My experience wasn't a date but with my babe in school.

so my guy hosted this birthday party for his girlfriend and he invited us, he informed us he had rooms already booked for us so we needed not to bother.

fast-forward, party went smoothly we vibed and all and it was time to check in, my guy only had two rooms booked one for him and his girlfriend the other was taken by another couple present at the party, hotel was filled no place to sleep.

Took her to her seat and asked what she'll like to have, babe said she's not having anything that she's full. Headache catch me immidiately. Like, what's a date for? To come and sit down and talk? I insisted she had something, she was adamant. I sha ordered for drinks, energy drink hoping it could loosen her up since she's being uptight and a teetotal. Babe was serious o even after opening drinks that I was just wasting my money, she won't take water sef.

Long story short, I had to take all the drinks alone, I can't come and waste money.

Just when I was about going to foot bills, babe stood up and was feeding her eyes carelessly from the eatery's window. I was embarrassed tbh. That was the last time I spoke to her.

2nd date was something else, menstruation came through and I had to be her shield all through till we got home. Very heavy flow and there was no place to get tampon. I wasn't really embarrassed like the first one. I even loved the fact that I was of assistance all through the menstrual dilemma. I think I loved this girl more than I ever loved any girl. She seemed like a perfect partner to me

1. This was 2009 or so... I was still in Uni but as a young guy who had never gone on a date before I took to the dating section of one newspaper then. A particular profile struck me... 3. This was probably the worst date I was on. It was 2012, I was serving in Abuja and by this time had met one super fine yoruba lady who I had professed love to on 2go!
She finally told me to come meet her at her church in town, gwarimpa or so. I dressed in my Sunday best and headed to see her. Got to church, listened to the Word of God and was stunned to see she was praise leader that day.
Immediately after service she came to meet me... and oh... I forgot one important detail for this story - I am an introvert, well WAS, at that time.
It was a herculean task alone just meeting her in a public place where she was in midst of her circle. Next thing, she told me to come meet someone... I followed her and she took me to see her elder sister. For whatever effing reason, my brain locked immediately I saw her sister.
I couldn't even string a 'hi how are you' statement... OMG!
To compound issues, the babe I came to see was so embarrassed on my behalf, she excused herself and left me there with her sister.
Came back 10 hours later (it seemed more) and told me they're going home!
I carried myself and my Bible back to Bwari. Never to date any 2go girl again.

It's not that you're a bore, am sorry to say most nigerian girls are airheads, if it isn't about big brother naija, "relationship goals" or some vain materialistic shit it doesn't interest them, they usually think alot in terms of the present thus their love for quick present gains and short sightedness....you can play along and pretend to share the same interests with them but deep down there wouldn't probably be any real attraction and you'd be the one getting bored...... I'd suggest you try surround yourself with people who share the same interests as you, go to those tech and science conferences and expos, you'd meet men and women who share the same interests as you and probably land a date....
