I've read through all the posts here as regards my last post  and I'm appreciative of all valid takes.
Those that contacted me understood the terms and are free to consider.
Someone here said I'm being helped. To fix a car you'd also benefit from in the long run.
You have no access to credit and you want to manage someone's fleet or car. I wouldn't want to leave my car or cars in the hands of a desperate man.

If I was a driver, I'd even prefer it this way because if payments from your contribution are to be spread across 10 months to one year, you will have an assurance of job security as against when a partner can give you a car and yank it off you at any time leaving you without a car again.
But I am not, that's why I want to hear valid reasons why what I suggested is bad or uncalled for.

Some comments made on faceless forums are the reason why some people don't go far in life (they still might because I'm not God) .
People run background checks before they conduct business  and the most people that have been beneficial to me in my line of business are acquaintances I made on social media.
So Learn to be civil with your interactions when few people are watching, and even more civil when more are.
I've had interactions with two or three popular nairalanders from the thread in real life and I must say they I wasn't really impressed.

However, I'm open to learning more so I can understand how I am being the exploitative one here and change for the better in being a good Partner or employee.

This sounds somehow grin

We can't blame everything on the country .. Yes we can agree that the government that is ruling the country are not doing their job well ......

But also we need to hold ourselves accountable too .. We as a people need to cut our coat to according to our size .... We have people out their having more kids than they can take care for .. some can't even take care of 1 child and u see them have 3 to 4 ....and the circles continue

Now from what I can see too . it seems to me the educated ones to rich ones to " middle class" are having less kids like 3 or max 4..... While the poor are ones are having kids like fowl .... ..

Your fowl comparison is dehumanizing why can't you use pig instead

Bro, for the young parents of nowadays, both educated and non educated, poor and rich are now having 2-4 children, even 2 or 3 most times. Orientation has changed, has got nothing with being poor or rich again.

Whether u admit it or not .. Poor family tend to have more kids that they can take care of .. This is due to many reasons due to religious to cultural belief. And lack of family planning has to do with it ......

Even in the western world ... Raising kids can be very expensive ... So people tend to have fewer kids like 3 or less ..

You want to be able to provide adequately for all the kids you have . The lesser the better, I believe that people shouldn't have kids if they can't take care of them ..

We need to start taking responsibility for our actions.. The wealthy usually don't have a lot of kids compare to the not so wealthy......

Ps . my recent trip in Nigeria almost broke my heart.. I saw kids hawking in traffic . these kids are suppose to be in school studying . And at nite I saw kids roaming the street with no parents to care for them .. It was sad ....

This emboldened is why I have been working on my exit plans. These E-hailing companies can sweep their carpet under you without batting an eyelid.

I mean, how are you sure it's the driver that took the item?. I narrated an ordeal months back, where the rider called back n was insinuating he forgot his wristwatch n I was with it.

Tbh, I was livid with rage, on a normal day if we met somewhere else apart from ehailng, he wouldn't dare even call to make such damming accusations.... I mean a bloody wristwatch.! for what..?

Very annoying I must say and these apps are the once even encouraging all these stupid acts by riders. Henceforth any item I find on my car I'll do with it using angryiboman's approach- throw them inside the lagoon waters.

The first-time a rider left a pair of glasses (N500) in my car I gave uber a straight warning when they called me to ask me to return the item.

Nonsense things, anyways I don't blame them it's the poor state of the nation I blame just look at up there somebody is stylishly asking for a down payment of over a N100k to fix a car he wants to guve out for rental of 30k per week and another is planning on implementing security deposit, meaning the one driving doesn't matter in anyways, no wonder some idiot called drivers zombies and looking deep you may want to say he's right otherwise who in his right senses be thinking of security deposit for a property he's renting out as if insurance companies or loan facilities have all gone in the society.

Is it owners with their selfish and jagabanic mentality of "I'm doing you a favor" drivers should loan money or pay securities to? And after few months they'll collect their car without notice even when you've done nor bridge any of the signed agreement.

This is nothing but weaknesses and rulers of darkness in high places in operation yet they'll come out masquerading themselves like they're Saints whereas they're just wolves in sheep clothing.

I once had a partner, he just bought a tok car, he said car was fit and ok to ride. How would I have known car was not even roadworthy test driving for less than 5min. The only thing he told me about rhe car was he needed to buy just spare tire. I started work, same day radiator, see over heating. I lend him money for a new radiator.
2days after, one tire racked, I bought from my pocket another day breaks then the next time another tire I just vex buy 2 from my pocket only for me to find out the spare wheel wasn't the right size so I'd to buy a brand new wheel fix the Tok tire I bought.

Immidiately after fixing the tires i just bought start motor make I go hustle car no gree start, shuu!!! which kind witch be this? Battery was the culprit.

Grin! Grin!!

Me: Oga, come this your car be like na to sell am oh.
Oga: watin again bro?
Me: battery is dead.
He sent 10k I borrowed from my madam buy new battery sold the old one 2k or there about did plus and minus. That was how my day ended.

3 weeks after shaft...the problem went on and on till I finally fixed every thing about the car. Theae where things he would have fixed b4 putting the car on rent.

After a month of working to get my money back guy man collected his car with the pretence of "I'm tired I want to sell the car". I just laughed and took a walk.

Is it the one I took on HP with a down payment of 100k plus other work I did on the car I will talk about? Blackbishop can bear me witness on that one, I spent over 50k fixing some things in the car. owner said I didnt remit during the compulsory endsars lockdown/curfew the president and State governor declared. Went to police they said the law guiding hp has been existing even b4 I was born and nothing like lockdown or endsars was mentioned as excuse reason while there was security deposit. Na shame I take commot for atation that day.

How about the one I borrow money to fix his shock absorbers? Or the one I fit his car after an accident spending 2x what I got from the offender?

Eyes half sin, all of these experience put together will never make ever again put my N1 on anybody's property again weather na Landlord or or caretaker or anything. Do your work I do my own

We about 4 in family ... My parents made sure we had a good education and taken care of .. We all went to private schools ..

If my father had a battalion of kids the kids will suffer and parents will suffer etc .. My father cut his coat according to his size . And by doing this he was able to provide the basic needs for his kids.......

If Nigerians want to have a battalion of kids, by all means it is their choice. When u fail to provide the basic needs for ur kids . than u have fail as a parent . the circle continues......

Look at the African American community .. So many single mothers ... Fathers were having kids like rabbit and since they can't care for the kids . they japa and the mothers are now stuck on welfare taking of the kids. The circle continues. .. People now wonder why they are poor

For peace of mind, dump that Agbero app and find solace elsewhere.

I am still very glad I dumped their ass and deleted their app with 7,700 debit.

Is it too much for these ehailing apps to inform riders that items forgotten in cars are at owners' risks and not drivers' or anyone's?

Even banks do post "Cars are parked at owners' risks"

Anybody that feels offended is probably at the offensive post and if the person feels I'm wrong let them qoute me where I'm wrong.

My eyes are instead getting fat and I'm actually moving higher and what surprises me the most is I can't even explain reasons for my numerous blessings. But those who think they've played a smart or fast one on me I still see them struggling not that I curse them ooh.. No! But I just believe God is blessing me for my hard work and good heart.

Yes it's my decision am a car owner. Have got my life to live too so as my wife. Is only in nigeria I see many people not having just simple vacation with their family because they've got plenty children. Children doesn't bring wealth! na your work go make you rich not children. And if you dont have better planning for kids, they'll turn wayward and make you suffer cos you gets double hustle

I met one bros the other day, he was lamenting about how terrible ehailing hustle is and all sort of trash... I sit him down and analyse it to him. If I start my hustle on Monday, I must have 5k separately for contributions, 2500 separately for next day fuel and 2k am dropping in the house. Anything I make after that will go for savings still. That's my principle but this bros get 4kids already and on rental wife isn't working and am wondering how is he coping.

If you're young guy reading this and you've not married yet, have a plan sit your wife to be down. Dont bear kids you can't raise. If na 1 or 2 your power reach, kindly do so. Nigeria problems start from the population.

With ehailing, if you have better planning, and god com bless you say you be car owner wallahi you'll make it if you're focus. Start saving 5k daily that's 25k for 5days simple 100k a month. Live within your standard that's all but I see my guys going to club balling and competing with G boys or having multiple girls.

And if you're a married man/woman reading this kindly have a family planning just bear the one you can raise I believe 2 is very okay for standard of living in naija. Unless you're billionaire even the so called billionaires dont bear children like average and poor class.

Just wondering how the discussion of down payment of 120k made a drastic turn to family planning and child bearing.

Can't you guys just allow people have their private life again? Instead of asking people not to have children tell them to become gay, lesbians or better still become a priest or reverend sisters then we would have solve our population and child bearing issues.

It will shock you that those ambassadors of "1 or 2" kids can't even father a child or impregnate a woman so they just want to hide under the umbrella of "I don't want any kid".

If it's an incidence/confrontation with the rider, they will contact u first for your side of the story, but if its based on rating or activity then they take action without recourse to u.

All problem in naija can't wipe out by 2023 so please have a plans populations is the biggest problem naija is currently facing

I rest here

I agree 100% with you .. No matter how hard it is financially .. 2 kids is good instead of 1

You came here on the prowl for people who are so desperate that they allow you take advantage of them. But fair enough bro, Nigeria is a desperate society. It's the reason why uber/bolt would put driver-partners under such egregious terms and people are still grateful to drive/partner with them.

UK recently made a ruling to make the hustle more humane, but guess what, their drivers don't even deal with half the nonsense Nigerian drivers have to deal with such as bad roads and a customer base where criminals roam free and strike at will.

Go raise money in a honorable way, put your car in serviceable condition then come back and seek for driver to work for you. You' prolly get one in your immediate environment if your terms were fair.
The truth is most Nigerians hate criticism and we mostly lack critical thinking skills. The average Naija gets by with the barest minimum of thinking/self-reflection, except food, money or sex is directly involved. Zero long term plans. Which is the problem of most of these drivers bragging with their 1.2m dashboard figures here...very soon LASG will impose a fresh set of levies on them cheesy

Be receptive to criticism bro, stop looking for interest-free loan from desperate people

Take the sermon to the north and not on sm because northerners are not on sm and those having multitude don't have time for sm as well.

Oga feli Don fourtuate.... Sharing of knowledge is not limited to a certain topic... Everyone ,with what works for him/her. Birth control is a global issue , giving birth requires appropriate planning, if not, such family will create menace and monsters for the society.. a perfect example is the northerners you mentioned.
