That's the Fact
Onazi was once a force to be reckoned with in the Super Eagles midfield. He bossed the midfield against France in the 2014 world cup. After he got injured, Nigeria midfield became destabilized and France scored. Personally for me, Ndidi has not done anything special in the Super Eagles. Etebo is always above him in the Super Eagles Jersey.
Etebo above Ndidi in the super eagles jersey?Too much ogogoro grin

Anayo has 2 options if he stays at the local league, he will remain eligible for the Quota system "homebase selection" and will keep getting a call up but if he moves abroad now to a backwater league he will now be competing against the likes of Ejuke, S moses, Kalu, Ademola lookman, Emmanuel Dennis and he isn't better than any of them. Another option for him is to refine his Game as an Attacking midfielder aka 10. That position has less competitor in SE. Omo SE has a Generational Talent we just have to Win something

quota system for homebase selection are you for real lolzzzzzz this is gonna be this first time am hearing this .....abegiiii when they start homebase quota system lolzzzz even rohr acknowledge the fact we will only having this homebase players if only some of our lads are ruled out as a result of their respective clubs not releasing them or covid issues...I will maintain rohr stance on this homebase lads....try to prove you're good enough for super eagles in competition like wafu et al ....who knows you might bag a move to Belgian or Europe ten 10 league but biasness for homebase player or reservation for them base on your so called quota system will not be condoned I mean how does it sound inviting iwuala ahead of the like of Dennis in koln, olayinka in Prague, moffi, awoniyi Daz pure prejudice bro if you think they're better than their mate in Europe then let's then compete with their mate I mean why the so preferential treatment all because of the tag 'homebased players'

Guardiola has been left impressed by the brilliant performances of Iheanacho over the last few weeks and explained why he parted company with the striker four years ago.

"Incredible. The quality was there, he was a young player here and I believe in that moment with Gabriel and Sergio we didn't have much space," Guardiola said at the pre-match press conference.

"He is a fantastic person, we had a good relationship together so I'm delighted that it's going well lately.

"He's playing for the injured Maddison and of course he links really well with the midfield and he's good in behind.

"He's fast and in the final third he has the right tempo, he's so clear in front of the goal".

Since leaving the Citizens, Iheanacho has faced them seven times in all competitions - losing six and winning just once in the reverse Premier League fixture in September 2020.

Diego Maradona has slammed France midfielder Blaise Matuidi’s challenge on Nigeria’s Ogenyi Onazi worse than the bite Luiz Suarez unleashed on Giorgio Chiellini.

Maradona believes Matuidi shouldn’t be there, insisting the tackle deserved a harsher punishment than the four-month ban handed to Suarez for his bite on Chiellini.

“Where’s the ball? It’s criminal,” said the 1986 World Cup-winning captain of Argentina.

“Now I want to see the reaction of Fifa. The reaction of [Pele] and of [Franz] Beckenbauer. You must have a lot of nerve to not see that this is worse than Suarez.”

Look at that picture and tell me that was not a clear target. As Maradona asked, where is the ball in that tackle.

May Baba Maradona rest in peace! He had his personal demons, but his love for the game was unmatched and he was a good hearted person.

Onazi gave Mikel that stability during Afcon 2013 after fumbled Fegor Ogude was replaced by Onazi

My man, Onazi was indispensable in eagles 2013/2014.

Pls rate Onazi Afcon 2013 and 2014 WC and Ndidi 2019 Afcon and 2018 WC.

My point is simple, Ndidi need to bring his club form to eagles as he did against Lesotho. This is the time for him to be the water carrier.

Hope you remember how Olishe forced himself in against Senegal Afcon 2000 and changed the game.

Chief, I think you are being too harsh on Ndidi..
His inability to transform his club form to national team isn't entirely his fault if u look at it well.. He always give his best on the pitch..
At Leicester,he is more comfortable being the only one with the responsibility of protecting the centre backs, with Tielmans ahead of him..But with the super eagles,he is being paired with Etebo, who doesn't even know his role on the pitch.. Playing a double pivot midfield has never worked for us.. Let Rohr assign Etebo a free role and let Ndidi take charge of the DM role. That would bring out the best in him,IMO...
