HorlarJP: You seem to be ignorant of a lot of things. Ghana redenominated her currency by removing FOUR zeros. So your so-called 1 Ghana cedi is actually the same value of the New cedi, which was used until the redenomination in 2007. Secondly, I do not know where you have gone in Ghana. The place is just as 3rd world looking as Nigeria in terms of infrastructure. It is an overhyped nation. The only difference: Ghana is a safe country, and the electricity is good (depending on where you stay). My last 6-month stay there saw only two 5-minute power failures. I had a house there from 2017 to date and stay there for months at a time. Even have a bank ac, so I know the place in toto. 7 Likes 1 Share |

HorlarJP: Ghana police also take bribes. I have witnessed it first hand when they extorted someone of 100 cedis for not carrying a drivers' license. |

FATnigga: I have not been to South Africa before but surely it ain’t gon be peaceful like Ghana... Ghana is really a freedom country , I am not saying it’s the best African country but I have been impressed by what I see so far. Not flashy or pretty like Nigeria but everything works here from there social amenities to having your freedom! And what else do a nation need, you prefer South Africa that we do here of Nigeria getting killed always ? Well everyone has there own choice and I am pretty sure you haven’t even stepped out of Nigeria before , prove me wrong! 1 Like 1 Share |

staga: Bro I said it already that it isn’t even pretty like Nigeria nor have the beautiful landscapes Nigeria has but as a citizen all will want is a working system , you said you stayed for 6 months and you only experienced power failure twice and both was even around 5 minutes, I am sure if you are in Nigeria currently , there is no light where you are except you are with your Generator running! And I had like to learn more about the redomination of the Ghana cedi, learning never stop ! |

When you say Ghana is ahead of Nigeria kindly specify in what areas. It was this same kind of praises I heard and decided to visit Ghana for the first time in 2015. Between then and now I’ve made 5 visits and will liken Accra to a city like port harcourt. Definitely not at par with Lagos and Abuja in terms of development. If a city is quiet and free from the hustle & bustle of another city it doesn’t mean it is ahead. Every city has its pros and cons. It’s just like comparing Mozambique with Angola and saying Mozambique is ahead of Angola 10 Likes |

SHIIIIITEHOLE:Take your propaganda away from this forum. This is what you call beautiful? [b] If you are reading this do not fall for this ghana propaganda. If you're young do not waste your youthful years going to this places. Nairobi & south Africa are good places. If you leave Nigeria to Ghana because of light you are a Fo0L. 4 Likes |

abnot: What we always say here is that, Ghanians enjoy somewhat stable power supply, something Nigerians can only dream of. So yes in this regards they are doing better than Nigeria. How about insecurity? Waking up this morning I hope you've checked your news feed - a prison break in owerri, police headquarters in IMO set ablaze and vehicles in the vicinity set ablaze and lots of other bad news bro. 1 Like |

Limassol: We'll both agree that ghanians enjoy cheaper and stable power supply than Nigerians on one hand and the average ghanian city (accra, kumasi ) is safer than the average nigerian city. In the area of economic strength, output and prosperity Ghanians/Ghana is no match to Nigeria. Nigerian cities are more developed than Ghanian cities (Accra is the most developed Ghanian city). The reason I'm emphasizing this is that prior to 2015 I had been to cities in europe , north america and two middle eastern cities and I was hearingso much about how nigeria was a shithole and how ghana was everything that Nigeria was not. Then 2015 came with my girlfriend moving to accra. I made many trips there and was disappointed probably because my expectations were high. I later got a job in 2016 that got travelling to banjul, monrovia, accra, addis ababa, nairobi , j'burg, cotonou, dar es salaam, maputo, luanda and dakar. Of all these cities only nairobi , j'burg and to some extent luanda impressed me. Nigerian cities of Lagos (particularly lagos island) and abuja were far ahead of these cities. In fact the locals in most of these cities still serve the europeans and from the hotel to the gym to the restaurants the locals were more like workers to the white people there. Nigerians own and run most of the businesses in Nigeria. In these countries the white man is still seen and regarded as the alpha & omega. In ethiopia the chinese run the show from sme to the big sectors. This experience made me respect the hardworking Nigerian man/woman more. If Nigeria had a better government the issue of security and power will not even be as pronounced as it is but amidst all these challenges the Nigerian man/woman has built strong enterprises and a much stronger economy than any of the countries in west africa. Look at the area of aviation, ghana has not been able to build both private or national airlines. In nigeria the govt failed in its quest to build a national airline yet nigerian investors built arik, air peace, associated airlines, bristow and now green africa. In the area of banks nigerian banks play a dominant role in ghana with the government constantly squeezing them and threatening their existence. In telecoms Glo is also been squuezed but managing to survive. In ghana african world airline is owned by the chinese and not ghana or ghanians. Down to the sme sector the ghanian investment promotion council recently went round shutting down shops owned by Nigerians as there businesses were performing better than that of the ghanians. I can go on and on but I dont subscribe to the notion of seeing nothing good in Nigeria/nigerians aside negativity . Every society or country has its positives and negatives 18 Likes |

abnot: You spoke well but your last line got me like wtf Bro believe it or not i'm as patriotic as you if not more than. But we've got to say things as they are without sugarcoating. Truth is, Nigeria is in a very bad situation at the moment , its facing enormous challenges from insecurity to economic stagnation, to poor governance. Its not our wish to be this harsh to our government but hey they deserved the bashing 7 Likes |

@FATnigga Ghana is not the only country where Nigerian youths waste their life,in the USA,Canada,Australia,NewZealand,Europe name them. The moment you are living outside Nigeria and you do not have the legal documents to live in that country that you in,then it's a waste of time. |

You can say that again, Nigerians are intellectuals, but with this current administration, the economy is not getting any better. Until the government gets things back to normal, that place is not a place for people to live. Cybercop2002: 1 Like 1 Share |

HorlarJP: That amount is small o. Especially if you would rent a place of your own. The value of naira makes it more expensive to move without proper planning. As per job I don't think it's that easy since the pay is small, though I've not looked for job sha but that's what I heard. Been here since February 1 Like |

Localordinary:actually it was wise of nigeria to back out of the currency because it'll practically be putting the biggest economy in africa under french supervision The plan was for west africa to print and control it's currency A 10 years plan gone to waste because a french loyal ivory coast president and other former French colonies went behind others back to sign a deal with the french government to print the new eco currency which should be like the euro used by countries in the eu except the uk till it left The eco currency was supposed to be a new start for nigeria but now we have to put our focus back on the failing naira France wants to have a strong hold in west africa like they do in central africa and their plan is progressing because most french speaking african countries leaders are french puppets Many people don't know france has a lot of territories or countries outside europe's mainland france and they were the only ones who poured a lot of money trying to keep a territory in africa for years after other world leaders were backing out of africa even though they were going through internal crisis Eco currency going south was one of the reasons nigeria closed its borders with it's neighbors especially since they are all french speaking nations/nations once colonized by france Also the ghana cedis isn't higher than naira although it looks so,they practice redenomination of their currency something nigeria once considered 5 Likes |
