

Finally, use a letter to adequately address your improved financial situation and give a detailed structure of your available funds. In all these, keep both eyes on "purpose of visit" and "ties," don't let it slip.

Include payslips and other important work/financial/economic documents that can help demonstrate that you are gainfully well-employed in your home country.

Best of Luck

Hello Idaytesj29,

For both institution levels, the POF is the same. An applicant is expected to show a minimum $30,000 CAD. Tuition cost at both levels varies and can also be influenced by the study interest of PA.

Let me know if you ain't clear?

Thank you for this quick response. I think I understand. God bless. Some of us are new in this struggle, I am just getting to understand some of the terms used here.

Let me give you more info, I applied to UNBC and MUN for masters in International Studies and Masters in Employment relations respectively, the fear of meeting up with this 30,000 CAD requirements is highly discouraging. How can someone with limited means solve this problem.?

My initial plan is to apply for various funding and scholarship after I began my studies over there to cover for my tuition etc
Thanks

Hello House, I'm a newbie and I have followed the Canada visa trend 17 and 18.
I must say I'm very impressed at the way information and support are given.

I am interested in migrating thru the study path. I have applied to Georgian college and awaiting their response.
I am a 40years old female, married with 3kids and have 17years of work experience.

1, I really would like to how to package my application to include my children
2, Can I apply for my husband's visitor visa along with mine and the kids (I saw online that visitor visa takes 206 working days now)
I am applying for an advanced diploma in aviation......any downsides to this?

I really would appreciate your expertise and experience here. Thank you all
@baphil @justexcellent @frankbonn1

Hello Funformofi,

Family application is only advised if the financial, ties and the other aspects of the eligibility requirement for SP can be sufficiently met. If these can be met, then go ahead otherwise, a single application may just be the way forward.

You can apply for a SOWP for your spouse and SP for your kids. You can use your LOA and IRCC LOI to apply for them, instead of applying through VV. If possible, put in the application at the same time as yours if what is discussed in the above paragraph applies to your situation.

n.b. for your kids, you have the option to either apply for SP or VV for them.

BTW, if you have a first degree, you should reconsider your study choice.

Good day House,

Please I submitted my application with my uncle's (sponsor) & my personal statement of account for 6 months. I also submitted my English waiver from my school and IELTS result.

If by chance I get an NSE request,

1, do I still need MBS?
2, if 1 is yes, would I require MBS of my uncle (sponsor) alone or I will have to submit MBS of my account too?

Also, can I attach the intro letter from my employer to the MBS, as I only attached my offer letter, previous work letter, promotion letter

Have paid a year tuition fee.. no sponsor, but available balance is 3.7m. are my good to go?

quote author=JustMellow post=100413773]

Hello Ogunleyesijibomi,

The first to consider is the 1-year tuition plus CAD 10,000 then weigh it against the available balance. If it doesn't outweigh it; then you're good to go as a self-sponsor, but if not, get a (co)sponsor. This will help your financial strength.

BTW, a gainful earner as an applicant should include a personal BS; not compulsory if there is a sponsor, but very necessary even if there is a sponsor.
