What bolt has always maintained is that a drivers rating is an average of his last 40 ratings. If you have any evidence to rhe contrary, I'll like to see it.

They do a review of all automatically system permanent blocks every week. He has been blocked permanently automatically by the system, but they will review his and all other blocks this week to determine If they should reverse the block or uphold it. After one week he will know if his block has been upheld reversed. So if after this week he isn't unblocked it means his block is permanent.
My advise is for him to go to their office, so they deal with it personally if they can and not just leave it for a general review panel.

I was thinking they meant they do a review of all blocked accounts every week . Didn't know its just the ones blocked automatically that week.

That's what they will normally tell you, even if you go to the office same.
They will calmly tell you they will escalate it to the team that blocked it and it will be reviewed then a mail will be sent to you, my brother na Loli roor

Then it only means that every new driver has a preset 40 trips all with 5 star ratings. So as you drive, your rating adjusts accordingly.

You can contact them for further clarification, this is just my opinion

We r saying the same thing but understanding/interpretation is different. Rating is calculated after every 40rated trips, then they will average it with ur current rating. Not average of last 40 accumulated rated trips. If it were so then ur rating should be changing after every rated trip like in Uber. But for Bolt, it shouldn't change until u have another set of 40rated trips. Buy recently it seems things have changed.

. Uber is also a good alternative, I think the best thing is to have all the apps on your phone. I have Bolt and Uber on my phone. Active unblocked account but I hardly put them on.

The bolded is wrong and where you're mixing it up.

Nowhere have I seen bolt say rating is calculated after every 40 rated trip. No one except them knows when it is calculated. Only thing bolt has told us is that, its an average of the last 40 trips.

This is another misconception. Averages don't work that way.

Your rating will only change if your current 40th rating is different from your 1st rating. This means your rating may not change after every rated trip.

Offcourse its a moving average, but they claim its only computed at every 40rated trips. Not at every point in time. There is a difference.

Uber calculates ur average rating for the last 500trips. So for uber ur rating can change after every rated trip but for bolt its after a set of 40 rated trips
